Been here with my wife on three occasions. Each time we were on time and had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. Our last appointment was scheduled to be at 3PM. They called use a few days before to tell us that the doctor had a surgery scheduled for the same time and they needed to change our appointment time to 2PM. We changed our schedules to be able to make it. Had to wait an extra five minutes for our childcare and they refused to see us. We went here because supposedly they are good. However, they have no respect for their patients.
Wound up seeing Dr. John Williams III at Cedars-​Sinai. Amazing doctor.

I was recommended here to get my first trimester screening. This is the ultrasound that happens around week 12 of pregnancy that shows the likely hood of your child having Down’s, etc.
It was very easy to set up my appointment. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and efficient and booked me for my appointment.
Fast forward to day of, my husband and I parked in the big lot next door to the office building off of Fair Oaks. We took the elevator up to the 5^th floor and waited in the comfortable waiting room. I can’t speak to if the wait was long or not, because I actually forgot when my appointment was supposed to be, so we arrived almost an hour early. Oops!
When it was finally our turn, we were led into the room and given instructions. Dr. Bruce later joined us once his assistant had me prepared.
Dr. Bruce is so calm and patient, and he really put me at ease. To do this test, the baby has to be a certain way. It has to appear in profile with it’s chin slightly tilted up. Huh. As a photographer, I can tell you it’s hard enough getting adults to follow direction, could you imagine a fetus?! He gave me a few tips and tricks to try to get some action down there. Basically, the baby was sleeping with it’s back to the camera. I used the bathroom again, danced a bit, and luckily I had brought a meal bar in my bag that I ate. Finally, the baby started to move! It took a good while, but finally the baby got into the correct position. This is where the doctor’s patience skills come into play. If you are waiting in the waiting room for your appointment, I’m sure it’s because the person before you isn’t having a cooperative baby. Try to be patient, because when it’s your turn, your baby might be rude as well!
Pro tip, eat something before you go in. Apparently the baby is more active if you just have eaten. To test the theory, I had an appointment with my regular doctor the following day. I ate some avocado toast right before I left the house, and sure enough the little thing was dancing all over the place.
I also did a blood test while at Dr. Bruce’s office. The results came back inconclusive, so they called me and invited me back in to repeat the test. They were polite and professional about the news which was basically, «You’re too chubby for this test.» Harrumph.

I had my NT scan with Dr Bruce and soon I am going for my 20^th week ultrasound. MY OB/​GYN office has no availability again and I don’t mind at all. Dr. Bruce is very calm and understanding, he also explains everything, takes his time and does not rush but above all he is very funny. I could not stop laughing at my visit and I could also see on the monitor the baby jumping all over the place because of that lol.
He has a nice and cozy place. His staff is amazing, love you ladies, keep up the good work. I had to wait for about an hour to be admitted but it’s simply because he was called for the delivery. That actually also happens with my OB/​GYN, I never fuss about it because nobody has control over those situations and it will most likely be me soon, stealing the doctor from somebody’s appointment ;).

I was referred to Dr. bruce for my NT scan & blood work. The office is cozy and his assistant /​receptionist was very nice and polite as well. He was very pleasant and funny. He explained the process before hand and was very patient in waiting for the baby to position itself in the right place. I would absolutely recommend him! I am very happy that I went to him.

Just waiting and waiting… good thing he has this oversized couch at the waiting room but we have been here for almost 1 hr and still waiting. Its passed our appointment time and we are the only ones here.
Doc was nice and explain all questions and concerns, the wait time is just too long.

I am 36 yrs old and was referred to Dr. Bruce by my OB for additional routine tests, etc. I opted for the u/​s instead of amnio. Dr. Bruce and his staff are wonderful. He is very comforting and patient (also very amusing! He has a great sense of humor). I would highly recommend this perinatologist and rate as an excellent physician.

Do you ever have an experience where your first thought is «this is going to be a disaster and everything is going to get screwed up!» and then everything goes perfectly and it’s actually the best experience ever? That’s my husband and me with Dr. Bruce and the story of my NT scan (s).
How did I end up seeing Dr. Bruce for my NT scan?
My OB/​GYN could not accomodate an appointment time for me within the window acceptable for an NT scan so I was refered to Dr. Bruce. I was kind of concerned because it didn’t seem like my OB’s office had a very clear plan for how the outcomes from my appointment would get worked out so with some trepidation, I gave Dr. Bruce’s office a call.
What makes Dr. Bruce’s office staff and scheduling awesome sauce?
Dr. Bruce holds a senior position at Huntington Hospital and he also runs a small Perionataology practice adjacent to Huntington. He only sees a few ladies a day and it’s actually pretty easy to set up an appointment since I think he does most work by referal. It was easy to get an appointment and his staff was really nice and helpful on the phone.
What makes the experience of getting your NT scan with Dr. Bruce so great?
Because his office is teeny and cosy he only sees one woman at a time and allows adequate time between appointments. Unlike my OB’s office, I never felt rushed. Also, my appointments started bang on time. Getting an NT scan is stressful so I appreciated not having to wait any extra time. This is the kind of proceedure where you want it done on time with minimal additional waiting time to induce worry.
Why is Dr. Bruce and his nursing staff so great?
Dr. Bruce is incredibly well respected as a perinatologist so I felt like we were getting some really stellar care. AND he’s also got exeptional bedside manner. He was so kind and relaxed and jokey in an appropriate way. He really put us at ease. You can also tell that he and his nurse and office staff respect and like each other. They just give out good vibes. Also, I apparently have a very stubborn little baby who refused to get in the right position for the scan. He just kept hanging out upside down in the corner. As such, I had to come back for a second scan (which was also easy to schedule) Throughout this all, Dr. Bruce was patient and funny throughout the process. I never felt like we were wasting his time.
And did your results ever make it to your OB’s office?
Yep! In fact, everything arrived ahead of schedule.
Bottom line, you’re in good hands with Dr. Bruce and his team.

Going in for my final visit with Dr. Bruce as I’m 36 weeks today. No words can really capture the essence of how wonderful this Perinatologist is. His staff isnt much different. Knowlegeable, professional, warm, calm, patient, caring, gentle and confident r a few words I would use to describe him. Without reservation, I would highly recommend him and his staff! 100% of my visits, my husband and I leave feeling that they truly value our business.

I delivered my children at the age of 35 and 38, and therefore considered high risk pregnancies and referred to Dr. Bruce for amnios and level 2 ultrasounds. I declined the amnios but Dr. Bruce conducted both ultrasounds. He was very nice and humurous. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He also assisted my obstetrician with my 2^nd c-​section and I felt very confident that everything would go well as they were both there… and it did! Both of my children are healthy and beautiful.
In addition, I got to see Dr. Bruce at Huntington Memorial when I was in labor and delivery being monitored. Here, I saw how well respected he was by everyone and how much people valued his opinions, which in turn gave a boost to my confidence in him.
Needless to say, he is the best and I trusted him completely. I would highly recommend this doctor without any reservation!
