Aveda Experience Center

Terrible customer service. Very conceding, and sarcastic manager. Overall, the staff is great, however, the manager makes going to this Aveda location a chore rather than a great Aveda experience.

Today I went into Aveda for a free consultation facial. The woman who was working here (blonde) was extremely nice, I wish I could remember her name. She tried out different products with me after we talked for a good amount of time about my skin, and the problems I have been having. Each product she used on me felt cooling and smelled great that it was extremely relaxing. Afterward she did my makeup and gave me tips about things I do with my skin. Afterward we talked a little bit about hair, and she gave me a free sample even though I had come there for skin care. This store is relaxing, smells great, and has great customer service. Not only that but their products work wonders.

I went here today and the lady I had was extremely nice and welcoming. She answered my questions and provided me with two serums for my dry, limp hair, and samples for dry hair. Which I’ve tried today, and has worked so much better than what I’ve been using. My hair feels much better and more moisturize, there is also more added volume. She also gave me advice for my hair. This is my new go to store for my hair, I don’t think I’m going back to the beauty supply shop and going to drug stores. However, it is pricey especially the two small bottles of serums totaling 52 bucks, but it’s worth it.

This intimate Aveda store is a bit hidden along one of the quieter walkways at Stanford Shopping Center. (It’s currently facing the major renovation going on next to the brand new Bloomingdale’s.) Luckily, I discovered this little gem during their Wellness Event, where you could set up an appointment for a complimentary mini facial, neck & shoulder ritual, and makeup touch-​up. That all sounded divine, so I signed up!
When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and offered a sample cup of tea (one of the best teas ever by the way!). Zaheda spent the next hour or so giving me my mini facial, and talking to me about the products she was using on me and why. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the Aveda products, she’s also very friendly and personable. It literally felt like we were old friends chatting it up! I had such a great experience, and even walked away with some samples to take home. I wanted to try a few things before buying the full sizes, and Zaheda was happy to give me some samples. I did end up purchasing an eye cream, and a fabulous I-didn’t-know-I-needed-it-but-I-do lip gloss, but I appreciated the fact that I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything.
Most of Aveda’s packaging materials are recycled materials, and the products themselves are all plant-​based, so you can’t help but feel good when supporting this company and using their products! I even overheard the other sales associate tell a customer who was buying a Valentine’s Day gift for his S.O. that the paper gift box/​wrapping was handmade in Nepal, and it supports its indigenous families and the environment. This Aveda is just feel-​good all around!

Best Aveda store I have ever been to!!! Came to get my hand cream and saw one of the staff (forgot her name, she had long, black/​brown curly hair) teaching a woman how to use hair products and decided to stay and ask her for her suggestion. She’s very professional and gave us great suggestions. Also got free hair styling and learned how to use a lot of their products! Turns out some store taught me the wrong way of using some products!!! Too bad I already have everything she recommended at home so I didn’t buy anything. Will definitely come back and highly recommend this store to anyone who loves aveda (or wants to experience their products)!!!

While exploring the Stanford Shopping Center, I came across this Aveda store and decided to browse around a bit. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and as is the Aveda ritual, they offered me some of their famous tea. I then noticed they were offering complimentary stress relieving rituals, so I opted for the neck and shoulder massage (roughly translated in Dana-​speak as «5 minutes of bliss») and left feeling calm and relaxed. The girls at the shop were so nice to chat with, as I mentioned I had experience with Aveda products (the cosmetology school I attended used their product and color line exclusively) and was always interested in checking out Aveda stores in other parts of the country. If I’m ever at Stanford Mall and am in need of an Aveda fix (the aroma is so addictive!), I know where to go and so will you!

My friends & I treated ourselves to a spa night & it was fabulous! Liz & Ramak treated us each to a facial, hand scrub & light massage, hair & makeup tips and a personalized scent. They were both very warm & friendly and made the whole experience delightful. They made product recommendations but I never felt like they were trying to pitch or sell us. I also love that their products are all natural and will definitely go back for more.

This new shop is the best kept Aveda store secret.
It’s lovely, new and intimate. Because it’s new, it’s pretty slow, so the staff can really take their time with you. The staff I worked with there was experienced, kind, very pampering (she gave me a *few* hand massages to try out different fragrances!) and put absolutely no buying pressure on me. It was so lovely!
The fragrances and products are excellent, if pricey. But you pay for this natural high-​end hair and body care line. The plus side is that they are genuinely excellent products and they make you feel great doing it.
I also like that it’s located right by the east entrance to the walking mall. Makes it easy to park and make a quick stop.
