The frozen yogurt is runny and watery. Yeah real appealing. I used to go often, living right there. Now, not so much. I see a for rent sign, and not sure if it is still open. That is not real gelato to me. Sorry, I am Italian, and having been around it my whole life, I can tell the difference. Not even close. To call it real gelato is an insult!
The prices you pay for those pastries are not worth it either! Everything is way overpriced!

No AC?! 94 degree day! So strange. And when I asked about the air conditioner — all staff (with the exception of one helpful and lovely girl) seemed to be disillusioned and in another world. Gelato is semi decent, hit or miss. Pretty place but needs WORK!

This place is horrible. It was semi decent 2 years ago, when I had green tea gelato. They don’t even had that now. The flavors for the gelato section are bad. They charge you double the price for frozen yogurt. I had a bubble tea from here and it was nasty! The tapioca was soggy and too chewy. One of the workers suggested a berry tart and it was nasty as well. The service is bad here as well. The only good thing about scoops is the seating area and how they have a parking lot.

Froyo is terrible, macaroons are tasteless. Gelato depending on the flavor is semi decent. Also, everything is way over priced. But the actual venue itself is cute & cozy. Thats about it.

Service is bad, food is OK but takes a long time.

The pastries are delicious but the frozen yogurt is terrible and the toppings are stale.

Ever wanted cake delivered at the last minute on a weekday after 6pm? Well, I did, and did not regret it. I tried their chocolate truffle cake with a friend and it was heinously moist and rich. SO good. The only drawback is that it was a little expensive (about $ 22 for half a cake), but considering no other bakery was gonna deliver to my address at the time, it was well worth it. I would definitely order from them again and maybe even drop by their store location.

After indulging at a nearby local bar and restaurant, gelato was my calling to end the evening. Scoops is a local gelato, ice cream, burgers and salad business of good cheap quality eats but cannot be considered a full healthy comprehensive meal. I ordered one small cup of Stracciatella $ 3.67 which is a reasonable price as the server overflow the cup. In scanning the glass refrigerated case, Scoops does have a decent selection of gelato flavors. They also have waffles sundaes… yum, I love waffles. Seating is available and there is the local newspaper «Queens Courier» to read while munching your gelato. Background music is from the radio.

this place sucks, dont ever get bubble tea from here. i came here twice and wad disappointed both times.

There is a reason why this place has 2 and half stars. In my book this place doesn’t deserve any Stars but there isn’t any option for that. 2 weeks ago was The first time I came to this place they were closed. The lady told me that they are closed due to Construction. There wasn’t any sign that stated this at all.
The next time I went to this store was yesterday evening. Me and my girl walked in and requested Frozen yogurt but the girl that works there told me they are out… Ok so I asked for Bubble Tea with ice cream inside they didn’t have any either. ***Note to this establishment don’t post Ads or Offers that you have Bubble Tea and Frozen Yogurt in front and inside your store if you can’t provide the services needed to your customers. They don’t even have ice cream. All they have is Gelato and that is it.
Yet this place has an «A» rating? What? This place should have an «F-​» in my Book.
On top of that While leaving this place I stepped in some kind of Purple Stuff that ruined my shoes. Honestly don’t wasted your time here go spend your money somewhere else. Worse place in all of CrossBay Blvd I’m telling you.

I use to come here quite frequently but every time I was there it seems the staff is more interested in having side conversation with each other rather than actually assisting the customers. But nonetheless bad service or not I was still a frequent here because I really do enjoy the ice cream. Unfortunately one summer night my sister and I stopped by for some ice cream and we realized there was raw onions in her baklava ice cream. Needless to say, I will not be going back, ever.

I don’t know why some people are giving scoops a bad review but honestly their crepes are amazing! Ice cream is good too. Never had a problem. Always satisfied

Place is under new management as far as I can tell. The pro is that now they have self serve frozen yogurt. The big cons are the family friendly atmosphere is gone and prices are high. Hard core rap blasting like a club on a Saturday afternoon, and the place doesn’t seem as clean. I will now go out of my way to enjoy my fro yo fix elsewhere.

