Magical Playground

Joined Aiden’s first bday. It was so fun~ the place is all us and we don’t have to share with other party. The place allowed us to bring our own food even our taco track. Nowadays, so many playgrounds want to make more money and does not allow bring our own food.

We had a private party here for a First Birthday. We decided to get the $ 650 package that includes the venue rental, 20 balloons, face painting, decorations, cake, 2 boxes of pizza, etc.
Our party is scheduled at 3 PM and we got there 20 minutes early expecting that we’ll just have to put down our prepared home cooked food but we were shocked that the place is still empty. We were the one who decorated it, they just gave us the a few table cloth and that’s it. We were on our own.
I personally expected the 2 ladies staying there to be helping us during the party but I am totally wrong and please don’t get the $ 650 package ’cause it will have no difference with the cheaper one since you’ll have to actually bring in stuff and the face painting is totally not worth it.
But yes, the place is good for the kids. Big enough for their playtime.

From the moment I walked in I didn’t like the fact that there were two entrances to the place, as for safety issues. I looked around and they didn’t have an employee in sight to help out with «the NO shoe» rule. From then on I knew it was not CLEAN! Fast forward to 3 days later and I have a ring warm on my hand. I didn’t go anywhere except to Magical Playground with mats except here. They didn’t even have a sanitize box for when your child put a toy in their mouth and needs cleaning. I went ahead and brought out my own wipes and wiped down what my son was playing with. I will NEVER go back.

My 3yo and 1yo really enjoyed this place. Lots to do for young children. I tried to buy drinks but they had run out of all beverages (not sure if we were able to bring our own — we came on a whim). I bought a few snacks (uncrustables and Cheetos). PB&Js were frozen over :/​so kids only ate Cheetos. Next time I will come prepared (provided I can bring my own snacks). Parents and caretakers: there’s wifi and parking is tight. Good place, overall, to bring your kids.

We just had our son’s 5^th birthday party at Magical Playground this past weekend. All the kids had a blast. We love that they let us bring any outside food we want. The helpers were very helpful with setup, decoration, cutting/​passing out cake, and giving out favors. It was sweltering outside and everyone was thankful for the A/​C indoors. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends!

I just had my daughter’s three-​year-​old birthday party today at the playground. Outside temperature was like over 100, but we were perfectly cool inside. What a wise choice! There were almost 20 kids with different age range (6 month to 13y), and they all found something to enjoy. It’s so huge and spacious that you don’t feel cramped. Plenty sitting area for parents to take a break and at the same time keep an eye on the kids. My daughter had such a great time and kept saying how much she loved her party. I think that’s what every parent would like to see. Magical playground did it for me!

My boy and girl always enjoy coming to Magical Playground! The staff are always helpful and clean toys. A good place to meet up with friends and have the kids play.

The staff is pretty friendly but beware if you have a little one. Most parents/​caretakers come, chill out in the sitting area and look at their phone. NOT supervising their children. Seriously? Watch your kid. Anyway, the bathrooms are bad. The owners will not buy paper towels for drying hands and the machine the blows air out in bathroom does not work. So guess what?! I highly doubt people/​kids wash their hands. I cannot believe they can’t even provide paper towels!

Just received another birthday party invitation to this playground and I am really looking forward to going back there with my 5 year old son. The venue is just the right size to have parties or family gatherings. There are plenty of things for the kids to play, to jump, to climb, etc., and there is a designated area for the guests to eat, to chat and to relax. I am most impressed with the cleanliness of that place and the helpfullness of their staff. It is definitely one of the best indoor playgrounds you can find in the San Gabriel Valley area.

Bring your kids over on Friday open play hours till 8pm. Great way for the kids to spend their energy and parents can relax at the eating area while watching to kids play. Remember to bring your socks!

We go this place almost every weekend! It’s really nice and clean. Staff are very friendly!

I wasn’t expecting much, due to the price. But this was worse than what I could have imagined.
1. Parking street parking, then walk around to the back entrance or try to fit in the tiny narrow parking spots in the back.

We just had our daughter’s 5^th birthday party at Magical Playground in Pasadena and had a wonderful experience. We could not host the party at home this year so we did a LOT of research into other venues for a party. MP is competitively priced and is one of the very few indoor playgrounds that allow outside food and decorations. I booked the party over the phone with Faith who was extremely polite and helpful and did not mind repeating things more than once since it was difficult to hear with the noise of kids playing in the facility. I called back a couple of times before the party to ask more questions and they were nothing but courteous each time.
The day of the party my daughter got sick with the stomach flu and we were forced to reschedule. I spoke with Kathy to pick another date and again they were kind and understanding of the situation, even though they have a «no cancellation, no date change» policy. They couldn’t have been more accommodating which was such a relief since my daughter was heartbroken at having to reschedule.
The two party assistants, Rosa and Amanda were super helpful and organized. they helped us unload stuff, took care of decorating the room while we focused on setting up the food and drinks. They helped steer the party schedule which is something I’m used to doing and it was SO NICE to actually be able to sit, eat and hang out a bit with the other parents while the kids went nuts. They cut and served the cake, and also cleaned some of our dishes, took down decorations, handed out the balloons to the kids as they left and also did face painting and tattoos on the kids. This is all in a 2 hour period!
A note about the facility itself. I am impressed by how the owners seem to listen to suggestions as we have been going here occasionally since they opened and they have made a LOT of improvements. The toys, structures, bounce house, etc are arranged well and do not crowd the room. They’ve repainted and redecorated making for a more festive environment all around.
The only thing I would’ve changed is the amount of time for set up. It’s only 20 minutes which is really tight and a bit stressful. Amanda and Rosa were pros though and worked quickly. We were still setting up when guests started to arrive but it wasn’t such a big deal.
I’m so used to organizing big parties by myself and was taken aback that I actually had time to socialize and not worry about every little detail. I would definitely recommend hosting a party here! Kids and parents all had a great time. We will be back for more :)

