Wow! You really «assumed» a lot… I never said I didn’t want to pay for service! I just thought it was odd that my kitchen faucet stopped working as soon as Dan fixed the shower head. In fact it appears to have been connected. After the fourth phone call I said «don’t worry I will never call you again. I got a new plumber who fixed everything. Now we get a bill for the drain estimate which took a total of 15 minutes max for $ 250. My husband has 2 masters degrees & doesn’t make that! I think you have lost your good sense!

They rearranged the pipes in my bathroom so I could have a frameless glass shower. I haven’t had a problem since. It was a complex job and I’m happy with it. They’re not the only plumber I use but they’re my first choice.

Jim from Keithley Plumbing installed a new pedestal sink and faucet in one bathroom and fixed a shower temperature regulator in another. We had assumed that the repair job would require ordering parts and a second visit, but Jim dashed away to a local shop, found the part and completed the repair and the sink installation all within about 2.5 hours. He was on time, very pleasant to deal with, and highly competent. When the invoice came, it was really reasonable. We’ll use Keithley Plumbing from now on.

Dan Keithly is the most honest and competent plumber you will ever find.. . EVER!
I almost hate to recommend him, because I never want him to be too busy to come when I need him.
I have used Dan as my plumber for more than 10 years. His prices are so fair I wonder if he makes any money. He recently repaired a broken shut off valve (I snapped off the knob trying to turn it), a leaking faucet, a leaking drain line under my kitchen sink, and replaced an instant hot water unit.
All of the work was done perfectly and quickly. All of the parts charges were reasonable: not more than I would have paid at a plumbing supply or a hardware store. Dan even offered to let me order the replacement hot water dispenser directly, but his price was exactly what I would have paid at the plumbing supply, so I saved myself the trip.
I can’t recommend him highly enough: 10 stars!

I had had some BAD luck with a few plumbers before, being overcharged and under «fixed»…this was 100% NOT the case with Keithley Plumbing. Aaron was my plumber, he was super polite and professional, he spent about an hour fixing a back flow problem with my washing machine. He even got on the roof at one point to fix the problem. It’s almost a month later and there has been running perfectly. My bill from them was VERY reasonable. I recommend Keithley to anyone in need of a plumber.

Dan did fine work for us, but just be forewarned that you might have a difficult time when it comes to billing.
A few weeks back I called Keithley asking for their rates to install new bathroom faucets. They said $ 100/​hour, and that they can usually install them in 1 — 1 ½ hours (2 hours if the outgoing faucets were old, which mine were not), for an estimate of $ 100-​$ 200. Dan installed them in 2:13, was personable, and again, did a good job.
Then I got a bill from him for $ 402. Turns out I was charged for $ 94 worth of parts (which I wasn’t even aware I was buying, but whatever — I trust they were necessary), and a full 3 hours’ worth of work.
So I called Keithley and asked if their billing was prorated. The woman I spoke to said yes — they wouldn’t charge us for a full hour if they did less than a half hour of work. When I said Dan charged me a full extra hour for the final 13 minutes of work, she initially accused me of getting my info wrong. When I assured her that I timed Dan, she said that he was probably including travel time. When I pointed out that travel time was not included in my quote, she said that Dan said it was an «impossible» job, so the cost was justified. When I pointed out that their rates are determined by # of hours worked, not by degree of difficulty, she said that «anyone else would’ve taken 3 hours» — as if, I suppose, I should’ve been charged Dan’s rates for the time it would’ve taken another plumber to do the job!
She finally lopped $ 50 off my bill, which I feel was fair, and maybe at the end of the day warrants them a higher Unilocal rating. But the woman was so condescending and dismissive, and so unwilling to work with the customer, that I vowed I’d never use this company again. A shame really, as I was prepared to give thousands of dollars of work to Dan over the years, which he lost out on in an attempt to milk us for an extra hundred bucks.

Well it depends on what you are looking for…
Someone to show up on time — check
Someone who has a reasonable fee and won’t rip you off — Check
Friendly knowledgeable service — check
Plumbers butt? — Nope
We used Keithley after a recommendation of a girlfriend who had line problems and loved them. We have called them twice and they have helped at both our guest house with a thermal couple issue, and with a leak in our house. Both times the plumber was on time, friendly and so helpful. Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

I recommend everyone uses Keithley plumbing! They are a great and reliable business. We had been having issues with our bathtub for years and had it worked on many times and something would always go wrong with it. We hired these guys to do the work and they were quick and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves and we have had no problems with our bathtub since. They were honest and very affordable! We will be using them from now on for any plumbing jobs! Thanks guys!

Stay away!!! Keithley was hired to perform a job. He made mistakes and refused to correct the problem. His way of dealing with a complaint — hang up on you. Another plumber came and repaired his work. Don’t bother with this company.

I have to write on Unilocal about this excellent plumbing company. We got an extremely high quote (way, way over the top) to install a water heater from an other «very well known» plumbing company. My neighbor recommended me to call Dan Keithley Plumbing who gave us a more realistic quote to do the work. Dan and his staff were polite and courteous on the phone. We called on the Friday and Dan phoned first thing Monday ready to do the job that morning. Dan and his staff did an amazing job installing our water heater and at a price we could afford as well. I will absolutely be keeping this company’s telephone number as a reference for my friends and for myself for any future jobs.

After two months of working with the incompetent plumber our contractor recommended we found Dan Keithley through George’s Plumbing in Pasadena. He managed to solve and «unsolvable» problem. He was efficient, honest and best of all WE NOW HAVE HOT WATER IN THE MASTER BATH!!!

I’ve been using Keithley for all our plumbing needs for the last 10 years. They’ve always done high quality work, and they are very reasonable. I’ve used other plumbing companies in the past and some of them just gouge the hell out of you. You will get a fair deal from Keithley. They show up on time, very courteous (office too), and professional, just as Ted K. writes in his review.

I have known the Keithleys for about 40 years. They have served my family for many of those years and have done an excellent job every time. No job too big or too small, they are quick and professional. You can’t go wrong with Keithley Plumbing.

We «inherited» Keithley plumbing from our home’s prior owners, but still would compare quotes on work to be done. Eventually we stopped comparing and after one noticeably high bill, discovered a very high overcharge on hardware (500% markup from box store retail). After calmly asking about it, I was given a condescending explanation of how tradesmen make their living.
Willing to consider that we were wrong, we had two other firms come by and give estimates on work done with identical hardware. Even the big corporate level firms were less than half of Keithley. Quite sad really, felt betrayed even more than ripped off. Stay away.

We have had excellent service at both our home and a rental house. They are very responsive and reliable. They also clean up any mess when they are done with the job which is something you don’t always get from a plumbing service. I would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.
