Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs

I can’t totally give them 5 stars. We didn’t stay long enough to enjoy everything. My boyfriend booked a surprise massage for me for our 3 year anniversary. It was heaven and so relaxing. They give you a wrist band to get into the pool. Any extra it’s $ 10.00. The pool was relaxing no to much going on and that’s the way I think it, We were able to get lounges by the pool and in a shaded area. Kudos to the bar tender, my margarita on the rocks was strong but so good! The waitress was great. The pool was clean and warm. BEST part, NO KIDS! The facilities are clean and the staff wonderful. The concierge at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. The ambiance was great, I wish we could have stayed the night but we were on our way to Havasu. This was just a pit stop for us since our friends were not going to be in Havasu til later. We talked about coming back for a weekend getaway and staying here. There’s all kind of quaint restaurants and shops.

I just stayed at Hardrock Palm Spring and was definitely not impressed. If this rating was on the service it would be 5 stars because all the employees went above and beyond to ensure a great stay! The facility however fell far below my expectations. We had two poolside rooms and after all the added taxes and resort fees they came to be about $ 350 per night. BOTH rooms had disgusting stains on the bedding which are in my pics. BOTH toilets had gross black marks on the seats. Im totally ok paying for a nice room, but that was not the case. The pool party was very fun, but the pool is very small for one of Palm Springs «biggest» pool parties. I would go back to the pool party but will definitely stay elsewhere next time. Thanks to all the employees for being great!

There are some serious disconnects here… the hotel is visually cool, but also seriously run down and not maintained. The wallpaper is peeling, the lamp doesn’t work, and they ran out of towels. Seriously? How does that happen?
Valet only, included in the resort fee. The pool is also included, but they make it really complicated to get in.
The air in the rooms is good, but they seem to have turned it off in hallways and common areas… Might be less noticeable in under 110 degree weather.
The valet and check in people were nice, but no one picked up my breakfast order, which I stupidly waited for, so now I get to go to my meeting hungry.
The mini bar in the room is stupidly expensive, and they warn you that if you touch anything, it auto-​charges you. Good to know!
Not one of their better properties, but if you keep expectations low, you’ll be fine.

This place is not very rock and roll. No smoking at all, anywhere, not even outside in your over priced balcony. And no outside alcohol. And after I sneaked in my alcohol, I went to get ice, but the ice machine was broken. To go to the pool you need a pass. So if you go to the pool with only your towel they make you go back up to your room and get your id, stand in line to get the pass. The hell with this place.

Was here over the weekend to celebrate my GF bday. Had a pretty good time. On arrival to our amplify Room we were met with a few issues. I’ve stayed at the Hard rock in San Diego countless times. And their suites are much better. I found out that the Palm springs Hard rock was franchised to someone who took over an existing hotel. Anyway, back to the room. it was missing some things it mentioned in the description, mini fridge and bar. the bathroom has no doors, no waste basket in the bathroom, living room or bedroom, just one in the bathroom. It had two tvs but no speakers at all. we had a small clock radio we could use to listen to music. Hardly adequate for, «The Hard Rock’ hotel which is know for what it is. Our rooms patio was facing a street, we had no rooms to the left or right. which means it would have been great to have some decent speakers in there.
We spoke to Front desk and maverick helped us, I explained what happened and if it was possible to switch rooms. After discussing with the GF we opted to stay, they brought us a roll away bed for a guest and fridge. They were amazingly hospitable after that. Maverick did a wonderful job and always had a smile on his face. Actually every single employee did.
We reserved a cabana at the pool for Saturday. The server was a little slow but we didn’t complain too much. What we did complain about was the First DJ! it was a mash up of late 90s, early-​mid 2000’s with a few hits. but over all he was bad. He wasn’t feeling the crowd at all. We could all see it. people in the pool were complaining it actually ruined the experience. But THANKFULLY they had a second Dj come on, Female. I think her name was Aliya or Ayla. She rocked! Too bad she didn’t start it out.
Security was great all around. nice people. but please for the love of god, Give your Pool security, White or Khaki uniforms! Its 100 Degrees outside. Why would you choose black. Bartenders at the bar where amazing people. Diane and a new tall guy. sorry, forgot your name. They are all stars.
Lastly, I have to give it up for the kitchen, or chef. The food was
. No joke. its was good. My favorite chicken Sandwich was from Hillstone restaurant groups, Houstons. But you now have my favorite. no joke. it had a great balance of all the flavors, sweet, savory, acidic, crunch. Calamari was great, The truffle mac and cheese also is out of this world. and the Gyro tacos. WOW! I will come back for the food!!!
I heard that corporate is taking over the Hotel from the franchisee, which is good. Hopefully they change the room amenities to better suit the Hardrock Name. cheers, Will be back for the food for sure. the actual hotel maybe. We’ll see.

