Wetzel & Sons Moving & Storage

My second time using Wetzel & Sons, the first time some 25 years ago went perfectly. I moved on Saturday Oct 24^th which was my 3^rd move in 3 years and I have used movers each time. This was not a perfect move, things went wrong and I was unhappy. Having a dialog with Daniel Wetzel (owner) was refreshing, an owner that actually cares about his business not just talk. He made everything right and I cannot thank Wetzel & Sons for their commitment to integrity and customer service. Use Wetzel & Sons Moving & Storage with confidence, if I have to move again I will be calling them.

This is the second time I’ve used Wetzel & Sons. All I can say is they’re amazing. Moved my 2,100 sq. ft house last year. They packed the whole house and moved it into a rental. Now I had them move my business (2,700 sq. ft.) with our Computer rack filled with sensitive equipment.
They were fantastic ! I can’t more highly recommend them. Oh, their pricing is very reasonable as well. I’ll use them again without hesitation.

They packed and moved my mothers antique furniture in Santa Monica into a storage facility in 2010 and 5 years later. all fine and not one thing broken. And there were porcelain plates, glass chandeliers, porcelain statues, crystal, tea sets, Royal Crown Darby china… If it was expensive and breakable, my mum had it! :)

Love this company. They have moved my boss 3x now and he’s also used them for storage for over a year at a time. I think they’re really well priced for the white glove service that they give. Everyone is always extremely helpful, informative and professional. Hands down the best movers I’ve ever used. Liana in the office is impeccable with service. She’s so nice and really worked with us when we had to change the date a few times. Great, great company. :)

The BEST ever! I have worked with Wetzel for over 15 years and have always been beyond pleased. I have used them for packing, moving and storage. They pack things the most professional way and protect all of your stuff. They are thoughtful and plan out the move so that it doesn’t take extra time.
I have also been to the storage facility many times and it is the most organizing, clean storage in all of California!
The office staff goes out of their way to make things the way you want and need it. The moving staff is really nice and helpful.
I could go on and on about Wetzel because they really are the best.

Moved with them today and recommend them very very highly. Jerry and Jose were prompt, friendly, skilled, efficient, funny… they put the service in customer service. Jerry has been a mover for over 20 years and it shows in his love of the work and his skill in handling tricky situations. Plus, Lorenzo was awesome in setting up the move and staying in touch as the moving day approached. They are not the cheapest movers, but I feel they offer the greatest value, by far, and I would choose them again in a heartbeat for my next move and would ask for Jerry and Jose. If you want a low stress move from people who pride themselves in delivering quality service, pick Wetzel and sons.

My husband and I just used Wetzel to move to our new residence. I cannot speak highly enough regarding the professionalism and top-​notch service we received. I initially met with Justin for the estimate/​bid back in June. He was knowledgable, friendly and prompt, and provided us with different options. He followed up with us the day before the move to confirm all of the details and estimated arrival time of the crew. The crew consisted of four team members (Antonio, Jesus R. Sal V. and Oscar), all of which were meticulous in their careful handling and packaging of goods. They hustled all day and performed a flawless operation. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is planning a move. We originally contemplated doing the work ourselves and I’m so glad we chose Wetzel. I plan to use them again in the future for any storage/​relocation needs we have.

Just had a great experience with Wetzel & Sons. I would like to personally thank Jerry R. & Jason who came to my office and moved 48 legal sized business boxes to our offsite storage. The appointment window was set for 12 – 2. Jerry called prior to coming which was great. It gave us enough time to finalize last minute items. Both of them were friendly and professional which is so important these days. We had a set up we wanted to do at the offsite storage and I was impressed that the both of them listened to what we wanted to do. Upon arriving to the offsite storage, they unloaded all the boxes in the storage hallway and then reviewed how I wanted them organized. I really appreciated that. It will make document shredding in the future go much smoother. Jason even offered to moved some boxes for me that were already there. He didn’t need to do that but offered anyway. They both worked well together and had a good send of humor. It made this yearly task much more bearable. We have used Wetzel & Sons previously but nothing out of the ordinary that would compel me to write a review. Thank you again for great service.

