Excellent and so much variety of Sushi and sashimi yellow tail/chili oil/salmon eggs. Dragon roll and crispy rice with spicy tuna. Everything just exceptionally delicious

The price for combo #20 isn’t that bad. You get teriyaki salmon, 4 pieces of spicy tuna or california roll, tempura, and rice. I’ve been coming here for quite a bit and I have to say this is my new favorite sushi spot. You definitely can tell the flavor of how fresh their fish is. I’ve been to a couple sushi restaurants(fish doesn’t have a pleasant flavor) *cough* asahi + sushi raw *cough* and the fish that Sakura has is delicious/has more flavor. All of their special rolls are so damn good too! This is the kind of restaurant where I have to change it up every time I visit because everything on the item is so good.

First thing you see when you look at the menu(without even opening it) is a charge for every additional sauce requested, I guess they really wanted to make that clear. In most sushi places they usually offer complimentary sides of ginger and wasabi and they will also place some in a couple of the dishes you order but this place is pretty stingy when it comes to quantity. As for the food, it is pretty mediocre, not something I would consider a go-to if you’re craving sushi. It wasn’t busy when I was there so I was seated right away but I wouldn’t guarantee the same compliment when it comes to parking. This restaurant is located in a little plaza next to other restaurants and a Filipino grocery store so usually parking is a hassle.

I went to look for a sushi place around my new neighborhood. I had a mackerel sushi, a house yellowtail cut roll and a Sapporo. The mackerel tasted fresh, it better be they’re next to a seafood market. The rest of the food was unremarkable. I spent close to $ 40 for this meal and felt this place is definitely not worth the money. The décor felt like I was in Yogurtland and they have a oddly placed TV facing the very corner. The parking is tight and shares the spaces with the seafood market.

I’m on the look for a good Japanese place and then I found this place. When we entered, we were really disgusted by the smell. It smelled like a nursing home and the woman greeter/server is very rude and in a hurry to get us leave. Also, I requested for a japanese mayo and they don’t have any idea what it is. Weird for a Japanese restaurant to not have it but to not know it all is crazy. Don’t go here if you want a good service. There’s another Japanese restaurant very near here and they have very good service.

I come here sometimes to get a quick sushi fix if I don’t have time to go anywhere else. It’s a bit overpriced for the quality of fish and sushi, so I stick to the salmon collar, pretty good, albacore sushi or the spicy tuna on crispy rice. Other than that, most of the sushi rolls are nothing amazing and mainly filled with imitation crab and spicy tuna. The service is great, staff is friendly and the place is clean. It’s a hidden little spot with just enough to kill that sushi craving. Not a place I would recommend to anyone looking for good sushi.

I’m always iffy about trying new places. The albacore sushi was terrible. The fish felt like it had a film of something like old fish. The taste was terrible. I couldn’t eat it. My boyfriend got salmon skin rolls, he said they were dry as hell. His baked muscles had a lot of white Stuff at the top. Didn’t even look like baked muscles and he asked for light mayo. The fish does not look fresh. Never again!!!

They have the BEST seaweed salad. It has super fresh cucumber underneath. Their sushi was amazingly fresh and flavorful — we got the sakura roll and the woodman roll. Also got the full house fried appetizer. Strongly suggest all items. Ordered green tea and they kept refilling it which I appreciate as some places are stingy and just give you hot water for 1. They also gave free miso, which I know isn’t alot but it was thoughtful. Polite but not bothersome service, nice environment, and very fresh sushi. Coming back!

First sushi place I went to in my area since I moved in and I am not disappointed. Got some seafood for Ash Wednesday and the fact that I am craving for some sushi and Udon. I ordered shrimp tempura hand roll and tempura udon. I loved that the ordertaker confirmed if I want a hand roll and even pointed a picture of the hand roll. I really loved she asked coz there are people who don’t know what they are ordering from the menu and then they get mad when they have a different item from what they have in mind. The server is also good in refilling my hot tea. I am very satisfied. This is a great place to grab some quick and delicious sushi.

Food is overpriced for the area and the environment is not a clean sushi eating environment I enjoy. I also really hate any place that charges for a side of sauce like ponzu or eel sauce. You are selling sushi! These sauces are part of a complete sushi dish! Its the principle, not the $.50.

