I’ve had the pleasure of being a frequent client of Juliet Kakish Salon in Pasadena since November, 2013. My stylist is Juliet, and she is the quintessential perfectionist. She sets audacious goals, achieves stellar results, and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction w all hair care needs. In addition to cutting hair with great precision, Juliet is a great conversationalist and makes you feel very comfortable during the appointment. She genuinely listens to your ideas & strives to yield the best advice so you can attain the impeccable, immaculate look. Her sense of style and ability to appreciate the subtle nuances of hair is an innate talent. Juliet has a keen eye for fashion; her special gift is sharing that passion & vision with her clients. It’s no secret that the reason she has succeeded and earned exemplary 5 star ratings for her craft. As someone with a global perspective and who has traveled to a plethora of international countries, I am in a unique, qualified position to comment on a first rate salon when I chance across such a classy establishment. The decorum is elegant, the staff is courteous, and the ambience permits peace of mind & clarity of thought. As an added perk or ancillary benefit, Juliet offers a wide variety of refreshments including water, juice, tea, and soda. Juliet Kakish salon raises the bar in terms of creativity and quality. I truly wish I could assign this salon in excess of 5 starts because in word… it’s extraordinary.

Was referred to Juliet saying that she did awesome work. Her work was acceptable. I walked in and was initially approached by her assistant and she was very very nice. My appt was at 2:30 but was told that she was running a bit late which is totally understandable. Juliet was right in the front station of where I was seated. She never once poked her head through to say hello or acknowledge she was running late. She asked me questions through her assistant even though i can HEAR her. 45 mins later she approached me, again no apology or acknowledgement of her being 45 mins late. She only half heard my request and whisked off to mix my color. I felt like I was given a hand out even though I paid for my services. She barely spoke to me. Once she was done with me just moved on to the next client she knew. Not even a word of Thank you, Goodbye or are you pleased with your hair? Nothing! It’s a shame that she is the owner of this establishment. I have been to more established salons and I was never treated in this matter. Her work is not worth the treatment you get with her service.

My hair has never been healthier in the last year! I love my hair cuts and started using the Juliet Kakish hair product line and my hair feels soft and clean! Juliet is by far the best hair stylist I have had in years she’s sweet and her work is always what I want. It’s hard to find someone you can trust with your hair I am thankful I found mine.

This salon made me create a Unilocal account because I was blown away by their service. I’m visiting from New York and needed a blow out ASAP! I called the salon and asked Juliet if she could squeeze me in. She told me to come in right away to get my hair done. Both her and Olivia were amazing and I am definitely happy with how my hair came out.

I’ve been to many hair salons and have had many bad experiences over the years until NOW. Juliet did such a great job. I came in really disappointed over the work that someone previously had done on me and I walked in and then and there… she immediately got to work and fixed my hair. Her prices are reasonable. She understands what you want and takes her time to do it correctly. I love her salon it’s welcoming and everyone is very professional. I really recommend everyone to come here for beautiful results.

This was my first time going to Arlene & this Salon after years of going to the same person. I came across her work on Instagram and I was so impressed with the pictures of her work and I was curious to see what she could do to help me achieve the color I envisioned… well, she didn’t disappoint!!! I’m SO happy with my results! I LOVE my hair color and the super soft texture.
Arlene took the time to do the back n forth with me to truly understand what I wanted, and she accomplished giving me exactly what I asked for.
Aside from how more than satisfied I am with my results, the ambiance and staff at the salon is all of equal quality. They only use high quality, professional grade products (Olaplex was amazing on my hair) and the Hairstylist & Staff is Friendly, Welcoming and Professional!
I would, will and already have, HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to Arlene and letting her work her colorist magic on your hair, you’ll be so happy with the results… you’ll defiantly get a lot more compliments!

This is the second time I’ve been to this salon and each time I leave I leave with beautiful hair I went from having brassy hair that I regret not going to juliet for but she managed to fix it to a beautiful charcoal ombré thanks to juliet! She also knows what she’s doing she’s continuously checks up on you and make sure your hair is comung out the right way so if you need a change up or need a color correction you should most definitely give juliet a call.