I’ve had the unfortunate situation of needing to move twice in a matter of three months due to a flea infestation in the home I lived in for only 2 months. I used Wetzel for the first move and another company for the second as their rate was 50% lower.
Wetzel and Sons was professional, on-​time, and did the job with no unnecessary frustration on my end, save some scratches they left on my floor that they removed promptly after I called.
Wetzel over-​delivered on professionalism and most importantly, packing my sensitive glassware and furniture. Not a scratch on anything and their packing skills were impeccable!
There is one person at Wetzel I want to identify by name as he simply was outstanding in trying to get me the moving date I wanted and attempting to accommodate every request: Justin. Not only did he work tirelessly to help me, he was kind and had a bright sunny disposition on top of it. Thank you Justin.
To compare, the other moving company broke three pieces of my furniture, two without repair, and carelessly packed two pieces of glassware together in wrapping clearly resulting in breakage. Some fragile pieces they simply threw in a box without any wrapping whatsover! Not only this, they were unprofessional while moving my things as I needed to tell them on 6 different occasions about items they were leaving behind.
I’ve learned the lesson on «you get what you pay for». IF I have to move again, and I really hope that doesn’t come any time soon, it’s Wetzel for me!

Just used these guys to move me for the 3 time in 14 years. Each time I’ve gotten 2 – 3 other bids. They’re usually the mid range. They did such a great job. They were so professional. So friendly and helpful and fast. But they’re super busy and I couldn’t get the move date i wanted. So had to move a few days later. They were also really good with follow up and checking in before my move date to see if I was on track, needed anything.
I was mostly packed when they showed up about 15 min early on my move day. I thought I’d have time to catch up with the stuff but their crew was so fast I was scrambling to finish so they could get it on the trucks before they had loaded my 4+4 house! The estimator was right on the money. Even tho when lead guy showed up in the morning and I took him around, he said he thought they would need more time than was estimated. But he was wrong! They did allow for exactly enough time, trucks and manpower for my move.
It was super hot out too and they were just there to help with whatever I needed! They didn’t seem put out, or exhausted (which i’m sure they were) or wishing they had a different job. They made me feel like they were there to help ME! Plus they came up with a great solution when a couple pieces wouldn’t fit into one room, after trying really hard. So much happier with the revised set up!
Im a caterer and I have lots of fridges and freezers full of food and was expecting to get boxes from them to pack the fridge stuff (they said the freezers could stay full!) right before they were done loading. I went out to the garage to get started and one of the guys had already packed out the whole 7 foot fridge! And it was labelled outdoor fridge. Went inside and inside one had already been done.
Last time I moved I had friends help me pack most of my stuff and hired Wetzel for 2 days to help me pack. Their packers were amazing. So fast we ended up only needing one day of their packers!. Everything fragile was wrapped perfectly and carefully.
Only complaint was last time I moved 5 years ago, I told them to be careful with my very fragile original 55 year old Eames chair. And they did break it. They tried to fix after the move. They came and picked it and took it to be repaired. But it broke again exact same place the second it came back and I never followed up.. Haven’t been able to sit in it since. But otherwise great experience and highly recommend!

Justin organized our move and was incredibly thorough so we did not have any surprises on moving day. They came out beforehand to see how much we had to move. They documented every piece of furniture they packed. Nothing broke. John and his crew were so polite and professional. As stressful as moving can be, Wetzel made it that much easier!

Since 1993 my interior design firm has worked with several of my clients moving companies. Wetzel’s & Son’s is by far the best! and I would recommend to anyone who may find themselves requiring a moving company.
Their office staff, moving and packing crews are experienced, polite and on time, very conscientious.
They bend over backwards to make sure every detail is addressed and taken care of.

My husband and I just moved into our new home last weekend, and we could not have been happier with the movers from Wetzel & Sons. They were courteous, careful with our belongings, and arrived right on time. We have a few large pieces of furniture that are not easy to move, to say the least, but these two guys made it look easy, without causing any damage to the walls or the furniture.
We were so impressed with their speed and careful efficiency that we would recommend Wetzel & Sons to all of our friends and family. I wish I had gotten the names of our two movers, because I would be asking Wetzel to give them a raise!

What an amazing group of individuals, who prove that teamwork, works BEST. All the employees from my first contact with Luis to Armanado coming out for the estimate, to the four VERY HARDWORKING packers and movers were FANTASTIC. I don’t understand why this company has a 1 star review. I recently moved to West LA and a good friend of mine, highly recommended these guys.
These guys do it all — moving, packing, unpacking, packaging, and they even cleaned up the mess of boxes and trash. Everyone I spoke to and met was very helpful and patient with my situation. My friend warned me that they get booked up quickly, especially on short notice. But they were able to get back to me and fit me in, within a few hours.
All the movers were VERY careful and professional about moving my stuff. Once they got started, they were done in no time.
I usually move things myself and it’s always a big hassle — typically, I rent a U-​Haul. This was the first time I went to a professional moving company to handle it. I really dislike moving… in fact, I HATE it. But for the first time, these guys made tolerable and painless.
I would definitely use these guys again.
