I recently tried this place for the first time. I’ve tried one of their seafood soups and it was really good. This place gets packed at dinner time so come a little early if you can. The only negative was that they brought all of our food except the soup. They gave our soup to the wrong table. Besides that it was a good experience. Also, they should play some sort of background music while people are dining to liven up the energy in the restaurant. Waiter was very friendly, prices are good, and portions are good. One soup is enough for 2 – 4 people, depending on how hungry you are. I would definitely go back.

I have ordered from Shandra Thai twice in the last month. Two weeks ago I ordered a meal for delivery for my fiancée and I, totaling $ 45 and some change. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes, I called and asked what the estimated time of arrival would be. At that time they told me «he should be there in a few minutes» so I said okay and was fine waiting. It was a weekend and I understand in Palmdale things work a little differently with the delivery options. At an hour and a half, my fiancée and I were extremely agitated. I called back and asked what is the policy for late deliveries, because an hour and a half was unacceptable. The man on the phone went back and forth with me saying«policies, what policies? We don’t have any policies for delivery.» — and assured me they were slammed and they usually take between 45 minutes to an hour and a half. I couldn’t believe this place gets away with 1.5hr delivery times on a regular basis, but again, I accepted what he said because I was done going back and forth on the phone waiting for the delivery man. Long story longer, I had to call back a third time and negotiate for a partial refund after we were only 15 minutes shy of the two hour mark. It was extremely annoying that the guy forced me to stay on the phone with him at that point to talk me through the refund process as he was doing it. He even text messaged me photos of the voided charge and the refund receipts. I just wanted my damn food. It was all extremely annoying and frustrating that I had to explain to them why it was unfair that they do not have a delivery policy in place for expected timing. I ended up ordering from them again tonight, because hey — the food was great! The portions were much smaller than expected, but the food was good. Of course, I decide to wait the full hour and a half because I felt prepared to do so without issue. I should have went and picked it up! When I called at an hour and forty-five minutes of wait time, they said they had come to my house, knocked on the door and waited but no one answered. Are you kidding me? When I asked why no one called to inform me the delivery driver had arrived, I was given the excuse that they did not have my phone number. This is complete bullshit, because I called three times just to get through, and had to hang up and call back after being put on hold for 5 minutes. I have also ordered delivery before so my name, address, and number should be in the system. So, no food after almost 2 hours. I ended up cursing at the girl on the phone and hanging up without trying to resolve it. Lord knows I didn’t want them to walk me through a 10 minute refund process over the phone while starving(#firstworldproblems) The food is good but the service is appalling. I will not be ordering from them again. It’s not good enough to simply go pick up. I’d rather order from a place who gives a damn. If your busy enough to have this many customer service issues — hire more people or better people. It’s unacceptable to not give a shit simply because you have many customers. At least be accountable when you mess up rather than blaming the customer. Happy for your success, annoyed at your lack of concern for the customers and business you can’t keep proper track of. Now my fiancée is hangry and we have to settle on pizza, because you know… Palmdale only has 3 delivery options on this side of town.

The service was quick and the food was great! One of the workers also called me before she submitted my order to make sure I still wanted delivery as it was going to take over 45 minutes to get there. Fortunately, it did not take that long, but her consideration was definitely impressive!

The food is always delicious! I love how they actually use fresh vegetables. I literally saw them cutting them up and putting them in my soup. I prefer this place over others out here in the AV. Their spicy seafood soup is delicious and only around $ 11. @ Thai café in Lancaster it’s $ 18 and no where near as good. Thanks guys!

Friendly service, a little slow due to lunch rush. No big deal. The Thai iced tea here is sooo good order the large! You won’t regret it. I personally like bobas so suggest adding those as well. Plus the have Halo halo here!!! Was looking forward to this dessert all meal and it didn’t disappoint. Got the Tom kha and the red curry. The curry was good, a little thicker sauce than my BF is used to when getting curry but he enjoyed the flavor. My Tom kha soup while good. I preferred the taste of the Tom kha at Jasmine Thai. Just my personal preference, I liked their veggies better and the soup has more of the spicy sour tang I enjoy. There’s an awesome little shop next door full of wonderful goodies. Always enjoy stocking up on my Filipino fixes.

I get policies are policies but this is just absurd. Placed an order for my office totaling approximately $ 90 if not more, but due to being 0.8 miles out of their delivery radius, they would not deliver.