So I finally decided to leave a review after little over half a year later. I came in wanting to go lighter eventually blonde, prior to experiencing a bad hair job elsewhere with bleach I decided to give this salon a try after seeing «good» reviews. I decided to book an app with Arlene, based on the photos that she had experience with blonde hair.
The bleaching process: She told me that without a doubt she can lift my thick healthy light brown with highlighted hair to an ashy blonde. I also needed color correction (mostly on my lower mid back of my head) due to the fact I use to have black hair a year a ago at the time. So she began bleaching those brassy areas first. I have a full head of hair, while she was almost half ways of the bleaching process the back of my hair began to feel warm, at first I thought it was the sunlight shinning in the salon & hitting my head, within seconds my head felt really hot & I told Arlene. She checked the foil & burned her hand as trying to remove the foil, she then begins to spray cold water on my hair & calls Juliet over & they take a look at my hair as I see their confused/​shocked expressions. I asked «what happened?» & Arlene then responded imprecisely that there was a supposedly ‘bad chemical reaction’, perhaps due to «previous hair dying at others salons», &/​or «caused by cheap products they used on my hair» (clearly impossible when I hadn’t had my hair done/​touched in approx. 3 months). She didn’t hesitate to take the blame, without any precautions to check my hair. To this day I’ve never had any problem with bleaching or having my hair fried, they obviously use cheap products here. Anyway, going back… She also didn’t tell me that my hair had got cut short due to frying it with bleach & over processing. She continued to process the rest of my hair, after couple hours of finally progressing my hair, she looked at her phone & said she will not have any time to blow dry my hair since everyone else was clocking out while Arlene & I were the last ones to remain. I mentioned having dinner afterwards with my boyfriend & didn’t say much after. She was not very talkative afterwards, so as hair is progressing she sits around the salon while on her phone. Some time after she rinsed my hair & finished off with a blow dry. She said to come back in a month so she can take me more blonde.
Arriving home I kept running my fingers through my hair & it felt extremely dry. I then noticed where Arlene had fried my hair. I ended up losing half the length of my long layered hair. I of course then never went back yet still charged me the same as I when I walked in, & was not rewarded with honesty nor a discount by the neither of these girls. I strongly do not recommend getting your hair done by Arlene, much specially if you want to go blonde, nor would I recommend trusting Juliet either. They clearly don’t give two damns about their clients hair but rather instead take your money by giving you a horrible hair job. Clients beware, this is a very unprofessional environment!

I was a chameleon when it came to my hair color. I lived in Northern California, had moved back to LA, and was desperate to find an amazing colorist. It took me over a year, hundreds of dollars, and a lot of patience. Then, I found ESTHER! I had gone from a dark brown color to platinum blond (because of a highlighting error gone bad) to auburn just before seeing Esther. My hair was damaged and the color was flat and red. It took a few visits, but Esther performed a miracle! First of all, she listened to me, which the other hairdressers failed to do. She fixed my color and helped regain my healthy hair. Now, I see people I haven’t seen in years, and they can’t believe how natural my now blond hair looks, especially because my natural hair color is dark brown.
Do yourself a favor, book your cut, color, and highlights with Esther. I’m so thankful I finally found her!

There is so much to be said about Jeff! For him, his work is not a mere job. He puts his heart, soul, and not to mention passion into the magic he brings about at this salon.
I’ve had numerous cuts with Jeff and when your done, you feel feminine and ready to take on the world!
I would like to say, I feel like a million bucks but a million bucks cant buy the way a girl feels when a cut turns out practically perfect every time. Your not just any client for Jeff. He takes his takes with each one, first analyzes your hair, its natural movement and texture, asks what your desired styles are and most importantly, listens very carefully, even during the process for feedback.
There are lots of hairstylists out there but if you have found Jeff, your journey ends here, don’t look any further!

