I tried dying my hair my self… Never a good idea when you don’t know exactly what you are doing. Basically it turned out bright yellow, the color of the sun kind of yellow. I had a panic attack and called Randy. He was able to squeeze me in even though he was extremely busy, he new I was in desperate need of some hair help. He was by far the the best hair dresser I have ever had. Not only was he super cool but he legit made magic happen. In one single process he turned my hair from sun yellow and stripes to beautiful ashy even blonde tone just like I asked. Unbelievable job I’m still in shock. I definitely recommend him.

Got a great haircut from Randy Madden. Scheduled with Randy directly and he was able to fit my schedule no problem. He greeted me at the door of the salon and offered me beverages from a small café space in the salon.
When it came time for the haircut, I told him I wanted something stylish that I could replicate on the day to day. He gave me his opinion and I liked his concept. I’ve been getting simple barber shop cuts my whole life so it was great to get a real pro’s perspective.
I got a great cut and will return for my next.

Let me start off by saying I had virgin hair (not dyed. Ever.) I’m not one to do anything crazy with my hair. I have bangs and strawberry blonde hair. I found randy through Facebook. When I wanted to cut my bangs, he did them perfectly. Gave me face framing layers too. Here we are almost a year later and I want to ombré my hair! Randy is an ombré master.
When i got there i was greeted kindly and asked if I wanted any refreshments. In the middle of getting my hair done I wanted lemonade and Randy jumped and got me lemonade. The atmosphere was light and clean. I went in with a friend of mine and both of us got our hair done. She got an amazing fire engine red to black ombré on hers and myself I got a blonde ombré. I was wondering if I would even be able to ombré my hair cause it’s so light already. Randy did it. Even on my light hair there’s a great contrast and it’s a totally new look for me. I’m totally in love with it. Thank you Randy!

I got my hair fixed by Randy at Chignon. Three days prior to going to Randy, I went to another place to get a regular shoulder length hair cut but walked out with a really bad cut. A friend of mind had gotten her hair done at Chignon by Randy and her hair looked amazing. So after she saw the disaster I had gotten she urged me to go to Randy too. I will admit I was skeptical when I walked in becuase I didn’t want my hair any shorter, but I figured my hair couldn’t look worse then it already did. When Randy looked at my hair he was very kind and didn’t laugh or judge but rather gave me suggestions on cute hair cuts he could do based on what he had to work with. I’m not a hair expert and I’m not one that goes into a salon on a monthly basis but Randy gave me such a cute and fun a-​line bob that I know I’ll have to go to him from now on. He was even thoughtful enough to call me the next day to offer tips on easy styling methods. I’m so happy with my new hair style! Thank you Randy!!!

Randy and I talked about how important Unilocal reviews are nowadays, so I figured I should show some support.
I just wanted a basic haircut, and he nailed it. He was very detail oriented, used the right tools for the job, and was a real professional. I’m also typically not one for chit chat during a cut, but he was easy to talk to and didn’t gab your ear off.
Overall, a very good haircut for a very reasonable price.

I had really thick waist length hair that was becoming a real burden but I was nervous about who to go to (both for their sake and mine).
I’ve been following Randy’s facebook and checking out his hair posts for over half a year. He obviously knows his stuff and everything he did looked great, but it what drew my attention was that there was an obvious passion for what he does. From what he posts and how he talks about it he takes pride in his skill-​set and truly cares about making his clients happy.
So I finally went into Chignon today. Nothing too fancy yet, just took a bunch of inches off and wanted it shaped and thinned out, which is exactly what he did.
I really liked how he checked in with me from the very start of the cut to assure that the length was good, and continued to check in throughout the rest of the session. He was careful, took his time, and was super chill about my obnoxious hair.
It came out looking great! He was always willing to take off or thin it out more until I was satisfied. I’ve lived in the area for about a year and I’m glad I finally found someone I can trust for all my hair needs! Yay!

Did the stupidest thing and tried cutting my own hair with an electric razor, the razor broke after I started and I ended up with pretty messed up hair. So i went to see Randy and he helped not only saved my hair but make it look way better than it was before. Pretty cool guy, I’m definitely coming back!

I met Randy Madden during a photo shoot we were both working on for a local boutique. We hit it off right away. His work was great so I asked him to come work on an editorial I was shooting. His car broke down on the way and actually had it towed to the location so he could be there! That is dedication.
A few months later I decided I wanted to dye my dark, dark brown hair orange. Of course Randy was the man for the job. He is known for doing a fantastic job with red and orange colors. Needless to say I couldn’t be happier. Although, the color change took a toll on my hair, Randy gave me a hair treatment that saved my hair. I couldn’t be happier.

