Mira is a gem — one of the best estheticians I have ever seen. And I’m very picky. I lived in NY for 10 years, saw the best dermatologists and facialists in the city, and didn’t think I’d find anything close when I moved here. Not so.
I’ve been seeing Mira consistently for over a year now. My skin has never looked better than when in her hands. Sometimes I get breakouts, and I know my skin so well that when a bigger deeper pimple arrives, I know it will take about 2 weeks for it to clear. The first time I went to Mira, I asked her not to touch my pimple, because most estheticians make it worse. She ignored me, went to town on it, and I was amazed — she extracted it skillfully, showed me its odd-​looking remains on her finger, and explained it was comedone. Fast forward to the next day and my skin is completely flat, calm, and clear. I was amazed.
Over time, Mira has gotten to know my skin, and has recommended brightening facials, products, and then accelerated my skin to needling (which helps stimulate collagen) and I’ve been pleased with the results every time.
Mira is the first esthetician who has inspired me to book monthly visits to take care of my skin. She’s that good. She will customize your treatments to your skin, and get to know your skin. She’s also a lovely person and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her and chatting with her about our lives.
I call her a Mira-​cle worker. :). I have recommended friends to her and they rave about her, too. I highly recommend her!

Double booked and double charged. Good thing Zara dos a great job and all there front office issues were resolved satisfactorily.

This is a really lovely spa. It is relaxing to sit in the sitting room and sip tea prior to the massage. The masseuse gave a really great massage.

Five stars for: (1) Facials from Anya; (2) the products; and (3) the overall client experience.
I am not a spa and facial kinda lady. First, I think it can be an expensive habit, and second, I was blessed with really good skin and I take good care of it. But I got a gift certificate for a facial and after working with expert Anya, using the products, and enjoying the experience, I now will go quarterly as part of my self-​care regimen.
As I mentioned I already have nice skin. And I hate being upsold on products I don’t need. Anya made the facial so enjoyable, knew SO much about skin and products, and gently suggested certain products, with no pressure, and gave plenty of samples. My skin looked amazing afterwards.
And, after trying the samples, I readily switched over all my skin care products. They are expensive, but the quality is higher, and so concentrated that they last longer. So, it’s a better value.
Also, the front desk staff are friendly, welcoming, professional, and easy to deal with. The pre-​treatment experience where you are guided to get your robe and soak your feet keep the tone relaxed and unrushed.

I had a blow-​out with Brandy and she was fabulous. She completely understood my thick wavy hair and created a smooth, sophisticated blow out. I received so many compliments that evening, I had to write a review. I have been to Dry Bar more than 20 times and while the service can be great, it is inconsistent. Also, the atmosphere at La Belle is much relaxing and enjoyable. Brandy delivers the best blow dry by far and is a seasoned professional.
My 21 year old went with me. She had an appointment with Annisa for a blow out. My niece was very skeptical because she has had 3 blow outs (London, LA and SF) and none of them met her expectations. She was beyond thrilled with Annisa and spent ½ hour posting pictures of her «dream hair» styled by Annisa at La Belle.
If you want amazing hair for the next event or simply to feel better, book an appointment at la Belle. You will not be disappointed.

Just had a manicure and pedicure with Jessica and Ashley, and I couldn’t be happier. Jessica gave a great massage, and Ashley really takes her time with gel fills. My nails look clean, natural, and perfect!

I have come to rely on a regular massage performed by Donald. Donald always performs a great job of removing the knots and the tightness in my lower back and sciatica. Donald’s particular technique increases my range of motion and alleviates the overall stiffness of my back and legs.
In the past 3 years of Donald’s massage, I have observed a mean time of 7 weeks between re-​occurrence of stiffness. Therefore, I book an appointment every two months to guarantee the time and space with Donald at La Belle Town and Country.

I have gone to both Labelle locations over the years and much prefer the Town and Country location. About 6 months ago, I bought a facial deal for La Belle, during which time I decided to get the esthetician to wax my eyebrows. Christine, did a great job and now I am a regular customer. Though La Belle will always be more expensive that nail salons for waxing, Christine’s appointments are worth it. She is friendly and her work is very consistent — she takes pride in what she does. As a bonus, she also uses a wax that is much less painful than traditional wax.
I would recommend Christine at La Belle for both your facial and waxing needs!
4-​stars vs 5 stars is because on previous visits with La Belle, I have been strongly pressured to purchase products. The strong sales pitch always deterred me from services. Christine is 5-​star.

Ania is the best for any Facial!!! I’ve been really stressed lately which has caused me to break out more than ever before so I thought it was time to check out La Belle and get a facial. I was set up with Ania who was so kind yet very honest with me on how my skin was. She looked at my skin and determined which facial would be the best for me. She then walked me through the entire process and gave me tips and answered any of my questions. She also gave me advice on what to use for my acne and how to save money in the future. Immediately after, I saw improvements. I’ve been struggling with bumpy acne trapped under my skin for a few months now so finally finding a cure to my problem was such a relief! After the appointment, she came out of the back room with me to pick out certain products that would work best for my skin, even when she was very busy. It’s been 3 days since I’ve been in La Belle and my skin is consistently showing improvements. I would definitely recommend Ania to anyone looking to get a facial done!