Food was good. I prefer jasmine Thai but they are very similar in food quality and taste and you can buy beer here and wine. Feels a little more like home than jasmine Thai as well. 4 stars. Give it a try. Foods fresh from the market next door.

I’m sooooooo sorry to give just one, I usually don’t but here’s why… The first time we ate here was sooooo good! The staff are friendly and the price was fair, so we decided to go back again… big mistake! I order the Pad Thai combination, my husband orders the fried fish. A few mins later the waitress comes back and says«the only fish we have are big and cost a lot, do you want it?» Me with wide eyes«what does cost a lot mean? $ 1,000?» She says«no, $ 24.99» I was offended, my husband didn’t think anything of it and said«yes, of course, I’ll take it». So our food get’s there, the Pad Thai was sooooo nasty, I couldn’t eat it! mind you, I ordered the same thing I had the previous time, not the same chef or something was rotten. So my husbands continues to eat his«expensive» fried fish. As I sit there waiting on him, my 11 year old gets up moves a chair and steps on a roach! eewwwwwww!!! I mean granted it wasn’t a little house roach, it was the big, hard shell outside roach type, it still make me look at my husband and tell him, i would wait for him in the car.

This place is BOMB. I’ve eaten at a ton of Thai restaurants in California and this is #1. I wish I lived closer because I’d definitely be a regular. I had Pad Thai with Shrimp and I ordered it pretty spicy. For some reason other places can never get the amount of spice right, it’s never spicy enough. This place was spot on and it tasted amazing! Please stop in and try this place out! Everything is fresh and the service is outstanding!

You guys… you really have to go to Shandra’s. OMGoodness!!! I love this place. Everything we’ve gotten from here is great. Generous portions and good pricing. Not a ton of seating, but I’ve never had to wait. I’ve called in quite a few orders as well and it’s ready for pick-up in 15 minutes! I know this may sound funny, but they have really good water. I don’t know if it’s bottled or just a really great filter. But the water tastes so good.

Exceptional price points however the food is good. Regarding to the store linked to the restaurant is a genius idea. I loved the selection the tiny market carries. Tons of options and friendly staff. Back to the real reason why I’m writing this review. The cashier greeted us from the counter as soon as we walked in «shouting like a cave woman.» Very friendly and when I asked her about the selection on the menu very knowledgable. I ordered. Black Pepper Shrimp Dinner; it seemed like a great idea. I know I may be specific when I order but the quality of the food is good. I will know how to ask them to prepare it for my next visit. I recommend this restaurant. Cheers!

So I went here for lunch with a friend. I wasn’t sure what to get cause I really like thai food but I wanted to try something different. I heard alot about this restaurant. My friend ordered the duck soup so I followed and ordered it too… very flavorful. It had big chunks of duck in it and the noodles were good. I would definitely come back and I recommend coming here. Not to mention our ord r came out fast and it was hot. Nice ambience. Laid back casual. They had country music videos playing.

Shandra Express has been on my To Try list for quite awhile now and I finally made it for lunch. What I noticed when I entered was that although fairly typical in size for a Thai restaurant it was better decorated than many others with the upper portion of the walls painted a light green and the lower portion done in slightly darker green striped wallpaper. The walls are topped with crown molding and the north wall has several carved Thai artworks on it. I took a seat next to the front window and a menu was brought to me. The menu is sizable but I finally settled on the Combo#1: Teriyaki Chicken with Vegetables over Rice(you can also choose beef if you prefer), I also ordered a Thai Tea. As I waited I noticed that there is passage to the market next door and in this passage there is a booth which might be a nice place to sit if you wanted a little privacy while eating. My order arrived, the food was piled on the plate making this a good value. The chicken was hot and tender, the vegetables were crisp and tasty. The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick and friendly.

Passing through this town and wanting some rice, rice baby… aka, «Asian food». We came across this joint. We ordered the yellow chicken curry and the the classic Thai BBQ chicken served with fried rice. They brought out our rice about 8 mins before bringing out our curry?! The curry was seriously watery. It was more like soup than an expected thicker broth associated with curries. We ate it and it was okay. The BBQ Chicken was presented well. The flavors were amazing but the chicken was sorta tough. Not really an over cooked kinda tough but more like a sitting outside, reheated, dry kinda tough. It was not as bad as I’m writing here but I just dont know how else to explain the texture. Check out the picture, you can see what I mean. Maybe it’s a Thai preparation I’m not familiar with. Overall, the chicken was good and the rice was great. If I’m ever in this town again, I would come back.
