Century Palm Springs

Do yourself a favor and stay here. I have been 5 or 6 times. Super cool owners. It’s modern, clean, hip, and the perfect getaway. Great views. Perfect to get away but still be close to all the nightlife.

Stayed at the Century Guesthouse for one night last week. The owners, Jimmy and Lou were wonderful and made use feel welcomed.
The Century was very clean and decorated beautifully. The grounds were beautiful with a pool and a large jacuzzi.
The rooms were a nice size, updated and comfortable.
Definitely a good choice and one of the better places to stay in Palm Springs.

Nice décor. Well done. Nice atmosphere and location. Can be a bit busy and raucous but more for fun then ambience. Nice amenities. Close to downtown. Bit off the main roads etc.

The owners here are amazing! Jimmy does a great job making everyone feel welcome. If you are ever in the area and looking for a place to stay, you have found your destination! You will not be disappointed.

Just returned from a stay at Century. Always a bit of a tough transition to real life after a vacation, but it’s even harder after Palm Springs at the Century! Great grounds, owners/​staff, amenities and rooms. Palm Springs is noted for mid century modern architecture and staying here feels like the best of the era even down to every décor choice. Fun place, especially if you like «The Jetsons,» fun people and fun relaxation!

What a delight! Lou is warn and wonderful and the accommodations and service was top par. We received a welcome email from the owner Lou about 2 weeks before our visit. Then as our plane was landing another welcome email with gate code and room was cooled to a perfect 73 degrees. Happy hour everyday at 5pm, beautifully kit pool, planters and hit tub at night, nice towels, great beds, great housekeeping! We will be back!

After going through a stressful time at work me and my bestie decided we needed a getaway! From the moment we walked in, this resort was inviting and completely put us at ease. The staff was friendly and I loved the personal touch of them always remembering our names. The atmosphere was so relaxing it felt as if we had known the employees for years. It was like all my stress had instantly melted away!
The entire resort and the rooms were very clean and modern. Also who doesn’t love a continental breakfast and daily happy hour!
I honestly can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

PAPER THIN WALLS. While not as pricey or posh as some other hotels in the Warm Sands area, it was clean and handsomely decorated. The new owner of this hotel was affable, but lacked the skills, knowledge and resources to effectively manage this small hotel. In addition to snafus with our room, we were overcharged (though later refunded after we pointed out the mistake).
Far worse, however, is that the walls in this older structure are so thin that we were awakened at 3am by the noises of the guy banging his trick in the neighboring room. The following morning we were awakened at 6am by the sounds of the TV in the room adjoining the other side (we could clearly make out dialogue).
If you’re looking for a relaxing, restful getaway then I would not recommend this place.

The BF and I stayed here based on a recommendation of a friend for White Party weekend. We usually stay at one of the big places in town (Hard Rock, Riveria, or The Parker) but figured we should try something different — and we are THRILLED that we did.
The rooms at the Century are small but we never felt cramped, (and we brought a TON of stuff with us since we drove). Everything was spotless, stylish, and comfortable. The spa was hot, the pool was pleasant, and the ambiance was very relaxing.
The staff really makes the experience amazing. By the end of our 3-​night trip we felt like family; coffee and breakfast by the pool in the morning, cocktails in the evening, and everyone knew our names. The other guests seemed to be enjoying their stay as well and were very social; it’s the kind of place where everyone smiles and greets each other. We can’t wait to come back.

My friend and I stayed here this past weekend for Coachella, and my friend is a female. I reviewed the website before arriving and realized it was listed as «A Gay Men’s Resort» and didn’t think anything of it. I am a homosexual male and my friend isn’t, which I didn’t know was going to be an issue.
I arrive and check in while my friend is unloading bags from the car,
the man at the front desk was nice and asked if my friend was aware of what type of resort it was, and I said she did.
He gave me my room keys and all was well.
Not too long after settling in the room we get a knock on our door from the owner of the resort. He told me that he would have NEVER accepted my reservation if he knew a female was staying with me, and then proceeded to tell me why. He ended with «I’m not going to kick you guys out, but just know that this isn’t ok.»
Not only am I offended, but I’m also extremely surprised to hear a grown man basically tell me that girls were not allowed.
It’s 2015 and it is insane to me that an establishment can enforce a «no girls allowed» rule. I find this to be extremely backwards.
I chose to stay at this resort because it was visually charming and I thought it would be a nice place for my friend and I to stay during our festival weekend.
It’s a beautiful property, I just wish our experience matched.

