Went with my mom for lunch and got the orange peel chicken and string bean w/garlic sauce combos(we split them between us). It came with soup, rice, and an egg roll. There was so much food and it tasted great! The atmosphere was very calming and the service was good too! I will definitely be going back!

First time here & I gotta say we really enjoyed our meal. Great atmosphere along with good service. Not the cheapest of prices but wasn’t over priced either. Portions were large!!! We will definitely be back to cure our cravings!!!

I was very impressed with the Dragon Palace. The food was excellent and the customer service was perfect. I had their hot tea and ordered the house special fried rice, honey walnut shrimp and 3 flavor Kung pao. All 3 orders were deliscious. The Kung pao was especially great. They’re not skimpy on the meat either. Dim sum ftw. I tried the shrimp and chicken ones. The shrimp dumplings were my favorite. Best Chinese food place in Palmdale. Will return soon.

It’s nice to have a dimsum place in palmdale so I don’t have to drive to LA for it. Most of the food was good. Pork bun — great. Made me want more pork though Pork steamed bun– not bad with the sauce. Shumai — too firm . Some kind of shrimp gyoza — not bad with the sauce Wor wonton soup — wontons were not very tasty. Wrong wrapping for wontons

The food here is pretty good. It’s s little on the bland side for my taste but it’s by far the best Chinese food in the A.V.

The food is really good, AND they deliver! I haven’t been into their restaurant yet, because I work across the street and they bring the food to me, but I’m sure I’ll eventually make it over there.

This place just saved me the drive to downtown LA Chinatown. I have lived in the AV for 6 years and had never found a good Chinese place in the AV until now. WOW!!! I have ate Authentic food from over seas and this is on par. The food was fresh, lots of flavor, veggies were fresh and just great quality. I will never ever ever eat Chinese anywhere else. By the way the restaurant is very clean and well kept. The staff is real nice and attentive. Outstanding gem in Palmdale and the AV.

I have ordered from here twice and neither time was I disappointed. The food is fresh and tasty. I ordered my food to go, so I’m not sure about the service. However, when I’ve gone in, everyone was nice. I’ll be back!(In my Terminator voice)

People are missing out on this!!! It was my first time here and the atmosphere is really friendly and accommodating, the setting is very relaxing and quiet. As soon as you get seated you get complimentary wonton chips. Our order is also taken as soon as we we’re ready, we waited about 5 – 10 mins for our food to come out but that’s okay since everything was freshly cooked. We got the chicken fried rice, vegetable fried noodles, and the pecking duck; everything was so flavorful and cooked just right. I have to drive down to Chinatown for Chinese food like this but I guess I won’t have to anymore! Very happy about that.

Love this place! Me and my bf went here last night we got seated right away and our waiter was very kind and fast! They got our drinks and order right away and we’re very helpful. The prices for the food were really good and they give you good portions! My bf got one of the meals that was I believe 10 dollars which came with a soup, orange chicken, fried rice, and a few appetizers and it was really good! I got the pork buns, pork Shumai, and shrimp gow. Also very very good. Overall a very good experience I highly recommend this place! I would love to come back again.

There are very few good places to get real Chinese food but I am so happy to report that Dragon Palace has just earned a forever patron. The flavors are authentic and you can taste the quality in every dish. No detail is over looked. The rice is perfection, the soups are lovely and the meats are so perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place. Perfect for a large group or a romantic date.

I had to drive to Palmdale for work, got hungry and ended up in this beautiful restaurant that serves the worst, most salty, Chinese food I have ever eaten. I have eaten at hole in the wall Chinese restaurants with disgusting looking store fronts that had much better Chinese food than this place has. I ordered the kung pao three flavor delight… Andi was the complete opposite of delightful. It had so many fillers and was the saltiest kung pao sauce I’ve ever had. Absolutely, disgusting. I will avoid this restaurant in the future. Also, apparently, the three flavor kung pao does not qualify as a lunch special. So I paid for the entrée price. That’s fine, but it would’ve been nice to have the option to pick something else as opposed to just getting the entrée version without notice. I could have chosen something else.

Very good… waiter was very attentive… we had beef in spicy broth, orange chicken, lemon chicken, and veggie chow mein, stem rice and fried rice they allowed us to do half and half on the rice. all very delicious we all ate party of 5. came with free soup so good. They also give you these chips like the eggroll wraps with sweet and sour sauce omg amazing!!!

Okay so where do I start? The staff were very pleasant and professional. The restaurant was clean. The food… yikes! I love Chinese food and try different restaurants. This was the worst. The dim sum(mushroom onion buns) were bland and gooey. Every restaurant I have gone too that serves lemon chicken serves it as a pounded, breaded cutlet sliced with a lemon sauce(which was also on the picture on the menu). We received the breaded chicken pieces usually service with orange chicken or sweet and sour but with a lemon sauce. The next trippy part was that we only got one serving of rice for two people! Most places provide a decent amount of rice due to it being cheap! Plus the quality of the rice was a bit suspect. The tea: Every Chinese restaurant that I have been too serves Oolong loose leaf tea. This place provided green tea with two tea bags! Never seen that before. The food was not that great. Hopefully they will get a better chef. Again I am talking about Dragon Palace NOT Dragon Garden.

