I love coming here to get a haircut with Sonik! I come here 2 – 3 times a year. I’ve never gotten a cut by anyone else other than Sonik, so this review is because of her. She’s great to talk to and most importantly she gives great advice when it comes to my haircuts! She’ll recommend things, but is never pushy! I’m always happy with what she does to my hair!
They do have other services at this salon but I’ve never tried anything other than a haircut! You can get a mani/​pedi, tanning, waxing, facials, and they even have a chiropractor! I really want to try one of their facials.
They keep the place clean, and the employees don’t fight with each other. Which is why I left the previous salon I used to go to, and the final straw was when two employees almost came to blows in the middle of my haircut! So whenever I’m in need of a haircut and I’m able to get a babysitter for my son, this is the place for me! Thanks Sonik!

Gel manicure done by Nancy aka Fancy Nancy! She is so sweet, and does great work. Pays close attention to detail… I will definitely be going back to see her!

I’ve become a regular here and couldn’t be happier. It’s great to have a place to get your hair done and know you’re going to walk out feeling more gorgeous than when you walked in. As soon as I sit on that chair, I trust Lori completely to work her magic. I have definitely found the cure for my hair stylist anxiety. I told Lori what shade of blonde I wanted to be and she made sure to check everywhere until she found a match. All the people there are always so nice and the courtesy call I get the day before my appointment is always so personable, as if I’m getting a call from a friend. This place is great and I can’t imagine getting my hair done elsewhere.

I saw Idette today and she rocked my new hair color! I showed her a picture of a red color I had been wanting for sometime and she did not disappoint. I am SO happy with it. She took her time and paid attention to all the little details. Idette is so nice and she definitely knows her stuff! If you are looking for some color she’s the one to go to for sure!

Bad haircut advice! Good customer service. Do not cut your hair short upon your stylist’s nagging recommendation.

This is a disastrous place!!! My entire week is now ruined thanks to the stylist who did not know the meaning of a faux hawk and made me look like so bad !!! Surely not going back to this place ever again!!! ANGRY, FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED !!!

I stumbled upon Jubilee through LifeBooker and made an appointment with Sonik for bayalage highlights. She was really friendly over the phone and asked for me to come in for a consultation the same day.
When I arrived at the salon, I was so relieved that there is a parking lot behind the salon on Mentor Ave! Upon walking in from the back entrance, I was already amazed at the number of services the salon provides, which i was unaware of prior to booking my appointment. I met with Sonik, who is just as sweet in person as she is over the phone, and immediately knew I found the one… the perfect hair stylist.
I explained to Sonik that I have virgin hair (never chemically treated/​dyed) and that I was interested in going lighter, and adding some bayalage highlights. She gave it to me straight! As much as I personally wanted to go lighter, she was completely honest about her opinion and I respect her so much for that… and I am happy that I listened to her suggestion. As she said, with my skin tone and my features, going lighter would only take away from my «exotic» features since my hair is very dark. She made sure to explain the reason behind the process and said it is obviously possible to go lighter, but it just does not suit my skin tone and features. Instead, she gave me an amazing haircut and the best blowout I have ever had. Every single time I have had my hair blown out, it usually ends up looking like my hair is completely straight, and only the ends are flipped out. I have no idea why, but it just happens. Sonik really perfected my blowout and I loved my curls! My hair feels so healthy and even. I am beyond happy with the outcome and cannot wait to go back to Sonik!
Overall, the salon has great hair stylists. As Sonik was working on my hair, I noticed that all of the other hair stylists are just as detailed as she is.

Sonik is the best!!! As a mixed girl I’m very picky about who touches my hair. I also used to keep it very short and found it hard to find a stylist with stylish cuts. Suffice to say that Sonik can do it all!!! I’ve had color, cuts, and keratin treatments (now that I’m growing out my hair). PLUS — she threads eyebrows.
Finally, Sonik’s best quality is that she strives to giv we you what you want, unlike a lot of other stylists.

My last review was filtered, but I am so happy with the service here that I am going to try again (btw there are 76 filtered reviews at this time, and it is worthwhile to check them out).
My sister introduced me to Sonik since I had been looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded. She has done a perfect job every time. Because of that, we even let her move on to our hair (which is a big deal since we are mixed and it’s hard to find someone who knows how to work with it).
Aside from being good at her job, she is a sweet person and a genuine delight to be around. Add that to the salon, which is always fun to be in since the rest of the staff is great, and the entire thing is clean, I would recommend coming here to anyone.

Wow I was truly satisfied with Nancy. I came in wanting Halloween themed gel nails and although she doesn’t do it often she did an amazing job especially the spiderweb design she did for me I was very impressed and happy!!! I can’t wait to come back and see what other beautiful design she will do for me.

Sonik is awesome! I booked an appointment for a haircut through lifebooker the same day and had no problems at all! She was super friendly, made me feel very comfortable and took the time to really understand what I wanted for my cut. She did a great job and gave me exactly what I wanted.
I’ve been here once before for a spray tan and had a great experience then too!
I will definitely be back!

This review is for Spray tan only. I found them though lifebooker deals. I don’t remember a girl who did my tan spray. She is very friendly and professional. Did very good job. Their tan product and machine is very good quality. Every time I come back my tan came out nice and even with just right amount of color that I like and last very well when I follow post up instructions.
It is little pricy without a deal but well worth not looking orange and uneven.

