I have had to use What It Is’s services many times over the years. Eric and the entire staff are gracious, they listen, they are so polite and remarkable craftsmen. Every car I have taken to them has been finished on time, beautifully painted and repaired and better than before. I have and will continue to recommend What It Is to anyone in need of repairs or restoring older cars. I have seen first hand the magic they have performed on an old beat up car and turned it into a collector’s dream. Eric deals with the insurance companies and the car rental companies for you and I believe he has an excellent reputation with all of them, being so congenial that things go smoothly.

I brought a hood scoop in to be painted. It was already prepped so… it just needed paint. That was 3 ½ weeks ago. I’ll let you know if I ever get it back.
Well, I get to pick up my part tomorrow. So, if you can wait 5 weeks (or more) for your painting needs…

I came by to get an estimate and to set up an appointment. Within minutes the owner, Eric, has me set up with a rental car, dealt with the insurance company and I was ready to go. It was great.
They did a beautiful job fixing the damage. I even found that a tiny rusty spot I had been worried about, but never mentioned, «magically» had vanished while my car was there. They took great care of everything and at a very good price. My car looks like new again.
I highly recommend «What It Is». This is a very friendly place that just feels like family. If you go visit next time you need work done you will see what I mean.

I got a dent from an idiot and he got it out and made my car look like new. He also helped me with a bunch of other scratches and dents that I had left on my car for years. He’s the best and his pricing you can’t beat.

ive had three experiences with these guys over the past couple years. 1) i hit my passenger mirror off … i purchased a cheap replacement on ebay that was the wrong color and they made it match my jetta’s paint color perfectly. 2) backed my brand new toyota into a parked car and they buffed and cleaned up the bumper to look like new again and 3) I was rear ended and needed a lotttt of work done. they ordered my parts and had it all fixed up in no time. they were all great! fast and friendly service. my car was ready when they said it would be. and the final product was cleannnn and flawless.

I am moments away from going to pick up my car at What It Is Body and Paint. My experience has been spectacular! My car was involved in a hit/​run and the entire back end was smashed in to the point where I had to pop open my gas tank with a credit card to access the gas.
This was my first auto accident ever and I really had little idea of the insurance/​rental car/​auto body process.
Eric took care of everything for me. I arrived there with my poor car to an awaiting rental car.
He went over what to expect thoroughly and took care of all insurance details for me. Any questions I had along the way were answered to my complete satisfaction. It has only been a week and my car is already fixed!

Wow, I just got into a major accident with my 05′ Chevy Blazer Xtreme. A friend of mine recommended this What It Is in Pacifica, so I decided to take it there. As soon as I got the call that the job was done, I went strait over there and was impressed by how well my car looked! I swear, it was as if it had never been wrecked!
