Having a local place that you can bathe your dog is invaluable. It’s nice that the tub is at wait level with you so you don’t have to bend over. The water got hot fast. And stayed the temperature that you set it to. The staff gives you two clean, dry towels before the bath begins. There is a basket of different brushes and different grooming tools. The shampoo selection was ok. I’m not a fan of the brands they have. But bringing your own is no big deal. There is walls that separate the tubs, so you don’t have to worry about dogs who are not dog friendly. In fact they have a tub in a private room. So if your dog is aggressive you have an option. There is a dryer on the wall next to the tub, making drying fast and easy. Best of all it was only 12 bucks and a hour of my own time. The store part of it has a pretty good selection of pet products. They had a selection of things you would need after a vet visit. Such as vet wrap, buster collars, etc. The prices were very reasonable. The staff member that was there when I came was very nice and seemed to enjoy her job. She helped with what ever you had questions about. The parking is a little scary. You have to park on the street. It makes you nervous when you have to cross a busy street with your beloved companion. But over all I will be bringing my dog for a bath from now on.

Wonderful! I called and the phone was answered immediately. I told her needed to wash my dog and that he’s a troublesome husky so she put me in the secluded wash room. She gave me two different shampoos Advice and a comb! Because of the secluded room my dog was easy to wash and didn’t make a sound! She checked on us several times and offered a lot of assistance. I was so please with the layout of the store and the management that I spent $ 60 worth of goodies for my dog! The prices of treats beats Petsmart and Petco. The food is a little pricey. The knickknacks such as travel bowls, toys, bandanas and feeders are actually cheaper than online! The young girl with the dark hair and dark eyes and black T-​shirt was very helpful and so was the pretty lady with the butterfly tattoos! I spent over an hour washing and drying my dog with a lot of help and it only cost me $ 12! Some of the stuff and treats I saw there I’ve never seen before they have unique items. Needless to say I’ll be coming back here a lot!

This place is fabulous. A great selection of organic pet food for any taste! They are very friendly with customers, have their own, parking, and have a self-​serve pet wash. They send coupons to members of their mailing list and give active duty military 15% off their total bill. You can’t beat that!

I use to love this place until this weekend. I went in arriving at 4:02 the worker was in the back as the phone started to ring she came out and answered the phone. After she finished on the call. I say here to wash my pal she tells me so sorry last call was at 4pm it’s now 4:05 I said it’s only 5 min she tells me she has another job to go to and is closing up. I drove there clear over from Seaside. REALLY 5 minutes! The gal was rude and when asked if she might recommend another location she tells me of a place even farther away clear in Pacific grove at the top of the hill. I ask if she knows if they are open she dials 411 to check as much as I appreciated her efforts that’s not the point. She should of let me wash my dog. TO the OWNER get a new employee who cares about your business!

We love these guys. They stock the Merrick’s food which our dogs love and also special ordered our pup’s dry food and have it in stock for us to pick up. Staff is always friendly and courteous and we’ve even used their pet wash facilities after a sandy day at the beach with the dogs.

If you’re Ike me and have a large breed dog that does not require grooming, you hate the idea of washing your dog. This place is the best! I brought in my dog and paid a very reasonable $ 12 and was given all of the supplies (including apron for me) to clean my dog. The wash area is clean and well stocked with dryers, towels, and brushes. The basins are at waist height and the hose with shower head are easily in reach. It is worth the money not to mess up your house and strain your back. Your dog will thank you.

This is a small, family-​owned business that consistently delivers personal attention, genuine warmth and great products for pets. We get all of our dog and cat food, and accessories here. Prices are reasonable, selection is good, and they will special order anything that’s not in stock.
They offer a «frequent customer» reward program, and some discounts for employees at local businesses.
The staff are super helpful. There’s also a dog-​wash area, either you wash or they’ll wash and groom for you.
If you lke doing business with folks who know your name, know your pets and keep the profits in the community, this is the place go go.

I love this place. I foster for a dog rescue and routinely bring in different dogs who have little to no bathing experience. The staff is wonderful and helpful. I’ve purchased a donut bed that all my dogs love. They also have this amazing chicken jerky that makes my current foster go through her entire trick «routine» to get some.
The last time I went, I mentioned being nervous about clipping black nails. The woman who helped me pulled out a dog encyclopedia, showed me exactly what to do, and provided me with the powder in case I clipped too high. This is a phenomenal store that I will continue to shop from regularly. I couldn’t be happier with the staff, facilities, or products.

This is the kind of pet store you go to because it’s more important that your dog love it, than you. I love this store, and my dogs loves it even more! Employee Abby is the reason both myself and my dogs shop here. Before I walk in the door, the dogs know we are at Best Pet and they get so excited! (and my dogs are normaly very shy with anyone outside of the family) As we walk in, we are greeted by Abby and she knows my dogs by name! They adore her. The store also offers a selection of high quality products, food, treats, toys, etc. Yes, it’s a small shop so they don’t have a ton of stuff, should they ever not have something I want I can simply request it and they will order it for me. They also have tubs there to wash your dog. So if you don’t want to dirty up your tub at home, and/​or want to save your back bending over bathing your dog, you can do it at Best Pet and they have all the supplies you need. And you don’t have to clean the tub after!
So don’t support the large unpersonal chain pet supply stores. Shop
at Best Pet and you will feel good about supporting the local «ma ‘n pa» shops, you will feel good about the care your pet gets, and earn positive karma points! ;)

Friendly staff. Knowledgeable about local vets and dog friendly parks, etc. I love the self-​wah tubs. Great height for saving the back strain. A dog owner’s dream for hard to find items, they’ll order for you!

I and my dogs love this place. Started patronizing for the self-​wash dog tubs. They supply the towels and shampoo and blow dryers. There are 4 tubs in an open area (each sectioned off) and then one tub in a separate room. I’ve never had to wait for a tub probably because dogs and their peeps move in and out quickly.
But, if you have to wait, this place has great dog stuff to buy– dog toys and beds (they carry the Bagel Bed which I highly recommend), treats and food, leashes and collars, cards, etc. And the young staff is always nice.

Nice little neighborhood pet supply store stocked with lots of natural and high quality food and treats for dogs and cats. They also have a great selection of toys/​collars/​leashes/​beds/​etc including stuff I haven’t seen at any other area pet stores. Prices seem fairly comparable to Posh Pets in PG, in fact the two stores are overall very similar and I’d recommend both.
The once special thing about Bestpet is that they have a do-​it-​yourself dog wash area. I have yet to try it myself, but it looks pretty spiffy. Dog wash prices seem a bit high though… what was it, like $ 15? It seems like you could just pay Petsmart or wherever that much and they’d do all the work for you…
