Great pan– always fresh and they have so many options! They have tamales, champurrado, atole, etc as well from the signage I saw. Great prices and there’s tons of parking.

Pastries!!! We got way too much! But it’s all good. Favorites: pineapple, custard or apple ‘turnover’ also have pumpkin but not as tasty. Strawberry coconut pastry. Pastry that tasted like a sugar cookie. Savory included cream cheese ham & jalapeño Small café with 1 table. Lots of choices!

First thing… FYD: Forget Your Diet. This is no place for all that nonsense. :P Seriously. This place has been in business forever. The pastries here are gorgeous, perfectly sweet, flaky, rich, fresh, irresistibly delish and flavorful while balanced. Definitely a mouthful. Don’t be intimidated with all the choices in their cases. If money isn’t an issue, get one or two of each to try and share with your favorite person. Even if you do so, it’s highly doubtful you will make much of a dent in your wallet. Each generously sized pastry is anywhere from $ 0.50-$ 1.00& some change each. Incredible value for authentic Mexican goodies baked throughout the day that tastes just as good as they look. Trust me. Overall, LM Bakery is so worth the drive, bike ride, walk, time, money, energy, day off, inconvenience, effort, gas or any other preconceived sacrifice you have to make to get there. Just go. :)

I love this little bakery! They make great Mexican pastries and they put enough sugar in for my gringo taste buds. Their pastries are sweeter than 99% of Mexican bakeries I’ve been to, and taste like they’re made with really good ingredients. My husband and I love their coconut macaroons — they taste like they’re made with real sugar instead of corn syrup. My other favorite are the Palmier style cookies. I always stop here when I’m in this shopping center. The other thing I love are their prices. VERY inexpensive. I can get a huge bag of cookies for just a few bucks. Actually it might help my diet if they were more expensive… oh well!

Finally good pan dulce! I’ve been trying different panderia’s all over oxnard and none of hot the mark, my husband came across this place and brought me home one of the blueberry elotes. Soo good and they have a raspberry one too. So I went back tried the blueberry turn over and cheese, pumpkin, reg elote all excellent. And what makes this a five star for me are the tamales I’m a bit of a tamale snob because my grandmas are Amazing and award winning so I’ve been spoiled and I never like any from a restaurant. I like these I’ve had the pork and the cheese they could be spicier but always lots of meat and light flavorful masa. Plus the people are so sweet and don’t make you feel pressured to hurry and get out like most places in town.

Ordered three dozen tamales for Christmas this year from La Mexicana Bakery. We’ve ordered from this bakery in the past and they were always good. Don’t know what happened this year but the pork tamales were mostly masa. The cheese were better but unfortunately two of the three dozen were pork. My husband declined to bring them to work for lunch since«they weren’t very good.»

La Mexicana tastes good, but not all that Mexicana for a panaderia. The items are a little on the plain side as offerings go, but they’re well-baked. I got a lecture from a small child while I was there, because I didn’t spot the tongs I should have been using and went with the plastic wrappers that are meant for lining the trays. I’d gotten a chocolate frosted raised donut, too, which was a light, airy delight. The donuts aren’t really what they do on a larger sense, but they have a lot of individual items instead of getting into a bunch of cakes or something.