I am a guy who lost his barber suddenly. I first went here because it was close and it was an emergency. My girlfriend mentioned the place once. It was right next to where I buy my groceries. It could not have been more easy. In short, the service was great and I have gone back several times since. I love that I never have to wait even when I am doing a walk in.
Sonik (sp?) is a wonderful person. I am sorry some people had issues with her. But I have found that she does a great job. Furthermore, the woman is a great listener! It has been awhile since I have got my haircut, it was getting rather long. Sonik picked up our conversation right where we left off. Very easy to talk to and sometimes that makes all the difference when you are getting a hair cut.

Here is a perfect example of the bad service. This woman is lying. This woman sonik is the owner. it was she who made the error on lifebooker and it was she who called and left the vm telling me my appt was moved to three and it is she who has the phone intonation and etiequette of a new jersey construction worker. I wouldnt let this woman use my bathroom let alone give her business.
sorry sonik. you got caught. now u r just making it worse. dont try to twist things around because i stood up for myself and told you about yourself.
As for other customers out there … use this salon at your own discretion.
Any professional business owner would have done a better job from the start or at least tried to contact me personally after my Unilocal review. She had my number. and as for the supposed cussing and insults trust my after being treated like garbage via phone for five minutes when all i was trying to do was bring her some business you would tell her to go you know what herself at the end of the phone call too.
Adjust your attitude sonik. and as for scheduling an appointment at your salon please… I wouldnt take a pet scheduled for euthenasia there. Read your other reviews. You have had this problem before. God bless the power of Unilocal.it rewards the good and exposes well… you be the judge

I love coming here and have been doing so for the past 2 – 3 years. Sonik does an amazing job. She sculpts my noggin like Michaelangelo. The place is very clean and the staff is great. I highly recommend a visit.

this review is for the airbrush tanning ONLY… So I got a Groupon deal for the $ 19 airbrush tan. The salon is cute and open. I’m giving it 1 star because the lady was nice and professional while doing the airbrush. However being an esthetician and knowing airbrush tanning myself it didn’t feel like I was getting the right treatment ie it felt WAY to spaced out on my body and not close enough to give me the right color. She said I would see the color within 3 hours however I didn’t see much of a difference but didn’t think anything of it and would just see it the next day.
So the next day comes around and its my time to see my tan for my trip to Palm Springs. As my instinct was correct, I get into my outfit and my legs are blotchy and streaky, the color was an orange tone (not bronzed like I had planned) and most of my body didn’t even show much color period. I wouldn’t recommend this place especially for the full price of $ 60!!! Most likely sticking to myself doing my own airbrush tanning!!!

what a fabulous tan i received from Sonik! she was friendly and made me feel at ease and assured me i would have a golden glow for vegas, which i did! it gradually showed up the next morning. This is the second time i have gotten airbrush tanned (first time was Platinum Image Spa on Melrose) and I can say that Jubilee’s tan product, Infinity Sun is waaay better. Do your research! You don’t want to look all speckled. That is not hot.

This review is for the airbrush tan only. It just loses one star cause of the price and it was a bit hard to find. I can’t remember her name, but the girl who did the airbrush was awesome and made me very comfortable.
The color is natural and made me look great in my photos the next day. It lasts only 5 – 7 days so that’s too costly for me to maintain for $ 60 per visit. If I have another major event, I would only go here to get a good looking tan. They do use a quality product. I looked like I just got back from a nice Hawaiian cruse. I wish they had a package deal.
I got a groupon deal somewhere else for 2 tans for $ 30 but they normally go for $ 25 and even less if you get a package. What a deal! uh — NOT! I didn’t even come back for my second visit. It wasn’t worth it. I felt sticky, gross and left orange for a week. I couldn’t exfoliate the color off my palm and it was disgusting. Comes to show, just because they call it «airbrush» tanning, it’s not all the same.

This place is a gem! I had a wedding to attend and I was searching all over for someone to do hair and make-​up at a reasonable price. Outside of Glendale, this is the place you want to go for professional hair and make-​up by Scarlett. Heck, I live in Glendale, and I’d rather go here any day!
This girl is fantastic. She’s got skills, vision and finesse when it comes to hair and make-​up artistry. She listens to you and then creates like this masterpiece on you. I got so many complements for my friends and boyfriend :) about my hair and make-​up — I felt like a princess. And, the ‘do and lashes lasted all night long. She does such an amazing job that I have been recommending her for bridal parties and weddings.
Scarlett does not disappoint — ask for her! I feel kinda bad giving away my secret, but she deserves it!

This review is meant for Damien. He was the stylist that worked on my 11 year old daughter’s hair. He did a magnificent job! Her long brown hair had acquired a greenish hue thanks to the chlorine at the Boys and Girls CLub. He did a Brazililan blowout to her front bangs which had resembled a brillo pad. He did a keratin treatment, conditioning, haircut and blow dry… it all came out to 100 dollars. Yes. that’s very expensive for an 11 year old girl.
However when she was looking at herself in the mirror, she said «Mom, I am pretty, My smile even looks better with my hair” — Now that’s priceless.
Of course, my daughter negotiated that we would only return for special occasions– her birthday and Christmas.
Damien was very thorough, gentle and attentive towards my daughter. I am very thankful for his beautiful work on her hair— and on her self esteem!