Randy truly listens to what you want and is in tune with your vision for the style and look you are going for. Randy will give you his honest opinion about what will and will not look good for you, and once all is said and done, you will be left with a hot, fresh new look! Randy is awesome. Ask for him if you go to salon sessions. I have coarse, heavy Asian hair and I wanted to cut it short (which often looks poofy if not done right). I wanted a tousled lob with bangs. Randy listened attentively to what I wanted, gave me an honest opinion, explained how he’d cut it and was just a genuinely sweet person! Plus he took into consideration that I am super low maintenance with styling. He understood my hair texture (which not a lot of people do, surprisingly) and thinned out my hair without losing volume. I’m definitely going to come back! You rock, Randy!

the last post about randy is absolutely true– RANDY MADDEN… ask for him next time you schedule your hair appointment– he is AMAZING! I called salon sessions about 2 months ago to schedule a hair cut. I had never been so I looked up reviews on Unilocal,and saw really good ones of Randy– I had to see him. So so happy I did. He walks you through every step. We talked about what I wanted, he gave suggestions but was never pushy or imposing, and his work– awesome!
I was sold after that first session, so came in a month later to get the brazilian blowout– and again, he did an excellent job. He explained the process, and gave suggestions for making the treatment last longer. He was super METICULOUS… not cutting corners at all! The last time i got the Brazilian it was out in 2 weeks– awful, rushed job– but Randy took his time and I can definitely see the results– its been about a month and my hair looks like it was done yesterday!
He IS the man! I love finding an expert in their field and knowing without a doubt they are the one to go to– already recommended him to friends!

Randy is exactly what your looking for in a hairstylist. Not only does he have amazing skill but you’ll also enjoy yourself the whole time. No matter what kind of hair or what style cut or color you want he can execute it exactly how you want it. I am super picky about my hair been going to the same stylist since I was 2years old I’m now 25. I always ask for very difficult color and cuts and always have something of a challenge in mind for my hair. I went in to see randy because I had seen some of his work on Instagram and thought he would be able to do this difficult hair color I wanted. (I know how difficult because I went to beauty school) not only did my hair come out amazing but he styled it to perfection to really bring out my cut and I had a great time and enjoyed talking with randy. Randy is a people person and he cares and is easy to talk with and you feel like you’ve known him forever I would recommend him to EVERYBODY who wants to be satisfied when they leave a salon. I have curly/​wavy hair and sometimes I have a trouble figuring out what kind of style would look great with the kind of hair that I have. I usually get cuts from local barber shops but they can never get the style I’m looking for quite right. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Randy online and through the reviews from his customers at Salon Sessions so I decided to give him a try! Ive always wanted a modern 1940s crew cut so I brought a photo in and Randy said «No problem» and went right to it! While he was cutting my hair he gave me a lot of recommendations on what i can do with my hair to achieve the styles that i like. He is professional, proficient, and I can tell that he loves what he does. My crew cut was AMAZING! It was the first time that I ever felt truly satisfied about paying for a hair cut, I will definitely be coming back, your my new barber now bro! Thanks for everything!

I went to Randy after a referral from several friends and was SO pleased with what he did! He makes sure that as a client you are completely in the know with what he is about to do, what products he puts in your hair, etc. I felt completely at ease even though I had just met him and was trying something entirely new with my color. He also has a great attention to detail and thinks of hair as a venue for creativity, which I admire and love. I definitely recommend him to anyone that is in need of a cut, color or style!

Just as described by review before me Randy is AMAZING! I completely agree with the other girls. The salon is huge and the décor is so modern and well put together. Everyone there is also so nice. Now, onto the most important part of this review. RANDY. He did wonders on my hair. He asked me what I wanted and gave me everything I asked for and more. I had him ombré my hair but in a way that was still subtle and classy. He’s really great with hair and he’s so fun and easy to talk to. I really recommend you ladies and gents set up an appointment with him because I can guarantee that you won’t only get great service but you’ll also have a great time. He’ll also give you some pointers and tips on how to style your hair in a way that is more convenient and also will look good on you. Don’t hesitate to ask questions because Randy is the nicest guy ever. What are you still waiting for?! GIVE HIM A CALL!

Randy is an AMAZING hairstylist!
As soon as I walked into his salon, I was so shocked. It was the biggest and most beautiful salon I had ever seen! There was a little café area where you can get free water, coffee or tea while you are waiting for your appointment. The decorations in the salon and the huge mirrors and awesome chairs at each station also gave the place a great atmosphere. When I went to the chair with Randy, he made sure that we were both on the same page as to the same length he was going to cut it. After he initially cut it, he dyed it red, but when he blow-​dried it, we realized it was way too bright. He then put another gloss color on top to tone down the brightness and it came out perfectly! He definitely gives great attention to detail and always makes sure he gives his clients what they want. Another awesome thing was that while my hair color was setting in, my parking meter expired so he ran out there to put some more coins in for me. Such great customer service!
I am so happy with the way my hair came out and can’t wait to go back to him again. I would recommend him to anyone. Randy is awesome!!!