Up in the AV and was starving. Was thinking Thai food but then the boo said there was a good Chinese restaurant he heard about from work. He didn’t know the name of the place but knew how to get there. So why not Unilocal it. Lo and behold at the top of the list was Dragon Palace. So I told him the address and he verified that was indeed it. We arrived and there were only 2 other customers. I was thinking«uh-oh, hopefully Unilocal won’t fail me now.» We were seated at one of the booths and provided with menus. Soon a plate of crispy chips and a dark pink dipping sauce were served. Still skeptical but soon my hunger overcame my unease. They were actually good, so I finished he dang thing. Oops sorry boo. We started to order and was told that the dim sum items take 15 – 20 to cook, I said ok since I was really craving siomai and steamed in black bean sauce by now. Threw in an order of yang chow fried rice and shrimp and green beans. A minute later we were told that they sold out on the ribs. So I ordered the orange chicken instead. Soon the food started to arrive. The Yang Chow fried rice.?! Sooooo good. Lots of meat: Shrimp, chicken, barbecue pork. It’s a meal in itself. The Shrimp and green beans was a little salty but the beans still have a crunch to them, and did I say I was hungry? The best item we’ve ordered was the Orange chicken. The breading is super thin, just enough to give a crunchy coating to hold the sauce. You actually find Chunky pieces of white meat not just flour or breaking. Soooo yummy. Wasn’t a fan of the siomai. Maybe I’m just partial to this favorite siomai place of mine in DTLA. Two days later, I am craving them orange chicken. Maybe I’m just gonna make that drive to the AV just to get my fix.

My husband and I decided to try this place since there aren’t very many Chinese restaurants around. The service was disappointing and we had to share one measly bowl of rice between the two of us. I know this is Palmdale but the rice portion should have been bigger. We are also not used to having so many bell peppers and onions as fillers. I wanted shrimp in my food not so many fillers. Also for some reason we were snubbed as far as service was concerned. My husband is Chinese but for some reason we got totally ignored. It was a struggle just to get the check at the end. We are not going back to this restaurant. We’d much rather do take out from LA Chinese Express.

We decided to try it again the other day, and started with the appetizer Pu-Pu Platter. While we liked the Crab Rangoon(a small but tasty crab and cream-cheese filled fried wonton) and also enjoyed the chicken wings, the rest of it we’d pass on next time. Wanting to try a house specialty on the menu, we decided to splurge and go for the«House Special Lobster». This is a dish with which I’m very familiar, and I’ve had a lot better elsewhere. This dish needs to be brilliant given the amount of work it is to eat it and the market price of $ 45. Disappointing, don’t bother ordering it. We didn’t want to give up, so then we ordered another house specialty, the«French Style Shrimp». Now this definitely much better-tasting dish helped improve our mood. Beautifully flavored with an earthy and barely sweet sauce. Definitely recommend that! The rice didn’t seem that moist and fresh. If you don’t like the taste of your ice-water, tell them and and they’ll ensure it’s coming out of the correct spigot in the kitchen(makes a difference). Bottom line … Lunch specials are their«sweet spot» where they prepare very good food, and they are very reasonably priced. I’d definitely continue going there for lunch, but I’d pass on Dinner or higher-end foods.

Came in expecting good food and OK service based on Unilocal reviews; ended up getting excellent service and great food. I believe this might be the only dim sum place in town, which was a true motivator. I adore a good BBQ pork bun and have a superior memory from a favorite place in Seattle to compare each subsequent bun to. The one served here is light and fluffy with equal parts bread and filling(instead of killing you with bread), and this filling was savory and juicy with tender chunks of pork. Not sure if the previous Unilocaler who called them«way too sweet» has had this type of bun before? It’s typically very sweet in general, but I’d say this one registers at the bottom of the scale, way more toward savory. And I do prefer it that way, too. Our pork shumei was indeed filled with pork, a big juicy meatball in fact. Again, not sure why this would be a problem to someone who intentionally ordered PORK shumei. Fillers and extra cheap ingredients do not belong in this dumpling! ITWASGREAT, and at $ 2.50 a plate I will be eschewing some of my fave DTLA places for this one, no problem. The owner was incredibly nice, went to great lengths to look in her kitchen for my husband’s requested Ash pepper oil for his Kung Pao chicken. She chatted with us about how she uses ash peppercorns at home in her own cooking, and was delighted to put it in our meal, talking to her chef personally about it. It came out great — made the dish have that vibrate-your-tongue heat. My Peking style BBQ pork was crispy, tender and full of perfectly-cooked high fat flavor. Heavenly! Could only eat 3 pieces after my dim sum starter, but now they’re boxed in my fridge awaiting an even more delicious fate — being seared on our hot grill for lunch today! The only things that disappointed were the hot and sour soup(a bit bland with too small bits of tofu and meat inside) and the seemingly skipped-during-the-renovation bathroom, which was dingy and had stacked boxes inside. Doesn’t give a good impression of their priorities in other areas, but could just be awaiting its turn to get re-done. We’ll have to wait and see on that one. Definitely coming back for the dimsum. Nice owner, green staff, good quality ingredients.