This place was cute and quaint! Sushi rolls were good! Service was fast! They were all very attentive! Feels like the kind of bar that you can call home! I had two rolls and both had lots of flavors that mixed well!

Late night stop, craving some Sushi! Food was great love it! Service, well not all that great. Stopped by with my little girls, all she did was stare at them, and we asked about the rolls and the lady had no idea what it contained, she just repeated the name of the roll, like I should know what it contained, and it had no description on the menu. My plans were to try something new. But she seemed so miserable, and rude.

People hardly would think much about a sushi place in the middle of a Filipino shopping center. But Sakura is the only thing someone should think about when searching for good sushi within the Valley. I’ve been coming to Sakura ever since I was 5, and from my first memories I can still remember the great service and the great food. Of course at that age I was starting off with California rolls for«sushi.» But it was delicious. Recently I’ve been coming to Sakura more frequently now. I’ve introduced Sakura to my boyfriend and now whenever he’s craving affordable good quality sushi, the name which comes to mind is Sakura. I have this obsession with scallops, and a love baked anything, so I began ordering the BSC roll as my usually at sushi restaurants. And from Trying various restaurants within the valley, Sakura seemed to be like the best choice. Every time I put a piece of that roll into my mouth it melts. And it is fantastic. Not only is the sushi something to rave about so is the tempura. It’s a nice amount of crunch and the sauce which comes with it, is great. I do like their teriyaki, but I admit it could be better. Along with their miso soup, which used to have tofu and seaweed but now only has, soup. But it’s still complimentary and something nice to slurp on before your meal. From memories as a child to now, Sakura sushi always impresses me.

Do you ever go to a place you found on Unilocal(or just so happen to be near a place that is praised on it) and really, REALLY want to like it because, according to everyone else, you’re supposed to? That was my experience here. I got two rolls and my standard green iced tea. The décor and service was customary; a chill spot that doesn’t go all out but manages to be perfectly sufficient. The food was just bland, though. The name of the rolls escapse me right now but I’ll update when I get a chance. One was the triple sashimi wrapped in cucumber one that I usually love and the other was a yellowtail concoction. The cucumber one was almost tasteless and the other was simply okay. For the price, it certainly wasn’t worth it and the poor parking didn’t do much to lift my spirits when I left. There’s plenty of cool stuff here, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this. Try something else.

My favorite sushi spot in the valley. I’ve been coming here for many years and I’m still a loyal customer. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I usually go for salmon and escolar sushi but I also love their hot hot hot and Erwin(?) rolls. Try the escolar if you’ve never had it– it’s so buttery and melts in your mouth.

Come here for lunch sometimes and overall it’s efficient and pretty decent sushi. They give you soup with lunch meals and service is quick. Normally order tuna rolls and /or tempura. Tempura is not to heavy or light and Rolls are good too. Would recommend as its a decent spot for the area…

The reviewer below must be tripping. It is not next to a whole foods. It’s next to seafood city and on the same strip where jollibee is. Anyway this spot is my go to sushi place when I don’t feel like driving. It’s super clean, the staff is super nice. The quality of the fish is good and the prices are super reasonable. Overall good place PS the hot hot hot roll is a must!

First time here and man I am stuffed ! I loved the vib and the customer service. Waitress was always polite(«excuse me» when taking our drinks for refill) and never let the drinks go empty. She even served us miso soup right as soon as we sat down. The combo plates I expected were small like a lot of other resturants but no they are perfect lunch portions(comes with rice and salad). I’m def coming back when I get a chance. Everything was perfect !

I have been coming here for years. Kenny and his staff get it right. We love the variety of the sushi boat option and it’s fun to order. The sushi specials are great … Also a great place for quick quality lunch or a long fun dinner. At Sakura they also make the best salmon sushi around. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the sushi. The sushi chefs make any custom order and combination that you can imagine… They are nice about custom requests. It is family friendly at the tables near the aquarium.

My BFF introduced me to this restaurant. We came together and really enjoyed it. We split the California Roll and the Tiger roll. They were both amazing and I especially enjoyed the Tiger roll. This is my second time at this restaurant. It has impeccable service and a great ambiance. I really enjoy coming and plan on returning and hopefully adding this to my go-to restaurant list. It is located in a strip mall. There are a few other Chinese restaurants and a Thai restaurant I believe. My friend said she has gone to a few of them but her favorite is Sakura.