Awesome stay at this cool hotel! The hotel is under new management, and it shows! The new GM «Karl» seems to be dedicated to providing a 5 star experience for their guests. A lot of upgrades going on, and if you haven’t stayed here in a while, you should.
Front desk staff was friendly, and Juan at the pool rocked it!
Room was clean and well appointed, Pool was clean and inviting.
We worked out at the gym in the mornings, and it is in perfect shape with good machines.
Used the spa and the treatments were top-​notch as well.
We will definitely be returning to the Hard Rock in Palm Springs.

Do not stay here! I went here for my bachelorette party on June 3 – 5 and was treated poorly the entire time! I wish I would of done more research. I just assumed that the Hard Rock would be the most fun for a bachelorette party… big mistake. It started the moment we pulled up to the hotel. The bell hop immediately started telling us everything we were not allowed to have. And that if we brought these items into the hotel, that they would not let us stay. So rude and unwelcoming. They told us that ice chests were not allowed. And no drinks were allowed. We had brought dips and other food that needed to stay cool so that was a bummer. (I will mention the ice machine problem later). So our next problem was when we went to the pool and tried to go to the pool bar. It was Friday evening at 6ish and the pool bar was closed! So that was upsetting since we were not allowed to bring our own drinks. So we ask where we could buy a drink since the pool bar is closed. They direct us to bar inside the hotel. So we go… Of course we are wearing bathing suits … Because we just came from the pool. They stop us and say we must have clothes on. Seriously?! It is 110 degrees out and we are hanging out at the pool! Then back in our room, we find that the hotel ice machine is broken… on our floor and all the rest of the floors! The next day our problem is back at the pool. The pool party finally starts getting fun on Saturday evening at 6pm. So of course they announce that this will be the final song from the DJ and that it is last call for alcohol at the bar. Terrible! It is the begging of summer and everyone is enjoying the DJ. Why would they stop playing music so early on a Saturday? Then we get a phone call to close our hotel doors softer. Seriously? Chill out. Then we get a bang at our hotel door. It is 4 security guards that tell us to quite down. At this time it was midnight on Saturday night and we were playing cards in our room. We could hear other people being loud down the hall but of course they come to us. More things that we are not allowed to do. The final problem was that I come to find a $ 255 charge on my credit card. I did not authorize this charge. I have called the Hard Rock 3 times and have yet to talk to anyone besides the operator. No one wants to explain why they charged this extra money to my card. The hotel room was paid in full months before we got there. I hate this hotel. After telling people my bad experience, I hear that the Riviera Palm Springs is amazing. Stay there! The Hard Rock hotel has so many regulations that you will of wished you went somewhere else.

