Advanced Optometry

After dealing with some problems at Optix of La Quinta for the past week, today was my first appointment at Advance Optometry and I LOVED my first appointment. The facility was great, the equipment was up to date, the doctor was amazing and the staff Jay and Julie where amazing and made everything run so smoothly. I recommend Advance Optometry to everyone.

Our whole family (including 6 & 8 year old kids) have been seeing Dr. Baus for two years. Since my husband and I both have very strong prescriptions, we are naturally concerned with our kids’ vision as well, and Dr. Baus is really good at putting them at ease and very patient with them. They actually like going to the eye doctor! We like that he’s easy-​going and friendly, and good at explaining treatment options and expectations. His staff is great too, and they’ve been really helpful and accommodating with us. We very much recommend Dr. Baus!

Great staff, fantastic office. Dr. Baus is extremely helpful in explaining what’s going on with your eyes. The staff really helped me out with getting a pair of prescription sunglasses that will hold up during hikes, look good, and support my massively thick lenses. Love this place!

During our exam, I had informed Dr. Lebby that I use prism in my lenses because I have double vision. Though I have been using prism in my glasses for about 15 years, he said that I did not need it… though he did give me that special test, I knew his equipment was not up to date… I went ahead and accepted it… When I got my new glasses, I found that I had double vision in the distance, I figured that there was no or not enough prism, I complained. Another optometrist examined my eyes again… yes, I did need prism and they had my glasses redone… It was much better… a year later, I felt that I need stronger prism… so I decided to go to an optometrist who specializes that. I asked Dr. Lebby to fax my exam records… it was incomplete. Because Dr. Lebby is over 80 years old, maybe 90 years old, I felt he is incompetent and ran his office incompetently. Maybe he is alright for those with simple needs… Nevertheless he should not still be practicing.

Being new to Palm Desert I decided to take a chance with Dr. Lebby based on reviews and the reasonable pricing and I am so happy I chose him! He is so funny. He literally had me laughing my entire appointment. He was so much fun & a total jokester. He really knows his stuff and took the time to really make sure my prescription would be correct. They wait was less than 5 minutes and the man and woman working In front were so helpful and took the time to help me decide on frames while giving me an honest opinion

Finally got around to updating my review!
I do enjoy how friendly they are in the office. I do like my frames.
However, I am a little torn on the value. I paid over $ 600 for my exam, frames and lenses (my frames were around $ 200).
It’s hard to wrap my head around the price… but I needed new glasses.
They lasted about 9 months until I needed new lenses because the anti-​reflective coating wore off. Thank goodness I had a warranty on my lenses. They DID replace the lenses at no cost and changed out the coating because the first lenses had a green tint to them.
Will I get my next pair with them, probably not, it’s just too expensive. But, I did like the dr. and office staff.

Staff was great. Very professional. Great location. Nice clean office where you can park right in front. Much better than his mall location he had for years. All the services you need for your eyes. Entire family is welcome!,

I loved my visit! First one in 4 years and everything went great. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and Doctor Lebby is very nice. It was my first visit there, and they made me feel like I had been a life long patient. This office has definitely become my go to office and I cannot recommend it enough!

I Absolutely love Dr Jack Lebby he is the sweetest, kindest, gentle person I’ve ever met. I feel so protected in his office… so at home. Julie is extremely friendly and sweet and Frankie too! All the staff is absolutely awesome! I recommend this place it’s the best!

I have gone to Dr. Lebby for years, he has successfully fitted me with contacts, diagnosed my Glucoma and been truly professional and friendly always.
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful!

Richard Rieber was very helpful when I asked about about a minor glitch in my eyeglasses. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix it while I was shopping in the mall.
