Service review, bought the accord from you guys 6 months ago. So naturally I decided to come for an oil change in the service department. Set up appointment for after 6pm and arrived promptly, waited few minutes for service desk to be written up and then proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. Seriously it’s more than an hour later, car nowhere to be seen. What’s the point of appointments and express oil service when it takes hours.

This review is on the service Dept. If I Could rate a zero I would. First I scheduled an apt for today at 730 am. Rep said I could drop car off the night before but neglected to say it voided the apt. Someone first called me at 10am. Then finally called back with what was wrong and pricing which was $ 1850
4 tires, front brakes, back brakes and rotor and brake fluid wash. They neglected to mention my act had a 20% coupon that would reduce to approx 1450. I couldn’t get a beak down of tires and rotation. I requested 2x and left Vm for Chris the supervisor whose message says he is not in today but everyone insisted he was. When I went to get my car I told 2 people I left a VM for him they both said he was there but busy. I go out to get my car and there is Chris sitting At a desk staring at a monitor. I confirmed with the Girl who got my car and she proceeded to give me a dirty look when I said I guess he is not all that busy. Once staff new I was upset with timing of call and lack of stating I had a coupon they all had attitudes. I will post again in a week when I get prices from other mechanics. I went here out if conscience and will never come back again.

This is a review for the new sales department. I had a very pleasant experience buying my new accord here. I had an 03 accord that needed a new timing chain, and decided I would rather put the repair cost to a new car down payment. (The TL/​DR is we had a truly painless and quick buying experience here.)
I walked in on a Wednesday evening with my husband and parents. We were greeted by a very young sales associate, I think he might have been 19 or so. Anyway I had no clue what I wanted to look at, told him I liked my accord but wanted to consider other cars. Before selecting some models to test drive the salesperson walked us through the pros and cons of every car and small SUV, I was genuinely impressed by his knowledge of their inventory given his young age and prior bad experiences with other dealerships.
On to test drives. We narrowed down to the CRV and Accord. He brought one of each around for me to compare at the same time, and allowed me to take 3 total drives (two on the accord one on the CRV). I ultimately decided I was most interested in the Accord EX and we went inside to discuss pricing.
Negotiating the price of the car was mostly painless, the only issue was a manager had been helping another customer so we did wait a bit. We were firm on a specific price and finance deal, and the sales manager was honest that it was not possible for the model we wanted. However he came back and offered the 2015 LX for a very competitive price and gave us the exact finance offer we requested. No trying to convince us that we had to have a higher interest rate, no pushing a more expensive model, no pushing upgrades, no shady business at all!
After that I just had to pick a color, and again the sales person brought around 2 cars for me to compare — he probably went back and forth to their lot 7 – 8 times for me (which is down the block from the showroom.) Once I chose we completed the paperwork effortlessly, got a complete walk around of the vehicle again, and he even set up the Bluetooth with our phones before we left.
I think we spent 3 – 4 total hours at the dealership. Most of that time was me driving and looking at models. I also received several follow ups from my sales person and Honda customer service to ensure I was happy with my purchase. I would recommend DCH Paramus Honda to anyone in the market for a new Honda.

Shady dealership that will play the typical car sales game with you:
— Made you wait as they go back and forth to ‘check with manager’; even with a negotiated price from the web, we were forced to endure 5 hours before we could close the deal
— Sales manager who was a total pr*ck and almost made us walk out the door
— Gave very lowball offer on our trade-​in and made it seem like they are doing us a favor by buying our used but great condition car
— Provided a contract which had a higher sales price (several grand higher!) that what we had spent 4 hours negotiating! This got me fuming!
— Gave us lousy interest rate despite me and hubby having a perfect credit score; shop for an auto loan before coming here!
— Unwillingness to budge on sales price despite telling us over the phone that if we come in, we may be able to get a better price due to holiday promos
You name it, they did it. I’m not a fan of this place. You’ve been warned! The only saving grace of this place was the sales associate who worked to with us to close the deal. I would not recommend this dealership if you’re looking to buy a car!

My family and I are very appreciative of Alex Bernabe’s help as we leased our new Honda Civic. Alex negotiated the price via e-​mail & phone making it a hassle free experience. He knew that as a new dad I did not have a lot of time to spend at the dealer so he got the car and the paperwork ready to go by the time we arrived at DCH. Thank you again for making this such a wonderfully easy experience. We’ll definitely be coming back for our next vehicle.