We came here with high hopes and wanted to check the place out for our son’s 2^nd birthday. Wow, I was severely disappointed.
The pictures look nice and bright and open but it wasn’t really like that at all. It looked like an open warehouse space with some pipes/​lines against the walls. It was a bit dark. The toys were visibly used and old looking and there were some that were EXTREMELY disgusting with crud and what looked like food all over it. As a mom, I totally cringed at some of these things.
Most of the battery operated toys didn’t work. The jumper was ok but the slide didn’t look great as there were cracks in it. The gym looked great for older kids but not young toddlers as the slides would have been too intense.
I think the place is under new ownership. The front desk girl was kind. But honestly, I wouldn’t bring my kid here again. Overall, it wasn’t super inviting to me and just looked… dark and dirty.
I wish it would’ve worked out but… alas, it didn’t.

I went here for my nephew’s birthday. It was closed off to the public and it was a private party for two hours.
No socks inside! it’s a kids space with a miniature Chuck E. Cheese’s inside! They even had a little space for sitting and eating.
The bathroom was pretty stinky with dirty diapers! There is a small lot in the back but plenty of 1 hour street parking!

So confused by the name of this place. Maybe because it will be magical my kids don’t get sick from playing here. Ok the good– it’s huge, they have a good bouncy, a great slide combo the kids have to work to use which burns energy and lots of little toys. The bad– it feels filthy and unkempt. Not the kind of place that should feel gritty. It’s hard to keep your eyes on your kids because the way they laid it out seems un thought out and haphazard. I highly doubt they clean everything a few times a day let alone daily. It just seems worn out. The price was right but if I paid more I would have been upset. My girls did have a blast but fingers crossed they didn’t catch anything.
Sad because indoor play places are hard to comeby

My niece recently had her 1^st birthday party at Magical Playground. Its got everything for the kids from the big jumper to the color ball pin (more like a sand box size but color balls), baby and toddler cars, slides and horse.
The two girls there were very helpful at helping sitting the party tables and party balloons.
Please do make sure to ask your guest to bring their own socks, if not will have to buy 1 $ for a pair of socks to go on the play floor.
It not a extremely huge space but can fit at least 50 ppl. They are open for regular entrance for 7 $ a kid when there is no party going on.

Seriously I am pretty open minded and it doesn’t take much for my son to be entertained since he’s a happy guy.
But I can’t even believe I paid to play here. It’s actually a depressing place. My son even looked at me and said «mom where are all the other kids and why don’t the toys work». Literary NOTHING works and that healthy vending machine is vending machine like any other one with candy and chips. And it’s 85 outside and probably 80 in here with no breeze. One other kid came in so now my sons happy but this was a bummer. Oh well.

So, being the germaphobe that I am (a label I wore proudly long before getting the mom label), one of the first things I noted during my first visit here was a couple of other kids hacking. Now, I realize this must put establishments like these in an awkward position so I am not faulting them (ie: taking stars away) for that.
But EWWW.
Aside from that, here’s the real low down:
Friendly staff. Proximity to my casa couldn’t be better, decent size for my pint sized toddler, comparable rates (usually has some kind of Unilocal or Living Social deal to boot, great alternative to outdoor parks whilst we go into hibernation July-​August!
On the flip side, I have two major issues:
They could use a refresher of some toys (at least every 6 months?) like others have mentioned & their flat out/​admitted inability to assist you if you misplace your card (for package deals) is oddly annoying (system could be updated along with their toys??). Though, truth be told, the other indoor playground we frequent is just as behind the times when it comes to using any sort of technology for their check-​in process and account maintenance.
I also held my daughter’s third bday party here. Again, super convenient and very helpful staff (you get two assistants with the base level package). I wanted to be able to get there earlier to set up but they had inflexible rules about timing – so we had a whole 15 – 20 minutes to get everything carted in. Granted, and again, they have two staffers helping you do that. Overall, the 3-​star, Unilocal-​granted label of «A-​OK» fits this indoor playground perfectly.
It’s a wash…
Which is something everyone should do when you get home. Wash that is; thy hands– if you’ve been hanging out in any sort of playground.

So so dirty! I’m shocked by all the positive reviews stating that it’s clean. There wasn’t one single clean toy here. I couldn’t wait to get my kid in the bath when we left.
To the owner: Please spring for a decent cleaning crew. The location and toys are not bad but you’re losing customers everything’s dusty sticky and germy. Thanks.
