Yutaka Japanese Bistro

While the sushi here is wonderful, it’s why we have repeatedly returned, the last couple of visits, including today, the service has been lacking.
Today I stopped in for lunch with some friends, the King Roll was excellent as usual, however my friend that had ordered chicken fried rice did not get her meal until 20 minutes after we got our sushi. And we had to remind the server that she was still waiting for her good after the server had been to our table a couple of times to check on us with no mention of why it was taking so long.
Food would get 5 stars for me
Service is what brings my rating down.

I think most people sure come here and eat because this place is good I never have sushi that taste so good and fresh

Some of the most ignorant people ive ever met work here, you ask them a question about something on the menu and they give you an attitude, not my fault you cant speak English

Highly recommend the lunch specials due to the great value. I really enjoy their crispy tempura and combination boxes. They sell their beautiful tea mugs for $ 10 each, too.

Wow… ordered thru the Unilocal App and was pleasantly surprised! If thier sushi was this good delivered… I have to go in and try it in person!

I’m not a sushi person, but I am slowly trying it and enjoying it the more I eat. We have always had the typical imitation crab sushi from the local grocer stores.
We ordered multiple rolls here that I thought sounded good and I really enjoyed it.
This is a good place to go when you are hungry or want to try something new. Decent priced and fast service.

Always nice to be here. Very tasty sushi and friendly staff. They are usually pretty busy on Friday and Saturday nights. They offer takeouts and delivery, too.

Two months ago I would have given 4 or 5 stars but something has recently changed. The golden roll I used to love is suddenly half the size it was at exactly the same price. The sushi does not seem as fresh and tasty as it did a few months ago. After being loyal customers for several years we are now crossing this restaurant off our list.

My wife and I ate there Saturday night, and here I am awake at 1:40 am. What woke me you ask? My wife flying to the bathroom to vomit. & much more. That was the only thing, besides a protein drink, that she had eaten on Saturday. She had California rolls and yaki soba, she wasn’t fond of the soba but she ate it. She should have skipped it, and the entire restaurant. We won’t be dining here again, I prefer to keep my wife happy, not hugging a trash can. Maybe our next date night won’t end in vomit…

This is by far the best sushi place I’ve ever been to! And they deliver! Dangerous combination haha. I highly recommend the black dragon roll, my fav! I can’t recommend enough :)

Love it for delivery sushi in a suburb! Always good and very consistent staff who remembers us with prompt delivery and friendly smiles! Love it

This place is the worst sushi restaurant that I’ve ever had in my life. Everything taste the same! I eat at many different sushi restaurants in the springs in which all are better than this place by far. Not to mention at a better price also! SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Good sushi for lunch or dinner and nice atmosphere. They have a take out option and a full bar if you eat in. Good all-​around place for a quiet dinner or special occasion.

My wife and I love yutaka sushi. We go there often on our date nights. Great service and tasty food.

Do not use their website to order in advance!
I’ve eaten here a few times now. I think the sushi is quite good. The customer service is lacking though both at the restaurant or if you order delivery.
I really like that you can order delivery. If you call and order, it goes smoothly but if you want order in advance just don’t even try. I was having a large group of friends over and wanted to order in advance to make sure that we served dinner on time. I ordered via the website about 10 hours before I needed the food so that the restaurant would be prepared for the large order. Forty-​five minutes after the food was supposed to have arrived, we still had no sushi. My guests were hungry and were eating other things. I called the restaurant and they said they didn’t know what I was talking about. They rummaged around through some papers while I was on the phone and then said «Oh we have an order from» and stated my name. I said yes, and they made the order. They didn’t apologize for the mix up. They didn’t issue a discount. The food was good and the order was correct, but by the time the food arrived, my guests had nibbled on a lot of other things and I was left with a lot of leftover sushi that I had to throw out.
I would only order from here again because it’s one of the few sushi places in town where I have not found a bone in my sushi.

Should have gone to Mariachi’s for my birthday on Cinco de Mayo. Yutaka’s didn’t even sing me happy birthday. How depressing. I went to Yutaka’s to avoid the Cinco de Mayo crowds because I have 2 small kids and my husband was out of town. Totally regret it. Not sure I will go back at all now.

Always fantastic! Come in for the tuna tar tar and a cocktail and you won’t be disappointed.

I have gone a few times and I agree with other reviewer’s that something just does not taste right about the sushi, but I can’t put my finger on it. The bento boxes are okay, the salad dressing is tasty. They have basically nothing on the menu that a child would like, so that is a drawback. The atmosphere is nice, and the restaurant is very clean. The presentation of the sushi is beautiful, but they need to bring the quality up. I have yet to receive good service and I’m never sure if the waitresses understand English 100% because my order is usually delivered to the table incorrectly.
June 6, 2016. Give it a try tonight thinking a year later things must be better, still no one understands English and food is delivered incorrectly. Writing this place off.