I’m writing a complaint to the BBB about these people. I feel I was taken advantage of, and am angry with the service department. They are not nearly as accommodating or professional as Toyota. I would not buy a Honda again. This was an awful, upsetting experience. When you see a woman alone, you don’t bully the person into paying for exorbitant repairs that are not of an urgent nature. I hope Honda loses a lot of customers. Yes, I take responsibility for my part, but mechanics shouldn’t engage in unprofessional selling of service.

So, I went into the dealership last week as I was interested in leasing a 2016 Honda Accord Sport and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I was approached by a salesman, Ladi Shehu who was apparently strolling the parking lot clearly with nothing better to do. From the start of our conversation I got the vibe that my experience here wasn’t going to be great. Also this is my second shot I gave these guys, after a bad experience a few years ago when I was inquiring about a preowned Honda Pilot. Let alone the previous issue, I thought let me give it a second chance and see what happens. As soon as the salesman opened his mouth and uttered the first few words I automatically knew I wasn’t doing business here. He was very uninviting, unfriendly, unenthusiastic, and simply just came off as rude. I told him why I was there and he didn’t seem to provide me with the customer service that I have received at other Honda dealerships. He took me on a test drive just because I wanted to get a feel for the car, even though I knew I wasn’t going to close a deal here, during the entire test drive he sat in the passenger seat mute and didn’t even bother to explain to us the features of the car, which frankly is the job of the sales person. We came back and I sat down at the table to just discuss numbers and get a feel for what they were gonna offer me so I can take the offer and go somewhere else and have them beat the offer. When I told him my about the lease on my current 2013 Nissan Altima is coming to an end and I would like to trade the car in and get into a new lease with Honda, he seemed to respond very insensitively and didn’t even bother to work something out with me. He didn’t even put forth any effort to work on a deal with me, I seriously don’t understand how Honda doesn’t realize and evaluate such poor performing sales individuals as this business is fully customer service based. I barely had them cover the last two payments on my current lease and he tells me the lease end process with Nissan is not our business thats between you and them, which I found extremely rude as other dealers offered me to trade in my vehicle and they will cover any costs including lease end fees for me to get into another vehicle with them. Long story short, after much back and forth between the price and even exchange of some words with Ladi and his manager I left the dealership very annoyed and disappointed. I guess my idea to give them a second chance wasn’t optimal. After leaving there, I went to Metro Honda in Jersey City with their offer and the experience I had at that dealership was above and beyond. They went out of their way to work out a deal with me and ensured customer service was a top priority there. Paramus Honda lacks customer service and I highly discourage anyone that cares about how they are treated to even make a stop here. Anyone interested in a new car, I would recommend you drive 15 minutes to either Mahwah Honda, Passaic Honda, or even Jersey City for a better service. I will definitely advise everyone to save your time, money, and effort and go somewhere they actually value you as a customer, at the end of the day its your money and your experience.

Terrible service in jersey. When I picked it up my car. I saw damage in my car. I told them. They told me we will call you. No body called me and Natasha Nedd never give me answer.

A good body shop explains the changes and what work was done — not done here.
The works seems competent enough.
If you find a cheaper place that can do competent work, you are better off heading elsewhere. The issue of course is finding great work.

I scheduled an appointment online for test driving last weekend, went there on time but they told me the car (they have only one of the kind) is blocked by five others, I’ll be unable to drive it that day, let’s schedule an another appointment… OK, rescheduled for a week later. They had a week to move the cars but still when I went there today on time, the car was at the same place, blocked by the same amount of cars, still unable for test driving! I traveled more than an hour to get there, they’re just wasting people’s time!

My 2008 Honda A/​C blows warm air in the stop and go condition. The A/​C function properly in all other conditions. I noticed this issue when I drove in the highway and
met in the traffic jam. I took my car to the store twice for the same issue. I paid $ 1,939.59 in total. However, the problem remains.
I called Honda America and found out that «The Honda service bulletin 07 – 062 applies to my car’s A/​C issue.» When accelerating at speeds below 20 mph with accelerator pedal more than halfway down, the ECM/​PCM turns off the A/​C compressor.
The shop needs to update the PGM-​FI software with the HDS. Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration. The store in its response claimed that the description on the Honda service bulletin is the opposite of my complaints. I disagree. Frequent (hard) acceleration and deceleration under 20 mph in the traffic or in the city is common. This is the situation that the A/​C starts to blow warm air because A/​C compressor been turned off.
The shop offered me the third appointment as a resolution, but avoided my concerns regarding unnecessary repairs. To be honest, I am not able to trust that the store’s assessment was fully honest and accurate, and that the costly repairs really were necessary. The key thing is the issue hasn’t been fixed yet, and I have already spent almost $ 2 grands.
The store claimed «we contacted Honda and they have no record of that nor do they try to fix cars over the phone»
1. How do I know the service bulletin applies to my A/​C issue if not been told by Honda America.

