Pizza use to be really good but lately it has become really doughy and nothing special. I don’t recommend this.

From street side outward appearances, Mario’s has an old world Italian pizza parlor look, complete with heavy aluminum framing and a red neon sign denoting PIZZA, without the neon highlighting. Inside, three young Mexican staffers were hard at work prepping, handling the counter and readying deliveries yet I was one of only two inside. Quite possibly a take out and phone order heavy business, not due in any part to the inner cleanliness, the place was shining from front to back, walls to floors. Knowing that this area was heavily laden with Italians, some of the mafiosi persuasion, I envisioned a slice of pizza that would not disappoint. Error in judgment on my part to set the bar at that level. Outside appearance and physical proximity be dammed, the slice was beyond boring. No character at all. Dull sauce, the cheese was bland and the dough was unfortunately suffering from the same case of the humdrum ingredients.

I used to love this pizzeria back in the day. Now that it’s under different ownership, the quality of the food has decreased enough that I need to knock off a star. Whenever I go during the day, it’s for takeout and the pizza is usually not fresh unless you go at 11am when they open. Everything looks like it’s been sitting out for hours. Sometimes they even stack specialty slices directly on top of another. They have no regard for presentation which makes their food less appetizing. The pizza is also usually too doughy. However, the workers are very nice, as always. The reason I come here on occasion is for convenience when I need something quick(because I work a block away).

The food was horrible. I ordered a bit of everything and it all tasted the same. won’t be ordering again. Also the zeppoli is a joke. They use super thick dough and just serve it with a little powdered sugar. It was so unappetizing. Thick balls of dough that tasted like nothing.

Mario’s is the best! I work closeby so I’m ordering from there at least 2x a week. Their chicken & broccoli wraps are good. Also try their margarita personal pie pizza, the panini hero, both chicken and eggplant parm are good. Gonna try the caprese salad this week. All in all, what I love about Mario’s is that they don’t add extra tax to their orders so you’re not surprised when you pay the bill. Great service in an area where there aren’t a lot of healthy options.

I’ve stumbled upon this place and it’s now my go to pizza spot, I’m not known to eat more than one slice, but these guys definitely know what they’re baking. I find myself consuming 2 – 3 pcs, that’s how good it taste.

I am a person that lives in the nieghborhood and I will firsthandedly tell you its not the best. Every time I go there it is out of pure convenience beacuase it is walking distance. The workers are the only positive, they are always friendly and welcoming. Other than that though, the service is really slow, especially for sub par food. The plain cheese pizza always taste bland, too much cheese and very little sauce-which doesn’t have much taste to begin with. The garlic knots are soaked in oil and when I gave the salad a try it tasted old, the lettuce color was brown. Overall they fall flat in even the simpliest of dishes, lacking flavor and finesse. I would not reccommend this eatery to anyone, especially those who I genuinly want to get a taste of good, authentic Queens pizza. I’d rather guide them to Romeo’s on liberty ave for that.

The food is horrible pizza dough is not cooked and raw, the chicken rolls are leftovers from the day before and warmed up. Taste like cardboard.

Always good stuff. Quick delivery and always hot food. I order when I visit a friend and its only block away. The selection is pretty typical of a pizzeria but the marinara sauce is wonderful, the pizza crispy but not burnt and their stuffed shells super cheesy. I’m not really fond of their chicken items because it’s processed chicken breast, not the fresh kind. Still good neighborhood pizzeria.

I love their pizza! The best way to go is to order a whole pie because it’s freshly made and so yummy. Our friend came to visit us from Chicago and he offered to buy pies from Mario’s the whole weekend because he loved them so much. We’ve also had their dinners, which are very good. Love the shrimp parm.

I’ve had better pizza elsewhere than here, but I came here as I was on the way home from visiting my former neighborhood. Mario’s Pizza is very mediocre bland and certainly not burnt. It’s okay but not the best as it need some basil leaves. Price is not reasonable at $ 4.00 per slice. Extremely overpriced. Over exaggerated.
