The Hacienda At Warm Sands

Peaceful poolside rooms with every amenity including helpful attentive staff. A real departure from other «resorts» in the area. Highly recommended.

I’ve been visiting Palm Springs for over 20 years. I’ve stayed at many resorts around town including some in Warm Sands and others just outside downtown. The Hacienda is a gem. Tom, Paul and Steve all made me feel very welcomed. The room was spacious and spotless; I stayed in a deluxe suite. The continental breakfast and lunches were tasty. The pool and hot tub are clean and comfortable.
If it’s comfort you seek in Warm Sands, book at the Hacienda.

This place is gorgeous. I am currently staying in Junior Suite 8 and it’s a beautiful room with an awesome bathroom and shower — seating area — great bed — great lamps — great décor — a private patio and coffee machine, and kitchenette. They provide breakfast and lunch and they make you feel very welcome upon first arrival. And to the reviewer Jimmy T — BOO HOO. All hotels have policies around holidays and special times of the year and thankfully there were no whiny people here while I am enjoying this very relaxing place. I am happy that it’s not a cruisy place and one can really relax here without all that overwhelmingly distracting energy. You can easily go out for that if you so desire and return to this place. This will be the place I stay whenever I am in Palm Springs.

My partner and I have tried several nearby resorts and the Hacienda really stands out. The grounds are inviting and relaxing. The deluxe suites are large enough to live in permanently. The staff is fabulous. Their attention to detail constantly amazes me. Returning guests are likely to find that their preferences are remembered. Like perfect hosts, they anticipate my needs and provide for them often before I ask. The other guests are charming. Many are from far away, making for an eclectic group of gay men.

As a Palm Springs local I always recommend this special hotel to out-​of-​town friends and they all rave about it. The grounds are lush and beautiful and they have a wide range of sizes of amazing suites. The staff is great and provide 5 star service.
And when was the last time a hotel offered you a «pillow menu» to suit your specific needs?
Take it from a local, this is the place you want to stay.

This is the place to stay in Palm Springs when you want to splurge and pamper yourself. You get concierge level service, beautifully appointed, modern rooms, and a wonderful common area and pool.
I’m sure people get lucky here, but this is not a sleazy, bath-​house variety resort. Perfect for couples.

We have been staying at The Hacienda for many years and always look forward to our visits. The owners and staff are fantastic!

I drove over from Tucson, Arizona at first and spent three wonderful nights at the Hacienda, just relaxing and enjoying the pampered, luxurious ambiance. Then, could not wait to go back again, a month later. The next time it was for four equally wonderful days and nights. I had one of the larger suites with separate dining, sitting, sleeping and bath areas. The small kitchen is perfect for me because I like to sit by the pool in the evening and eat a light meal rather than go out to a restaurant. At the Hacienda, that is a perfect match. Some places do not have in-​suite refrigerator nor a small kitchen area for preparation of small meals, so they are off my radar. The housekeeping at Hacienda is perfect with attention to every detail. And the bath and body products by L’Occitane are a perfect high-​end luxury additional touch. Breakfast variety is perfect and where else can you find a complementary lunch included?!
I enjoy the desert drive over from Tucson and I’ve been there three times this summer, the last time being for four nights. I had the handicap accessible junior suite (#8). I loved it! It has a larger bathroom and shower arrangement for the ADA requirements and so it makes a wonderful value for the Junior suite rate. As always, the place was immaculate and perfect attention to every detail. I cannot say enough good stuff about the linens, amenities, furnishings and personal attention.
One morning as I was relaxing in the spa to smooth out the wrinkles of a peaceful night’s sleep, one of the owners walked over with a tray of morning coffee, made just for me — I had not even asked for it. He just knew I liked coffee in the early morning and brought it over. Now, that is typical of the level of attention and pampering that you can expect at the Hacienda at Warm Sands.
I’m signed up for another four nights next month. I cannot wait to get there.
It just doesn’t get any better than the Hacienda at Warm Springs.
AN UPDATE …
Okay, so I’m hooked on this place. I made a fourth trip over to the Hacienda from Tucson in September just to squeeze in one more stay at this fabulous establishment before the holiday season drops on us. And, again, they got everything right. The attention to detail is impeccable and the care for their guests is perfect. Never in your face, but always at the ready if you need anything. Housekeeping continues to rival the best 5-​stars in the world.

Must underscore what the Unilocaler above said — best of the clothing optional resorts… clean, well-​managed, and absolute zero creep factor. They truly go out of their way to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one.
We stayed for just four nights and REALLY hated leaving.
Will definitely return.

There is no comparison… This is the best of the «clothing optional» resorts in PS! (and I’ve stayed at a few over the years) Amazing staff, beautiful rooms and grounds, super-​comfy beds, brkfast and a very tasty lunch included! Friendly without the creep factor that some of the other gay resorts have. Well worth the price!

I decided to do a last minute trip to Palm Springs, CA to burn off some vacation time. I was thinking of just staying at the Westin, but figured being alone, it might be nice to be at a gay resort where there might be other people to chat with. All of the staff were very friendly, and knowing I was alone, would go out of their way to introduce me to other guests, not that that doesn’t happen anyway when you’re laying by the pool.
The rooms are big, beautiful, with plasma screens and a huge dvd library of all kinds of titles. The owners also have plenty of recommendations when it comes to massage therapists, places to eat, where to get a hair cut, and they never steered me wrong.
If you’re looking for a place to relax, meet some new friends, and be close to everything, this is the place to be. The pricetag is high, but the rooms, location, and meals included (both breakfast and lunch) make it worth it.