Amber is the best for Botox!!! I’ve been noticing deep lines lately. Being an extremely busy, sleep deprived mom that does hair at the Stanford location … I’m in front of a mirror 10 hrs plus a day and could not stand the way I looked in the mirror anymore. So I figured why not. Everyone does it now. I was pretty nervous about looking surprised or any of the horror things you may see and hear from others. So Bella herself recommended that i see Amber and gosh I couldn’t be happier. Amber is a true artist and knows exactly where to place the injectable to open up all of your features and keep it looking natural as well! Zero bleeding and bruising. It was almost painless she was so gentle. She iced it before the injections and put a topical cream afterwards. I went right to work and no one noticed. The service itself took 30 mins so it was quick and painless. She listened to my concerned and gave me her expert advice and I gave her free range and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve already booked my next appt and can’t wait to see her again.
For manicures… Prebook because Chantal is simply perfection!!! My hands and toes are always on point!

At La Belle, I found the hair stylist of my dreams: Ramona Stelzer
For years, I have been looking for a great place to get my hair (highlights and cut) done and have not spared spending $$$ on various salons. Although some of them were above average like JUUT (on University Ave) and Legar Salon (on California Ave), yet all of them kept me searching. Then I met Ramona Stelzer at the La Belle Stanford Location… and my search came to a squeaking hold!
Ramona has been trained in Germany and possesses incredible skill and talent. Once, due to traveling, I was not able to see her for a whopping 8 weeks. The cut STILL worked, could be easily managed and did not look like a rag on my head! With other hairdressers from above mentioned salons, I always needed a new cut after 5 weeks tops!
I have great respect for her expertise, know-​how, customer service skills and for designing a hair cut I can manage on my own with very little product aid and effort! In the past, I would always leave a salon knowing that my hair would never look like it was just styled ever again. Ramona’s designs and cuts work in such a way that I DON“T need a ton of products and/​or time to look just the way the day she cut and styled my hair. This is a very comforting feeling to say the least.
Her coloring skills are unsurpassed as well. When I saw her for the 1^st time, I had arranged for my pervious salon to give her my formula. I was nervous since it took SOOOO long to get it right. Ramona graciously waved her hand and said she had already something in mind that should work well. I took a deep breath and let her get on with it. In the end her color choices worked wonders!
She is by far the best hairdresser I have ever come across in all of California! Thank you, Ramona, for helping me stay in style :)

This review is for Mira. A year ago, I had a facial with Mira and she questioned me about a small bump on my nose. It nagged at me for a couple months but then I went into the dermatologist. The doctor said it was nothing but I insisted she cut it off (because people have asked). The doctor called me a week later that I had basal cell carcinoma. I have since had MOHS surgery and all is well — thanks to Mira for finding it before anyone, including my doctor! Her facials are also fantastic by the way.

The service, the ambiance and the products are fantastic and worth every penny. Ania is a great esthetician who knows within minutes what my skin needs during that session. Not only is she a sweetheart, but she only recommends products you really need and doesn’t oversell. If you need a great facial, I highly recommend Ania.

The spa manicure and pedicure I had with Jessica at Town and Country was everything a regular customer of 10+ years would expect from LaBelle.
It started off with showing me to my relaxation station and offering me a beverage and a snack– cheese and crackers, cut fruit, and a cookie. It was delightful.
Jessica scrubbed and painted my hands and feet THEN she got to the massage. Instead of doing the full spa mani/​pedi separately, she combined the massage so that it felt continuous– hands then feet, feet then hands. Glorious!
My sister and I were both supposed to go together this past weekend but couldn’t because we both wanted Jessica.
5 stars for consistently superb service.

I get massages 4x a month so i can tell in the first 3minutes if the masseuse is good or not.
It’s my first time at La Belle Spa Palo Alto and i must say Suyen was surprisingly good! She knows what she’s doing for sure! I had bad experience getting massages at hotel spas and upscale spas because the masseuse are not the best but oh boy Suyen is an exception! She was firm but relaxing.
My facial with Ania was just ok.
I felt rushed and she was a little rough and not really relaxing.
There was no facial massage at all.
The front desk was just okay. They could use a smile on their faces. :) Looked like they hate their job or something.
A bit cold and not welcoming to think this is a $$$ spa! You’d think you deserve a better customer service.
The girl who shows you where the dressing room is and serves you tea, i think her name is Anna was great though.
She was friendly, smiles a lot and helpful.
It was obvious she likes her job.
Overall, the 3 stars are for the massage with Suyen and Anna.
Will i go back? maybe not.

This rating is simply relates to being unable to schedule an appointment. I tried to make one online and it told me I had to download a 101MB plugin in order to use their appointment service online. I did, and it still did not work.
I then telephoned, a machine answered, I followed the prompts, got silence and then it hung up on me.
Whatever happened to actual humans answering the phone?