The store claimed low freon and two leaks on the A/​C unit
Two symptoms if A/​C leaking
1. A/​C is not as cold as it should be
2. A/​C does not work at all
None of symptoms apply to my case.
Here are the problems which written in the invoices.
A customer states check A/​C system doesn’t cool when decelerating from 20 mph (first invoice)
A customer states when driving from high speed to low speed the A/​C starts blowing war air check and advise (second invoice)
To be fair, here is the store’s response regarding my complaints. You be the judge.
The customer brought the car in on 7÷9÷15 the miles on the car were
135,481 with the complaints of check A/​C system doesn’t cool
when decelerating. The technician found low Freon in the system
filled the system to the proper level and added dye. The system is a closed system,
meaning if it’s low or empty there is a leak some where, which is why they added dye.
The same service visit the customer approved additional work that
has nothing to do with the A/​C system for $ 996.64 only 177.95 was related to the
A/​C system for checking and adding dye. The customer was told by the advisor to bring the
car in a few weeks to re-​check the Freon level. The car came 7÷24÷5 with miles of 135,801
with the complaint of when driving from high speed to low speed the A/​C blows warm.
The technician looked at the car, and found the Freon low and used a leak detector and
found two leaks one in the Condenser and a line leaking the total was $ 765.00 We have
reached out and spoke to the customer and agreed to bring back for us to look at
but they never showed up for the appointment. The customer claims he called Honda
and they told them what the problem was over the phone, we contacted Honda and they
have no record of that nor do they try to fix cars over the phone. The bulletin they are referring
to applies to the compliant of when accelerating from a stop with the gas pedal pushed more then half down and below 20 MPH,
this is the opposite of there complaint. We are more then willing to look at the car again and come up with a
final resolution for there A/​C concern. Thank you

I went to DCH Paramus on July 22 to buy a used Honda Accord. The service experience was decent, albeit slow (took about three hours from the moment we decided on a car until paperwork was done). I am happy with the car, at least for now (three weeks later). With that said, issues began as soon as I left the dealership.
1) During my discussion with the financing manager we discussed a HondaCare package. The dealership offered it for approximately $ 1,400. The manager claimed that I must get the package at the time of buying the car. I later find out that this is not the case — I could have purchased a cheaper HondaCare package from another dealership.
2) I only received one car key. The salesperson who sold me the car claimed that he has another key, he just «can’t find it right now». I later found out that there is no other key. The dealership offered to produce one for me, but that requires going to the dealership again during their 9−5pm business hours (so half a day off and half an hour in traffic each way).
3) The biggest issue began about 10 days after purchasing the car, as I was waiting for registration and paltes. The salesperson kept texting me asking for more documents, claiming that my driver’s license is expired (it is not). Over a period of five days, I supplied the dealership with every possible document: passport, social security card, utility bill, pay stub, W-​2, you name it. Despite these documents, on the afternoon of August 6 (Thursday) the dealership informed me that they are unwilling to complete my registration process, and that I will have to do it myself. When I tried to talk to a manager, he was impatient, refused to provide any information on why they wouldn’t continue with the registration, and generally tried to wave me off by repeatedly saying that he doesn’t know anything.
Unfortunately, my temporary plates expired on August 10 (Monday), which meant that 1) I had to drive to the dealership on the evening of Thursday 6 to get the title, 2) I had to go to the DMV on Friday 7 to get the registration done.
Throughout out interaction DCH Paramus has been slow and unprofessional. Evidently, they do not care about repeat customers — they just want you to buy a car, leave, and hopefully never come back.

Alex was able to help us to get the car we wanted. It’s a big dealership and hard to keep track of inventory but the upside is that they do have more inventory. We didn’t get exact colors but they were able to give us the car we desire. Thank you Alex for working with us!

What a bunch of liars and hacks. Everyone in the service department should learn the basics of customer service. If someone is interested in dropping 800 dollars on tires, have the decency to return a call, ended up leaving 5 messages for the specific tires I wanted and lead time on them, they didn’t return any calls. What a horrid customer service experience. Also, what dealership doesn’t have loaner cars for someone who spent over 22 grand on a car initially with them. I will taking my business elsewhere. Thanks for nothing. I beg you go somewhere else Unilocal readers.

