Vendors beware.
I’m sure this is a lovely shop, but the owner purchased a large amount of candy from my company. Unfortunately, she refuses to pay the bill. After over 15 phone messages, «she will call you back», etc. she has made NO effort to pay her bill. If you are a new vendor of this shop… beware …

I discovered this beautiful store on my way to lunch at Zibbibo. I now get all my hostess and birthday gifts there. I can call last minute and they will pick out a gift and delivery it. This holiday season I am going to have them pick out, wrap and deliver my office gifts.

Afraid that we were losing all that might be interesting to shop and browse in downtown, I am so happy to welcome A View From The Terrace! They carry a wide range of gifts for the home that are all special and not cookie-​cutter, department store variety. Treat yourself or the next person on your birthday or anniversary list with something special from this elegant store. There are pictures, linens, dishes, serving pieces, and so much more that is unique.

Recently a dear friend and I parked on Kipling to make a trip into Shady Lane, a place where we both love to browse and shop. It was our good fortune to have to park a ways down the block because it resulted in our stumbling upon a shop newly opened in Palo Alto.
View From the Terrace is a delightful shop filled with treasures of all sorts for home decoration. Like Shady Lane, it has so much to offer that every time you go you will discover new things, not just because they are new, but because there’s so much to see that each time, something new will catch your eye. Fortunately I think that these two shops complement each other rather than competing.
The owner Terri is a delightful lady and I look forward to many years of visiting and shopping. Stop in and meet her and become a regular. This is a wonderful new addition to downtown Palo Alto!
