Olive A’ Sudden

I am a regular here. They are very helpful with their recommendations. I mostly use for dressings. My favs are the Pineapple Vinegar (paring with the Tuscan Herb Oil) and the Cranberry Pear. I add a bit of fresh oregano and thyme, salt and pepper to the mix and the result is unique and wonderful. No need to ever buy bottled dressings again.

My Sis and I were here today… Awesome products. Rick the owner is a hoot and knows his Stuff. Would recommend any one in the area go have a look see… you won’t be disappointed. Everyone was Super Great

Super Friendly service and a great variety of oils and vinegars. If your unsure of something it’s fine you can sample almost everything. I really liked this place but the friendly service has it’s drawbacks we had to wait almost fifteen minutes to checkout while he walked another customer through all the oils and vinegars. Maybe a second employee is in order so one can checkout and one can work the floor

I recently took a walking food tour with Desert Tasty Tours and Olive A“Sudden was one of the stops on our tour. Gary was very informative about the olive oil and balsamic vinegars in the store. If you are in the Palm Springs area, Olive A’Sudden should be one of the stops on your visit. Check out their Black Cherry Balsamic Vinegar — it was GREAT on ice cream!

My best friend was visiting and she is an olive oil aficionado, so I thought this might be a good place to visit.
Knock my socks off! There were dozens of olive oils and vinegars. The tastes were amazing and not just candied-​up but clear and crisp.
Can’t wait to take my husband’s best friend who is blind. On the other hand, he might not survive the bliss.

When it comes to selling olive oils, this is indeed as good as it gets.
Olive A’ Sudden sells olive oils, balsamics, and other specialty oils like truffle and almond. Now you may be hesitant to buy a whole bottle of something like lavender olive oil or a super spicy blend. However, the store lets you sample pretty much everything, so go nuts!
I am a big fan of the garlic olive oil. I also got the hassina which is very, very spicy. I wanted the smaller size of that one but they were out of stock. It worked out though; they sold me the bigger bottle for the price of a small one! Now that’s how you keep business.

We were waiting for a table to open up next door, so we decided to look through Olive A’Sudden. All of the oils and balsamic vinegars were delicious. Gary was working and was very knowledgeable of the products and ways to pair them together. We bought 4 different bottles, and within a week we had used them all. I loved the dark chocolate balsamic over fresh strawberries, and the White Cranberry balsamic. I can’t wait to pick up some different bottles next time I am in Palm Springs or Palm Desert

My boyfriend and I have been big fans of Olive A Sudden products for a long time now but hadn’t had a chance to go into the store until recently. We dropped by the Rancho Mirage location over the Labor Day Weekend and were immediately greeted by Ali. She was very friendly, attentive and helpful without being pushy
We told Ali about the flavors we had tried in the past and what we liked and were looking for. She quickly made some recommendations that are sure to be our new favorites — the Harissa olive oil and the Blackberry Ginger Balsamic — and also introduced us to the newly released flavors.
We ended up choosing four bottles and Ali made sure to specially package the ones we were gifting. We will have to come back soon for other flavors as soon as we have more pantry space.
Overall it was a great experience but mostly because of Ali’s amazing customer service!!!

Hooray! I’m a former gourmet cook and my husband had only had imitation aged balsamic goop before so I bought him a very expensive bottle of balsamic that was a revelation to him. Apparently, it was to other people also because the site ran out and hasn’t had any since.
How wonderful to find something just as good here, in quantity and much less expensive! The shop is a great deal of fun (all the samples) with many yummy, local products for great gifts and the service cannot be improved upon; if you want to sample flavors as well as Chico friendliness, come here.

Great Products! Super Courteous Service! Had fun visiting with staff at the Palm Desert Store today. Love that you can taste test all their varieties of Balsamic Vinegars & Olive Oils. Offering several sizes of bottles and price points, including a perfect «sample size» bottle for $ 5 (60ml). Very knowledgeable Staff offered multiple uses for each specific vinegar/​oil. I loved my first «sample size» of Cinnamon Pear Balsamic on Asparagus and fresh Green Beans, or Chicken & so much more… ran out, so this time I was confident to purchase their largest bottle for $ 18 (375ml). My fav Balsamics so far: Cinnamon Pear, Black Cherry, Espresso, & Raspberry… Just purchased their Tuscan Herb Olive Oil, Sweet & Sour Mustard… can’t wait to try them! Now I wish I bought their Black Truffle Salt. Glad I can order online, but Please open a store in Orange County CA! Thanx for the lovely visit…

Amazing!!! We had such a fun time in here. We got to sample everything and the gentleman that was working was so wonderful! He put together all kinds of mixtures that we wouldn’t even have thought of. Excited to order on line for Xmas! Highly recommend

Olive A’Sudden in downtown Palm Springs (on Tahquitz between Indian and Palm Canyon) offers a stunning and vast variety of balsamic vinegars, olive oils, and specialty oils, touching on every infusion flavor you can think of. The storefront is a tasting room and visitors are allowed to pluck a small cup and taste all the fares for free. The Dark Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar was so delicious, I nearly bought a bottle to drink on its own. Don’t judge.
Specialty Oils include White Truffle, Roasted Walnut, Dark Toasted Sesame, and Roasted Almond.
At $ 12/​bottle for a specialty item such as this, every gourmet lover and chef needs a bottle in their kitchen. It makes a great gift!

We’ve now been to both the Palm Springs and the Palm Desert stores — and we love it! It’s great to be able to taste everything in the store, try the different oils and balsamics together, and chat with the with knowledgeable staff.
We bought some great stuff, and we’ll be back!

Great selections and interesting flavors! The staff even showed us how to combine flavors to make even more amazing tastes! Of course, I didn’t like every single flavor I found but the ones I did like, I liked so much, I had to buy them! I am not an oil and vinegar expert but I completely trusted the staff’s advice because of their endless knowledge and willingness to help.

We found this place accidentally and so glad we did!
We were greeted by Garry who was amazing! He was knowledgeable and very helpful. He offered us many combinations that were delicious!
They have every type of Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar (white and red). They have small and large bottles. They also carry the best truffle oils. I ended up purchasing variety of bottles.
Will be back when I need more of the oils and vinegars. This was an amazing find!

Absolute BEST customer service! After a mix-​up with an order placed before Christmas, Olive A Sudden went out of their way to ensure I received my order. They even added an extra item for the inconvenience. Wonderful products and quality customer care!

Found this place through a friend who recommended it. the assortment of olive oils and balsamic vinegars are just outstanding. they offer you the ability to sample both oils and vinegars. they sell individual bottled and gift boxes with four smaller bottles of which they do requests for particular selections in the gift boxes. the staff is very helpful and friendly. great place.

I have been looking for a gourmet olive oil and balsamic vinegar specialty store in the desert. Happy to find this new place centrally located on Hwy 111. I had a nice talk with the owner and the manager and was offered a sample of any and all the products. I bought the traditional balsamic and cinnamon/​pear. They have 3 different sizes and fabulous flavors.
I found the prices competitive with another store in the LA area — in fact a bit lower.