I have been looking for a new hairstylist for a while now and I finally found her! Arlene is the best. She takes the time to listen and do exactly what you request. She styled my hair perfectly. It’s been awhile since I have left a salon completely happy. Until I met Arlene! I am so happy to have found her!
She did an ombré style along with exactly what I wanted in my haircut. I am very pleased with the final outcome!
So if you are looking for a great color and cut along with great conversation then make an appointment with Arlene! You won’t be disappointed. She is my new go to hairstylist. And I will definitely be going to see her from this day forward! I already made my next appointment :)

I came here after having my hair butchered at another salon. I came in the minute before they closed, crying and Jeff took me anyway. He offered me wine and asked quarks about how I wear my hair to make sure he got it right.
My cut was so amazing that he made me fall back in love with my natural wavy hair! I used to flat iron my hair everyday because my cut never accentuated my natural wave.
Jeff is personable, listens to your needs and does fabulous work. I am a new loyal customer and send everyone to Jeff!

I absolutely loved my experience & service that I received not only from the salon, but specially my stylist Arlene! She was not only sweet, but honest. She is very professional & exceeded my expectations of my hair coloring. She did a beautiful job on my color, cut & style. I will definitely continue coming back to her because her prices are great and so is her work. I’ll send over all my girlfriends as well.

I first came to Arlene in October of last year. I had been without a hairstylist for a very long time! & my hair was in very bad condition. I had seen Arlene on Instagram @styledby_amarie & was blown away by her before and after pictures! I just had to get an appointment with her ASAP! We spoke over the phone & we instantly just clicked she’s very nice & sweet… everything you want in a hairstylist! It was so easy to set an appointment with her!
I was so thrilled when she completely hooked up my hair. She dyed, cut and styled it as well & I was in love. I always used to be nervous when going to hairstylist I would never leave their chairs happy but with Arlene I leave so happy, she exceeds my expectations! I can just go on & on about how amazing she is…
Her prices are super affordable. Her work is amazing. & the Juliet Kakish staff is exceptional. Be sure to go in and see for yourself!

It’s been quite a while since I got a not so hot look at this establishment. I hate to do this but I am a firm believer that constructive criticism is critical and helpful in anything.
To make a long story short, I came here to get big, sexy, loose curls for a work x-​mas party (yes, the way my hair looked that night has bothered me since Dec. 2013, time to get this off my chest). It sounds simple right? I just wanted the young woman (forgot her name but she had blonde highlights and was not Juliet) to tease and curl my hair. She was very friendly and said nice things but when you go to a salon you expect to get what you want or something close to it not just good conversation.
When she said «I hope it stays!» i was like that’s it she knows she did a terrible job and is hoping it stays «teased». How does a salon not know how to tease someone’s hair and curl it? It was such a simple request. Anyway, moving on. I will never step foot in this place again. Sorry ladies, but my hair was flatter than the state of Texas that night and that is unusual as I have super thick, long hair. I could’ve done a much better job than this. I still tipped because I am polite but I wanted to cry 30 minutes later. I tried to keep curling it at home but it was no use. :(

I had a Brazilian Blowout done by Esther and I am so happy I found her and Juliet Kakish Salon. I needed a treatment and saw the five stars on Unilocal.I like the Salon and Esther is extremely knowledgeable with the Brazilian. My hair is frizz free and shiny. She didn’t rush and she is sweet and wonderful to talk to as there is a lot of time to Brazillian Blowout takes time! Thank you I will be back!

Juliet Kakish Salon is a great salon, filled with friendly, knowledgeable staff, not to mention the most gorgeous staff I have ever seen working in a salon. They are respectful of your needs and wants and are absolutely amazing at making your hair dreams a reality!
Let me first start off by saying «THANK YOU JESUS!» I have searched high and low for the right salon and stylist and I am relieved to say I have found just the place! I have had some hair nightmares happen in the past with other salons and after getting my hair done here, I will never look elsewhere!!!
I have been here about three times and each time, my amazing stylist Arlene has performed her magic on my hair. She took me from a natural dark brown to a wonderful blonde ombré without damaging my hair! I love that she has helped my hair maintain it’s integrity throughout the process. She has truly gained a client for life and I would recommend everyone who wants to look absolutely fabulous to her!
**Important note to all you girls going to stylists who look like they just got up and rolled out of bed, don’t trust them with your hair if they can’t even do their own!!! This salon takes tremendous pride in their appearance, friendliness and cleanliness so you’ll never get your hair done by someone with bed head or a bad dye job… just saying lol :-)