Great sales men, great service, and great car!!! Hamad deeb not only gave me a great deal, he was very patient and cared about what I wanted in my car. he sat down with me and broke down my finances and was overall excellent! highly recommend getting your Honda from there!

I bought my new accord from them recently. Car came with 85 miles. You would have no options.
Manager is ok. However sales is pretty bad. I had to wait for 5 hours for paperwork. Sales guy was little faster than other people. However, their finance process is extrememly slow.
Sales person was dumb and arrogant but quick. (Had a feeling that he came drunk at work) .
They crack jokes on you and make you feel terrible.
Finance manager lies with full confidence. Even when you catch his lies, he would cover it with other lie.

We all love having a car. The freedom. The ability to move about with ease and comfort. Radio, AC, etc. Now what we don’t like: is taking the car for service. It is a pain in the you know what.
DCH Paramus Honda makes this experience as easy as easy be. My wife called to setup an appointment closer to her work for same day service. No issues. Very friendly and accommodating.
Arrived about an hour early. They took me right in. Everyone from the front desk to service tech to cashier was friendly, nice and all explained the process to me. It was actually a very painless experience. I might say an awesome experience.
Waiting area was comfortable and spacious. TV on morning news. Free bagels and coffee. Room temp great. Comfy chairs.
My only complaint… I had to paid… lol…
Total price was very fair and I was comfortable with price point.
Overall, DCH Paramus Honda provided a pleasant experience. Key word here is very comfortable doing business with them. From the moment I walked in to my departure everyone was as friendly and nice as they could be. I wish I remembered everyone’s name, but I want to say that the staff as a group… awesome.

I want to thank Elana Zvanets for getting me into the car of my dreams! She took such good care of me and even helped entertain my three year old (who was determined to run amok and be the center of attention). My transmission had died the day before, I was driving a rental and exhausted from a long, stressful week but she made the process so smooth and simple. I didn’t even plan on buying a car Saturday and sort of just stopped by to look but I was genuinely delighted to go home the new owner of a 2012 Camry. I highly recommend Elana at DCH of Paramus to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle :) Thank you honey, for everything!!!

Review for the service department:
They say dealerships are always trying to rip people off. Is this really true? I never actually thought so but today I caught the Honda service department in a lie. They told me I needed a new cabin air filter when I changed it myself 4 days ago. Last time I was here for a servicing, they told me the cabin air filter needed to be changed and they’d do it for $ 75. I declined. Changing this filter is easier than changing a tire and even faster than going to a gas station to fill up your tank. The youtube video on how to do it is 30 seconds long. It really takes no effort whatsoever so I just did it myself. When they told me this time that it was dirty, I called them out on it and said I changed it on Tuesday and that it was impossible for it to be dirty already. They made up some BS about how the filter was gray so they thought it was dirty. The filter was not gray, it was white. Well, they said, it’s an after market filter so they just didn’t recognize it. Yea, right.
Anyway, I complained of course, got the service manager, Bruce involved. He offered me a 15% discount on top of a 10% discount. He was really pleasant. Seemed surprised that the mechanic (unnamed) or salesman (Frank) would lie about this. I don’t know who lied exactly and I don’t really care. Bruce made it right so I’m not mad anymore. I’ll still come back here for servicing.
I can’t say I’m not disappointed this happened though. After all, I had bought my car 2 years ago at this dealership. I’ve never brought it anywhere else to be serviced. Aside from changing the cabin air filter myself, no one besides Honda has ever worked on my car. People always warn you to be careful about dealerships because they’re all snakes and liars. My boyfriend and friends weren’t even remotely shocked when I told them that they lied to me. Like this is typical of dealerships and I was being silly for expecting them to be honest. Regardless, Bruce apologized to me personally about the incident and he seemed genuine so I will continue to be a customer. However, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. But let’s hope it doesn’t get to that.

We stopped by on a Friday afternoon to possibly lease/​buy a car.
At first we weren’t bothered by the fact that no one asked in the showroom if we wanted any help. After a few minutes, we heard a happy birthday song and there was cake. They were celebrating a birthday at the front desk. We approached the desk to get a sales person to help and the lady at the desk paged any available salesperson come to the desk. No one came.
A majority of people were eating cake and we saw people waiting standing near the front desk. We walked out… not impressed.
