Business Owner

As the owner and third generation dry cleaner, I started in the indusrty from very early on in my young teens. I have worked in every aspect of the businesss from spotting, pressing, finishing, and fixing the equipment. I have built a successful business with understanding not just what customer service and garment care is all about, but to keep up with industry regulations and mastered the use of environmentally green cleaning techniques and processes to enhance my business even to the next level in coming years. I remeber one of many instances, where I had to turn on the machines and save a wedding dress for a desperate bride who walked in to the store two hours before her wedding, because a glass of wine had spilled all over her dress, at a nearby hotel on one Sunday morning. This is what makes a dry cleaner more than just cleaning clothes. Knowing that I made a difference in someone’s day or life through my services and experience, is what keeps me going.

This is the only dry cleaner I trust with all of my dry cleaning needs. I am a designer and we do a lot of Slipcovers for sofa’s that costs thousands of dollars.
I trust this place because they do their own in house cleaning and I feel comfortable that the items will not be ruined. John is the owner and he is very gracious.
Hands down the best dry cleaning service.

One word… AVOID!!! I wish I could give this place of business even less then 1 star! I was trying to use a cleaners a little closer to my home and went in blind… I’ll NEVER do that again! I should’ve known after my first visit when I received my cleaning and they had left their «notes» tag on my blazer explaining how they were to clean and press it and under those instructions they had the word «Picky». Photo posted! I’ve been called worse but since that was my FIRST time using this particular cleaners, I’d expect a little higher standard first impression.
The second time I used this cleaners they LOST A SUIT I had dropped off and when contacted, not only did they deny losing it, they blamed us!!! Really?!? So we picked up over $ 400 in dry cleaning and you blame US for losing the suit! Worse then them losing the suit, their defensive and confrontational response proved to me that, not only HAVE they lost items in the past but that they don’t really care about the client. They are a «Customer DOESN’T come first» kind of business. They can’t handle the work load, the dry cleaning was mediocre at best and unfortunately their work ethic and attitudes are despicably atrocious!
I will sum up this review in the manner I began it. One word… AVOID!!!

Very disappointed in this establishment.
I came here because they were the only cleaner open for drop off on a Sunday and they would do next day availability. Ready for a long story?
Sunday: Waited in the parking lot for ten minutes for the store to open (even though they’re hours said they should have been open). Dropped off and revived a discount through Unilocal (that was cool). The lady that took my items was courteous and said to come back Monday for pick up.
Monday: parked in the first parking space, opened my door and WAHHHHMMM!!! There is some sort of rail in the parking space, which you would not be able to see when parking. Now I have a scratch/​dent on my door. Walked I. Told the gentleman and he said it was some sort of pillar for the building roof, they placed it there for now.
There was NO apology or collection of information whatsoever. Wow!
I took my blazers and then took photos of the marks and item (will post) then I left in anger and disbelief.
Tuesday: THE WORST! I put a blazer on and… It wasn’t even cleaned!!! Idk about you but when I’m running around outside in a full length (sleeve) blazer I sweat. The blazer smells of last weeks wear! Come on!!!
I thought thy may have ACCIDENTALLY forgot to wash this one because it wasn’t in the bad try provided, this one was on the outside. So I let it go until TODAY.
PRESENT DAY: I am getting ready for another big work week for of executive visits and client meetings and guess what I come across with the other TWO blazers? THEY TOO WERE NOT CLEANED!
I am highly disappointed and I don’t have time to get them cleaned before tomorrow at this point. I should have been able to trust the dry cleaners and not had to check them before leaving. Even if I did check them it probably wouldn’t be wise to allow them to clean anything.
Like they say «never send your food back, or they will spit in it» (which I hope servers don’t actually do that).
Worst experience:
1. Damaged car door
2. Items are not «clean»
3. Unacceptable and unreliable

Unreliable and unprofessional.
As a working professional, I expect a service business to at least adhere to its posted hours. Dropped off clothes on a Monday and indicated the need for next day pickup, as I legitimately would need the slacks and dress shirt for business meetings. Arrived the next day prior to the posted closing time of 10pm, around 9:47, only to find the lights off and all doors locked. Called and let the phone ring for about 30 seconds — it was loud enough that I could hear the phone ringing from outside. There was either nobody in the building, or they ignored the call.
I will be sharing this information with others and avoiding this business going forward.