Terrible. I think thats the one word i can use that is censored. It sad how we can get a noise complaint when were not even maiing any noise. It was embarrasing to get kicked out at 10:30pm and go searching for a different hotel. The GM didnt even come out to see and talk to us which just made it that much worse. He knew he was wrong and didnt come to us to with the issue. The rooms also smelled terrible plus the service was pure crap. It was sad to see a hotel like this be so unjustice and discriminating. I will never be comming back to this hotel. We spent over $ 1400.00 on a cabana and over $ 680.00 on the room for the weekend. It was a sad sight and honestly, i hope noone has to go through this ever. I wish i could do ZERO stars but unfortunetly i cant. DO NOT STAY HERE. WASTE OF MONEY

You can’t do anything here. No outside alcohol, can’t go in the lobby without a shirt, best at the pool closed early, no coolers, can’t go in the lobby without shoes. It’s a no fun zone. I mean it’s the Hard Rock only without fun.

Decent place for a getaway. A group of 12 friends decided to go to the Hard Rock Hotel pool for Memorial Day weekend. First impression when you walk in, it’s fresh. It was $ 20 fee to get access to the pool. We decided to get a cabana for the day and requirement was to spend $ 750 and we would have a nice comfy place to hang out with shade and next to the pool. DJ was ok, at first the music wasn’t the greatest but after a few drinks and the afternoon crowd started to come in the vibe completely changed. Pool was a good turn out, our second time here and I’m sure we will go a few more times.

Definitely would not stay here again, nope and nope. I would go to the pool, that was fun. But wow just a huge disconnect for me. From the time we got there to the time we left. Why would the inside bar be closed in the middle of the day on a holiday weekend.
I was not allowed to bring in an ice chest with water and snacks — that was annoying as I am on a special diet and didn’t have access to keep anything cold. The food at this place is just aweful too. I think we had the worst BLT that exists in the universe and everything else was not good at all. It was just annoying, this place annoyed me.
I did like the bed and our room was ground floor and faced the pool, we were up kind of late and didn’t get hassled so that was cool.
PS. I agree with the other low reviews too… they said a lot that i agree with.

My fiancé and I went to the spa there from a Groupon we had purchased. It gives you a 80min massage, a glass of champagne for two and two pool guest passes. It was a great couples massage and though it was still pricey with a discount it was totally worth it. Pool was fun too with good music, there was an event going on but we had fun. There was a bartender names Carlito and waitress named Trish that was really friendly and gave great customer service. We will definitely be back :)

It’s nothing like the website makes it out to be. The pool is very very small. I was disappointed with the room for sure. The location is the best thing about this hotel. It’s walking distance from everything which is great. We left a night early and they were nice enough to refund my money for the one night however on top of there 36 per day fee they also change an additional 50 per day for «incidentals» which was frustrating especially when our room was in such poor shape.

One night only. Great location in downtown Palm Springs. Easy walking to lots of stores and restaurants. Lots of kitschy rock music memorabilia as befits a Hard Rock. We had a 3^rd floor king room overlooking the pool and nice mountain views. The room was nicely appointed with a nice balcony. Good wifi. Valet parking included in the resort fee. Many channels on the TV. Staff was efficient and courteous. All in all a nice experience. I’d stay here again.

I didn’t have a good experience here, because I slipped in the bathtub while showering and broke my humerus. The hotel wasn’t really helpful on the night of the accident and no one properly filed my incident report as we later found out the report was missing. No one ever followed up on the accident so I had to later call again and again to get insurance information. Once I got the insurance information, no one from the hotel ever returned my calls again since the insurance adjuster represents «on behalf of the hotel». It was not a pleasant experience. The insurance adjuster’s attitude on this case was horrible, I never felt so humiliated for breaking my arm. I missed a week of work because of pain. I guess the hotel is used to accidents because I later found out at the ER that there are many accidents and injuries that occur at the hotel that come into the ER.
Unfortunately, the way my accident was handled was very unpleasant. The stinking part of this was they still charged us for our room for the night. The only people that were helpful were the valet attendants who rushed pulling our car out and gave us clear directions to the ER.
Anyways, if you choose to stay here, be safe! Don’t slip in the tub!

