I was excited to get my hair done by Shelbie since she said that she specializes in blonde and the fact that she worked at a salon on El Paseo says a lot. I went in to do a blonde ombré. I asked for a couple of highlights to frame my face and break the growth line. I trusted her completely so I didn’t question all the foils going into my hair… Then off we went to the wash bowl. When I looked in the mirror I had orange highlights all over the place! I asked for her to correct. If I wanted orange highlights I could have gone to Mexicalli for ¼ of the price. She was very nice and toned it for me one more time. The second time around I still noticed a bit of orange while my hair was wet. But I thought«okay, I’ll give it a chance» when she got done blow drying my hair I wanted to scream! My hair was all blonde! With some orange. Again, I thought«okay, I’ll give it a shot, I’ll get home and style it myself before I panic». Well I did, and not only was I totally unhappy about it, but my husband started calling me blotchy carrot top.(And he never notices anything) So I emailed Shelbie telling her that I don’t think I can live with the color. She pretty much told me that it’s going to be that way since my natural hair color is dark… Okay, understandable for my roots, however, the rest of my hair was previously bleached so why is it orange ?? I gave her a chance to correct the color and she pretty much told me that it will cost another $ 80! No thank you, I will leave the color correction to the professionals. I’ve been getting my hair processed for over 15 years and I’ve never had this issue. Even when I died my hair a dark brown and went back to blonde. I’m really disappointed I took a chance. I should’ve just stuck to my hairdresser at Ulta. Even my sister in law that just got out of cosmetology school does a better job. I hate writing negative reviews, but I think this might save someone’s hair one day. On a positive note… She was a nice girl…