The appeal is the décor. Really modern looking. Everything else about this place is horrible. Way over priced, dirty, and the service is just horrible. There’s nothing special about their froyo or overpriced muffins. Go to twist it top it in Howard Beach, it’s way better.

Place has become filthy! No one there bothers to clean any tables for people to sit at. It’s not like they are busy at all to do so. Also the freezers make so much noise. The place is really going downhill. Such a shame!

Was here last night after dinner with my best friend, and as always its a great time! tons of choices and they mix and match whatever you ask them to. If you want Caramel or Nutella, Whipped Cream they have it all! They have lots of yummy pastries (Rainbow Cookies being my fav!) Always fresh and tasty! Fast service and friendly workers. :)

Horrible place. Froyo is ok but the topics are nothing special, there are places around that have both better and larger varieties.
My boyfriend got one of their bubble teas here once and it was just sugared down, it was so horrible and disgusting. He couldn’t finish it. The lady also had no idea what she was doing and was not informed about the kind of flavors the store holds when we asked her.
I got a milkshake one day here also and the guy added so much milk that I was unable to tell what flavor ice cream I ordered. I also asked to put crushed brownies in there but they were so big that they wouldn’t fit trough the straw. They were then left to the bottom and when I ate them they tasted old.
I have given this place numerous tries but have been let down each time. This place is horrible. The only thing they have that is ok is their ice cream. Otherwise I suggest going somewhere else.

I’ve been to a few gelato stores and compared with this one it is just okay.
They have a large selection of gelatos and ice cream.
They have a make your own salad option. Who knew you could find this at a gelato shop?
They have assorted baked goods.
It is a pretty good place to grab desserts after lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.
On this nice after lunch day, I ordered the Tiramisu, figs, and pistachio gelatos. It was a really good combo for me and I like the earthy toned colors of my dessert. = p.
One of the things I liked most about this place was not their spacious parking lot behind the store nor was it that it was directly across the place I had lunch at but their pricing.
No, it was not cheap nor was it overly expensive.
But, the pricing was tax included which I’m sure saved a lot of folks time figuring out the total price of their sweet fix.
The large cup I got was for $ 5.76. I had 3 scoops total.
I’d say I paid market price.
On a beautiful day like today who could really complain.

This place is very appealing to the eye. They did a great job decorating and branding, however…
No one was wearing a hairnet. I watched a girl with very long hair run her fingers through her hair repeatedly and whip it around and then make an ice cream for a waiting customer with no gloves on.
Another employee was seen sneaking toppings into her mouth with her bare hands.
A third employee was making waffles and removing them from the iron with her bare hands right after touching money. (She was the cashier/​server). It seemed she was doing everything for a time because the other employees were too busy trying to put everything away 2 hours before they were even scheduled to close. The funny part is that a rush of customers came in and they had to put everything back.
Considering that their hands touch the ice cream accidentally on the regular, it seems like gloves would be a great idea.
Having an ice cream parlor around is great and I’m happy they’re here but would be happier if there wasn’t a strand of long brown hair over the cookies n cream.

I couldn’t wait to try Scoops! Unfortunately, it flopped.
My wife and I visited Scoops on a Saturday morning before the afternoon rush. We walk in and there’s a gentleman mopping the floor with this harsh ammonia smell which was just overwhelmingly horrible. How can you use such harsh detergent when you are selling items that consumers eat?
So we decided against our better judgement to order two small vanilla frozen yogurts with chocolate chips on them. Apparently this order was complicated for the young girl behind the counter who asked us to repeat it twice. The yogurt had no taste to it, completely bland, no vanilla flavor — just plain blah! Very disappointing!
After a few spoon fulls, we both tossed the frozen yogurts in the trash. Horrible first experience. We will not be going back. There’s a new place opening on Cross Bay, I’m hoping to try that place soon!
