This salon is amazing. I go to Lisa and have been going to her for many years. She has an amazing talent that makes my full thick hair look fabulous. She is wonderful to work with because I’m a tad hard because I never really know what I want but she helps me in a color and style. She knows what’s looks best on me and cut, especially if I like something that won’t look good, she will let me know and that is the greatest hairstylist in my opinion Go to Lisa. You won’t regret it :)

My husband & I came to Opus Arcade because we couldn’t imagine not staying with out incredible hairdresser — Lisa Estrala! Lisa is relatively new to Opus but as soon as we saw her there we realized what perfect fit it was for her and Opus. We have been going to Lisa for 4 years and she is constantly getting better, more sophisticated, edgier and just evolving talent. She is a wonderful colorist and an awesome stylist. Beyond all of that, she is just a genuine and special human being, the sort of person you always want to know. As you can tell, we love her and are so excited she is in a salon that truly reflects her style and personality!

I’ve been going to Rena for over 6 years now, I live in San Francisco now, but still make the drive to Palo Alto every few months to get my hair done by Rena because she’s the only person I trust to touch my hair. I’ve gone super short bob to asymmetrical, long layers, blonde, ombré, silver/​gray, balayage– Rena does it all. I love that I can come in with a vague idea of what I want, and she has the vision and skill to turn my hair into something even better than I could have imagined. I am constantly getting stopped by strangers on the street, in restaurants, wherever, to compliment my hair and ask me where I get it done, and I of course always have to gush about Rena because she’s seriously the best. I’ve followed her from Legar Salon over to Opus Arcade, and will continue to be a loyal client of hers. Rena genuinely loves her craft and is a true hair artist, and that shows in the work she does.

Shannon is an amazing hairdresser. I’ve tried other places and always come back. My daughter and now son go here to get their hair cut.
I love the extra touch of the place that they display art work from different artists for different period of time.

Elizabeth Barragan is truly wonderful! My husband and I both get our hair cut by her and she is incredible. She has been cutting our hair for over 2 years and we are consistently super pleased. She is talented as a hair stylist and always takes extreme care to give us great cuts and/​or highlights. In addition, she is a true gem of a person. She is a pleasure to spend time with and truly inspires me every time I am with her. I am so grateful we found her. Elizabeth Barragan has been cutting my hair for the past year since arriving in the Bay Area. She has done an awesome job and I would recommend her in a heart beat.

This review has been years in the making for miss Jaclyn Chace. I’ve been getting my hair cut by this wonderful woman since her initials were JQ. And-​despite a few deviations and a little experimentation-I’ve always faithfully returned.
Today, after going along with my long-​hair dream for a few years, we finally decided to chop 6 inches off and she new exactly what kind of shape I had in mind before I even said it.
On top of her great artistry (which includes years of experience in the fashion industry) Jaclyn has such a big heart. She’s the sort of kind and understanding grounded person you would want as a friend. But I suppose an hour or two will have to do :].
She’s just excellent. And always booked out. Not a surprise. She’s definitely the kind of stylist you would expect to have a loyal client base. She does it all-​color, long and short hair, and always with love.

My husband and I followed Elizabeth here (she was previously at Lagar in Palo Alto) and we are so thrilled we did. She does a consistently beautiful job every time, takes the time to listen and check in with you as she goes. I never have to worry that she’s going to go rogue with my hair, as many other stylists have. Every time I get a haircut from her, I receive a multitude of compliments from my coworkers. And her cuts always grow out nicely, too. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to many different stylists before and if you’re a guy who cares about your appearance, then this is the place for you. It’s conveniently located off of El Camino Real with lots of free street and garage parking across the street from the salon. if you work in the area, like I do, it’s great to be able to come in during lunch or after work before meeting up with friends for dinner or drinks somewhere nearby.
I’ve been going to MyLan for over 13 years and have referred all of my friends to her. She does a great job of listening to her clients, analyzing their hair types and making valuable suggestions if/​when needed. I fully trust her skill and expertise and the results have always been excellent. She takes a great deal of pride in her work as she meticulously prepares, cuts and styles my hair. Aside from that, the most important quality that differentiates her from other stylists is her creativity and ability to visualize a new look that not only compliments her client’s physical features but also their personality as well. I usually «let her drive» while feeling 100% comfortable and confident that whatever she suggests will look good.
From the phone call reminder a few days prior to the appointment, to the friendly greeting by the front desk coordinator, to the leather chairs in the waiting area to the different art hanging on the walls, all make for a very positive experience. Also, need to get cleaned up for a certain event but your next appointment isn’t until several weeks away? No problem. She can get you in for a quick neck trim (sometimes at the last minute) to hold you over which is GREAT!
I’m also very happy that she was able to open her own shop and has been able to attract other top talented stylists as well. She’s been able to implement an easy going, no pressure environment which is clearly displayed by her stylists and the other clients who come in.

There’s finally an upscale hair salon for guys. Not only does it have the word «arcade» in the name, but you feel like you’re in an old fashion gentlemen’s lounge. The location is perfect and there is plenty of parking in the FREE parking garage across the street. I have to say that I felt welcomed the moment I stepped into this place. All the stylists are friendly and it seems like there are always beautiful people inside this salon.

My stylist is Mylan, and I have to say that I don’t think I will have anybody else but her do my hair. She’s easy to talk to and she understands the look that I’m going for. I have to say that I was surprise by the amount of detail and thought that she puts to doing my hair. I now understand the value in finding a great stylist that you can trust and appreciate. I’ve recommended my friends to her, and not only do they look a million times better but they’re extremely happy with my awesome recommendation.

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very clean, modern, classy, and laid-​back. I have gotten my hair cut by Shannon for over a year now, and I wouldn’t consider going to anyone else for the job. He has a wondrous vision and a precise touch unlike anything I’ve previously experienced.
I would highly recommend making an appointment here, and making it a tradition, as it is more than well-​worth your time.

There is nobody in the world I trust more than Mylan with my hair. I’ve been with her for over 10 years and have recommended countless friends to her. If this gives you any idea how great I think she is, I lived in NY for 3 years and even with all the great stylists they have there, I wouldn’t cut my hair until I came back to the bay area.

Just like Jen C., I’ve been following Mylan around for a little over 10 yrs now. I’m so happy that she decided to open her own hair salon! I had been growing out my hair for over 7 yrs in order to donate it to Locks of Love, Mylan is the only person I trusted to give me a completely new hair style.
The main reason I followed her around is because she knows how to cut curly hair, any length. She has always given me a great cut that is virtually a no fuss style and allows my curls to have the freedom they live for.

I’ve been following MyLan around for more years than I care to admit. Most of that time to the ends of the earth (DTSJ) so I was beyond THRILLED when she honored the entrepreneurial goddess within and took over this spot in PA. In the meantime I’ll just add that the logistics here are outstanding — parking is plentiful, good eats surround the salon and ²⁸⁰⁄₁₀₁ are within a reasonable distance.
