good, quick service at a reasonable cost. Would recommend this place for getting new keys made. Not super friendly (the young man that made my key kinda looked like he’d rather be doing something else) but OK

I needed to get my key fob program so I called several places first before coming here. The shop have all kind of locksmith stuff related.
I believe the prices vary depend on your car model & year. The owner charged me $ 60 to cut the key, program the fob & key itself. It’s definitely cheaper than getting it done at the dealership! It took him less than 10 minutes and I was outta there.
I’d recommend calling in first before you come. When I called to get a quote, the father picked up and told me his son was out. So I had to call back again to make sure his son was in the shop before coming.

Get the job done and better than going to the folks at the hardware store.

Fast and Friendly Service. I lost my car key. Manuel came out fast and made me a new one in No time for a good Price. I would definitely come here for all my key making & I Highly recommend them to anyone who needs any type of key replacement or copy.

What a really great place. I came in to get keys copied, which the owner did. They also have locks, all kinds of keys, and mountains of expertise. They’ve been in business for years. I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

Fast keys and good keys! Any type of lock you need. Car keys too! Prices are not too bad

I called these people after I had locked myself out of my home office. They promised someone would arrive within 20 minutes. Chen, arrives close to an hour after schedule time. He assesses the door and quotes me at $ 55 for a service charge and $ 375 to unlock the door because it is a «specialty lock.» I immediately direct his attention to the company advertisement that charges $ 19 for a service call and the $ 35 house lock and key. He then defensive and says he needed to charge extra for the specialty door. He obviously was confused and thought he could haggle a woman who owns her home. I called my husband who came down the stairs within minutes to put Chen in his place. He immediately knocked down the charge to $ 175. I am still livid that the price quoted online ($ 19 for service call and $ 35 for house call) was not honored.
Do yourself a favor and find another reparable company that will not lie to your customers about their prices.

Had an appointment for noon today and they never showed up or called. I called at one and they said they could come at three. Again, no show. At 3:30 I called and there was no answer. I left a message and never got a call back. I will not (attempt) to use this business again. Weird.

These guys are very good. Being involved in property management, I use their service regularly. I’ve never had them come to a property, but I often bring locks for re-​keying and have more keys made. Have never had a problem.
The only reason that they are not a five star is because of their electronic miscommunications. The office is frequently closed because they are out in the field (or for whatever reason). And they are not very good about answering the phone or returning calls. So make sure that you call them AND REACH SOMEONE before you drive to their shop. Otherwise, you run the risk of the store being closed during normal business hours with no indication on the storefront of when they will re-​open — not very convenient.

I went to get a broken car key copied. Nice good service, no fuss about the key being broken. $ 7 for 2 copies. I am happy.

Altadena Lock & Key fixed two broken locks and a door knob on my very old front doors. Luis was skilled and professional and got the job done for a competitive price with a quick turn-​around. Next time I will call them sooner!

This is the second time I’ve used them and they’ve been excellent both times. They showed up precisely when they said and done the work quickly and reasonably. Kudos!

I am extremely happy with the service I received from the Altadena lock and key shop. We got the keys to our new house at 3pm yesterday. I phoned at 3:30pm to have the locks all rekeyed. I was told that they could be with me in 15 mins and 10 mins later they arrived! Luis, the locksmith, assessed the 8 locks we wanted rekeyed and then swiftly made the changes. He made us 4 keys and waited patiently while I checked each key individually. Finally, he presented an extremely cheap invoice and as he didn’t have a credit card machine with him, said I could phone the shop when I had a chance to pay with my credit card.
This efficient, polite and skillful business was a pleasure to employ and I would recommend these locksmiths unreservedly to my friends, family and the wider community.

Courteous service. Father and son came out to my place, they were on time, very professional and personable. They changed 7 locks with deadbolts in record time. I would highly recommend.

I should have looked at Dubyoo Dubyoo W’s review because they did the same thing to me, NO SHOW and I called them twice. If you want reliable service do not call these guys, enough said.

Quick service. Installed a dead bolt for me. Installer was on time and the shop recommended me a good dead bolt. Installer cleaned up well after drilling the wall.

Person who answered the phone was curtious and efficient. I was able to get a same day appt. For a lock repair. Technician was clean and kind, came fully equipped with the tools for the job and left the area spotless with a fully functioning lock. Yes I would use them again and recommend them.

I just needed a small travel lock cut off of the zipper of my suitcase. I called and the guy told me to come in and he wouldn’t charge me for something so simple. I went in, and 5 seconds later it was done! He didn’t charge me at all. Good Lock wanted $ 10 for the same 5-​second service. Thanks Altadena Lock and Key!

Why did they even get a chance after missing one, you ask? Rental bureacracy… In any case, at that point, I said fuggit, and hired my own locksmith, and passed the bill along.
These guys are a joke.