My husband and I needed a weekend away for a change of pace. We picked Palm Springs and I was surprised he chose a gay bed and breakfast. Don’t get me wrong we are a gay couple it just seemed out of the ordinary for him to do that. I asked why he chose Century. He said the reviews were good for a romantic gay getaway. To our surprise that is exactly what we found at the Century. It was clean and comfortable and inviting. I have back issues and found the hot tub relaxing and the bed very comfortable. My husband is a light sleeper and we were near the pool and the entrance and the noise level was low. Did I mention the fantastic staff? All the staff were very friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We met the owners over breakfast and they were wonderful as well. We definitely want to go back and experience the Century again. Several of the guest we met were regulars and shared some of their traveling stories while sitting around the pool area. They had the same great reviews of the place that we did. It just furthered our experience at Century knowing the guest were as loyal to the Century as the Century is to the guest.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Century this past January. Since this was only my second trip to Palm Springs and his first we did a little research on gay guest houses and found very positive review on Century. Now after staying at Century, I need to leave some positive feedback of my own. First off, I will say in terms of guesthouses this place is outstanding! From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. From the breakfast every morning to drinks in the evening, they even brought us Popsicles one hot day at the pool. I cannot say enough about how welcomed we felt. The place is also in amazing condition. Little touches like monogrammed sheets, substantial snacks, and mid-​century furniture make the entire place homey, welcoming, and fun. The pool area is fantastic too. Great views of the mountains, perfect temperature pool and hot tub, and the patio area is very well done with seating areas and perfect landscaping. Lou and Jimmy did such a great job making the place comfortable and cute. Finally, the people we met while staying at Century made the experience even better. The first night we were there the staff made sure we were introduced to other guys during the happy hour, they even remembered things about us when they introduced us. It was great.
I thought twice about writing this review since Century is only nine rooms and I want to secure my next stay but that’s just not fair. If you are thinking about going to Palm Springs look no further than Century. Seriously, why aren’t you booking now? You will love Century.

Booked my husband and I via email, then they called and canceled my reservation due to the whole place being booked by another party a few weeks later. I had to ask for a credit card refund a few days later. They offered putting us up next door, then moving us over to their location later in the stay. I refused.

Exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. The rooms, pool, and all other guest areas were well kept and very clean. The beds were extra comfortable and the rooms were well appointed. The owners go out of there way to make sure everyone is comfortable. We can’t wait to visit again.

Wow! I’m not a huge fan of the desert but needed a break from LA and scored by staying at Century PS. Now I’ll be coming back just to be at this beautiful hotel and am already thinking about when I can come back next! To say that this place is amazing would be an understatement because everything about it is top notch. The owners are really kind, incredible hosts and make it their mission to take care of their guests from bringing complimentary pressed coffee in the morning to cocktails at night. The décor is wonderful, the rooms are super comfortable and they even have Shorty’s toiletries! I brought my pups and can honestly say that they are having a fantastic time too. I’m now a huge fan and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else! Century PS rocks!!!

Admittedly, the last time we stayed at Century was a couple of Christmases ago, when it was under different ownership. It’s a great property — clean, well maintained, conveniently located. We were thrilled to hear it was re-​opened, and tried to make a reservation, but no online booking, and no returned call from the current owners. Sigh.

We had met the owners Lou and Jimmy a couple years prior to their acquiring the B&B and wanted to support the effort of these gentlemen. I can proudlly and pleasantly report this place hits all the marks. Stylish, comfortable, friendly, the best view of the mountains with a fresh, sleek modern décor, nutritious bfast AND the hosts serve the best cocktails round the firepit a guy could ask for — bravo boys!
PS — we stayed here twice in one month — a wonderful respite from busy Modernism Week. Can’t wait to spend time here and with them soon.

Came here with the bf for the b’day and this was the PERFECT place for a little weekend getaway…
Now, I will say, it’s got more of a romantic vibe to it… so, you might wanna come with somebody special OR with a group of friends could be fun too…
The modern appointments in the rooms make for a comfortable look and feel to the space and the attention to detail is very nice. And with just a hand full of rooms, the place is reeeeally cozy. We were welcomed to the room with a personal note from the owner with our names on it which made for a really sweet welcome to the resort, not to mention all of the complimentary goodies that come with the stay…
Complimentary cocktail hour by the pool, complimentary breakfast, complimentary beverages in the room and a few other complimentary goodies inside the rooms for when you are feeling a little…“spirited” (wink wink)…you have to go there to find out what I’m talking about.
For my first time in Palm Springs, this was the perfect place to celebrate another year of life…
Definitely going back.

I had no idea what to expect when heading to PS to join my buddies for a Bday weekend, but I pulled up to the Century and was very pleased.
The grounds are clean and modern, with pool spa and multiple sitting areas. The rooms are perfect for a weekend getaway, nice bedding and refrigerators in each room.
The location to the Downtown PS area is about a mile which makes for an easy run for Starbucks or a quick cab to dinner.
The best part was how accommodating the staff was, very friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast every morning which was a very nice touch.
Perfect for groups looking to get away for the weekend.