A bit janky for a hotel that’s only a few years old. It was run down and tired looking, like it was already needing a major overhaul and a deep clean.
I pulled up to the valet, and there was zero energy there. Curb appeal is so important at a resort, isn’t it? No big welcome, no high energy, no gold star service, no warm reception; just one overwhelmed guy.
Walking into the lobby, I was expecting something hip and energetic. Nope, not to be found. It was quiet, fine. But at the very least, be shiny and sparkly. Nope, it couldn’t even be that. Get some Windex in here, people!
The bar did nothing to appeal to me, so after checking in, I go up the dull elevator. The elevator door opens on my floor only to reveal duct tape on the floor. Black duct tape to hold something down. Hmm.
I’m less than impressed with my room. I’m not sure what it is about this place. It lacks vibrancy, and seems unkept.
Three things about my room annoyed me to no end. Two of the drawers in the bureau wouldn’t shut all the way. I happened to have blue tape, and taped the drawers shut. True fact.
The other was the loud bang I heard periodically throughout the night… every night for three nights. I never did learn what that sound was.
And last was the gigantic moth in my room that looked and sounded like a bat. It had me shrieking (somewhat comedically now that I think about it) every time it flew about the room.
There was so much anticipation about the construction of this resort a few years ago. As it turns out, it’s a giant goose egg.

This place rocks! Starting with the bad– there is an obnoxious sewer like smell throughout this beautiful clean modern classic hotel. Could have easily been 5 stars but that stench is not a good look.
It was our 10 year anniversary and they sent a comp bottle of champagne to our room. The room was great. We also did a couples massage at the Rock Spa that was to die for.

This is more on level of a Best Western or Holiday Inn (that might be too much credit) It was so bad I will never stay at another Hard Rock Hotel in my life, period. For starters, our check in was 4pm we show a lil before 5, room still not ready?! First time this happen to me at any motel/​hotel. Ok it was day after New Years, I’ll take drink at the bar and have a poorly mixed whiskey sour and wait an hour and half in the lobby with other pissed off patrons of the hotel.
After the hour wait we are lead to a room that looks like someone literally just left the room, including cocaine residue near the bathroom sink. I was confused because I wasn’t sure if it was «sex, drugs, rock n room» or just a extremely poor run hotel?
Anyway we are lead back to the front desk and notice people that checked in before us having the same issue with «no clean room»? We set another hour and half waiting for another «clean» room. We are assured during the wait we will be «comped“for this mishap. Only gave us a$ 100 bucks for exposing our daughters to Coke all over a bathroom, now that’s «hospitality».
The place is a shit hole, rooms aren’t even mediocre, food is ok, staff is horrible obviously (outside the valet guy). Not at all worth the money. Lobby was the highlight of the whole trip, at least they got that right! DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE. Also why is this place even open?

The staff was great and the hotel was nice for the most part. I don’t like that there is no self parking (valet only) and the price of $ 139 quickly jumped to about $ 200 with taxes and fees.
After we settled into our room and returned from dinner, we noticed the toilet handle and the side of the toilet had feces smeared on it. The next morning when we were checking out, we notified the front desk. We got comped a bottle of water. Not kidding. Unacceptable.

Hard Rock manager ROBERT harassed me. Walked on me in my room. Violated my privacy. I asked for extended check out. They said no. Still charged me. My neighbors were smoking in balcony and they charged me for smoking. Security verbally and physically threatened me. I’m disputing all charges and calling corporate. Manager acted in a racist manner. Hinted that he didn’t like the our skin color. I’m a professional man and have been at many hotels and never expected to be treated like this.
I’m contemplating right now to call police and file harassment charges. I took pictures of security. He was avoiding me but I still managed to snap some. I’m really shaken up and this whole situation was unwarranted. I’m also filing complaint with Priceline. All charges are being disrupted. I might file criminal and civil complaints.