Let me preface with, it was a 4 – 5 star experience for the year prior to my visit Saturday April 4^th.
The front desk staff and manager at the time I paid my bill are the reason it is not a 1 star review now. They were apologetic and comped a portion of my services — but the overall experience was unacceptable.
After a horrendous cut & color, and two weeks of unsatisfied results, I decided to post the e-​mail I sent to management at Town & Country. This is the reason I will not be back to La Belle, and why I would recommend all potential clients request a seasoned stylist.
The following email was never responded to by Town & Country:
«Yesterday I came in for a cut & color and had to wait. Not a big issue but it did set the tone for the entire appointment.
I have seen Prestine and Anasia (I apologize if I butchered both names!) and had a great experience with both. They are the reason I have been coming to La Belle for the last year. They helped me through my decision to cut off more than a foot of my hair and how to make it work — I have sneaky thick hair that falls heavily if not thinned out and cut correctly.
Yesterday I mentioned that I might want a deeper brown since it had faded so much after my color in January. The color I selected was not the black color I have now.
During my appointment my stylist proceeded to leave dye on my face. She was very aggressive with the color brushing and it would splash. She had applied a gel around my hairline initially but the coloring experience was worse than if I had done it myself. And I have had it colored twice at La Belle without experiencing anything similar to the Apprentice. The dye is still on my face and can sort of be covered by make-​up.
She mixed color but it was only enough for the my roots. So she mixed more. Then a third time. After she put the plastic hairnet over me and put me under the dome for 10 minutes, I waited an additional 10 minutes for her to return.
The wash was fine, a lot of product was used but it wasn’t out of the ordinary.
When the hair cut started I was anxious. I have an a-​line bob and just wanted the back trimmed (it’s been 5wks since my last cut, the longer length in the front was perfect beforehand). She started cutting everywhere and did not thin any portion, and now I have an issue with sections flipping out because of the harsh line. The cut was similar to the last time I went to super cuts, when I was 17, before I discovered the value of a salon (that the price does reflect the service — I’m almost 30 now). I considered asking her to stop but I also figured an apprentice had a mentor or someone she trained under and if this was not a cut she was familiar with, could ask. At one point she told me to stop moving so she could correct a section. Not really something someone wants to hear in a haircut…
During the blow out she was too gentle and my hair fell flat. She would use the round brush but would not brush out the sections … The opposite of what one would expect during a blow out. She asked me if my hair normally flipper under (as I requested) and I said yes, that’s how I style it every morning. She could not get it to flip and would blow small sections repeatedly while ignoring the crown and back of my head. I also asked for volume but just wanted it to be over when it hit 4:45.
Even when my hair was down my back, I have not experienced a 3.5 hour appointment. As I’m sure you know, you come to a salon for the salon experience. When I checked out yesterday evening I mentioned that I likely will not return and at this time, I feel the same way. It was overall an unenjoyable experience and I cannot wait for the color to fade and my hair to grow out or get fixed somewhere else. I typically put a lot of trust into my stylist (s) since this is their area of expertise. I hope that some additional training or insight can be provided so this doesn’t happen to another customer.»

I was here recently for a prenatal massage in my third trimester. I should have known better after my experience at the Stanford location. For a supposed «upscale» spa this chain is a total joke. I have never been to a «spa» with such horrid service and therapists aside from Massage Envy.
Never again. Oh and for the record, when you’re 7 months pregnant a face down on the table massage is just absolutely forbidden, even with the cushions.
Spend your money elsewhere!

I was referred to the salon by friends and I was not disappointed. I saw Ella Maria and she did a fantastic job. I am very picky about my hair and I have had two very bad experiences since I moved to this area last year. I have to say that she did a wonderful job, not only did she pleasantly put up with me but she completely fixed my hair! I left the salon feeling good about my hair, and that is no small feat!
I would absolutely recommend Ella Marie and LaBelle Day Spa and Salon.

I went to La Belle for the first time because I was leaving on a trip to Greece for 3 weeks, and wanted a manicure that would last. I was referred by a friend, so I trusted that my gel manicure would be great.
Instead the manicure was a disaster. It was bubbly, uneven, and chipping already, but since I had a flight to catch I left anyways. I did get a discount, but considering the fact that the manicure was horrible I didn’t feel I should have paid for a service that was not completed as promised. Once I left into the daylight I realized how terrible the manicure really was, and called back immediately to see if I could schedule a redo right away before my flight.
I accidentally called the Stanford Shopping Center location which turned out to be great luck, since they actually had a great manicurist on hand who completely re-​did my nails. However, I was shocked that the manager of Town & Country location wanted me to pay extra to have the nails redone. La Belle wasted 3 hours of my precious pre-​flight time, and wanted to charge me extra to fix what should have been done correctly in the first place.
Thanks to the politeness & understanding of the manager at Stanford Shopping Center I was able to get my nails redone without an extra fee. However, I was 2 hours late and almost missed my cab to the airport. I’m glad the situation was resolved, but I did not appreciate the somewhat hostile customer service at Town & Country or the lengthy process necessary to get a simple gel manicure done correctly.
At this point I would never refer anybody to La Belle & I would suggest people steer clear of the unnecessarily high prices without any guarantee of quality.
Bottom Line: Over priced, mediocre quality… if you want to go then go to Stanford Shopping Center location!