If I could give them a 10 I would. They went so far above and beyond I literally cried. I arrived in town for an interview and realized that my suit was in no shape to wear for the next morning. It looked like i had packed it in a ball. I knew that if i ironed it myself i ran the risk of ruining it because of the material. Thankfully, we were able to find this cleaner right down the street and they said that if I could come quickly (it was 4:30pm) that they would go ahead and press it for me that day. When i arrived, we looked everything over and found a couple small spots on my pants that they said they would go ahead and steam for me. 5 minutes later… they bring out my suit! As i walk up to pay, they say «Just do well on your interview». I was so taken back by this generosity and kindness i just started crying. This business truly cares! Their employees totally rock! No matter the outcome of my interview, I will leave Pasadena with an experience I will take with me forever :)

The customer service is great. I dropped off my clothes for wash, fluff and fold. 3 of my white under shirts must have been washed the dark clothes because they were a grayish color. :(

I am new to the area and I first started going to Magic Cleaners across the street since I found a coupon on Unilocal.Today, I went there to get a zipper replaced and they said it would cost $ 18. Given that I will probably wear this $ 21.95 bustier top just once, I decided not to do it.
So I walked across the street to Round the Clock to see what they would quote me. The lady in the front was extremely generous and charged me nothing for it! She gave it to the seamstress and she was honest to say that it didn’t need to be replaced, just needed a little oil or something. She spent no more than 3 minutes on it but she could have easily asked me to come back the next day to pick it up and I wouldn’t know the differnce.
It’s little gestures like this that makes you want to go back and be a paying customer in return. So that’s what I intend to do.

The staff here makes my life easy. As a business traveller, sometimes I’m home for less than 24 hrs between trips and need a quick turn around on my dry cleaning. The staff has worked extra hard to accommodate my schedule so that I can pick up my clothes on the way to the airport in the morning. Further, they’re open awesome hours (running errands at 9:30pm is way more efficient than at 5pm) and are always super friendly. They treat our clothes well and take the initiative to fix issues like loose buttons. Great employees make a great business!

Love love love them! So happy I moved back to Altadena from Sierra Madre because it was a much further drive for me but I did it because I love them so much! Great service, always friendly and sweet. They do awesome repairs too — fast and so professional, just like new.

I recently went here to shorten sleeves a few dress shirts. The customer service was great when I dropped off. After I picked up shirts I tried on at home to find that the work was not completed at ALL on 3 of the shirts and the 4th shirt was done so unprofessionally that I am going to have to go to another place and hopefully it is not ruined. I got a refund on the tailoring but they would not refund the extra 15 I had paid for dry cleaning my other shirts despite wasting my time and potentially damaging an expensive irreplaceable shirt. I don’t like writing these negative reviews but I would hate this to happen to another customer.

I love this dry cleaners! They are totally awesome and affordable. I’ve gone to so many different places that haven’t done a great job or have even lost some of my clothing but this place is great. I always bring in my jackets and dresses and I’m always satisfied with not only their service but their customer service as well. The girl who works behind the register is super sweet and always has a smile every time I go in. I’ve never had any trouble or complaints for this place. Not only are they good, they are open pretty late for a dry cleaners which gives me time to get to them on my busiest days before I get home. I would definitely recommend and I will be sticking to them for the long run! Also their new location is great… WAY BIGGER!

This place has changed ownership more times that it is hard to keep up. Recently picked up an order w/​my mom and they ruined a suit jacket; seams and material that were fine when she brought them in, were suddenly torn. I green blouse of mine has some sort of discoloration on it. It looks like bleach, but I know it was there before. The discount is not worth the damage to my clothes.

I live close by and gave this place a chance a couple times. last time I went there was about 6 months ago. I gave them a shirt with a few stains. picked up the next day on a Sunday and the stains were ALL there. I told the guy apparently they just pressed the shirt and gave it back to me! He said we’re sorry we can give you credit since all machines are off on Sundays and we can’t do anything at the moment. I was pissed but not much could be done since the machines were off and I needed the shirt that night.
I didn’t want to write a review at the time because I figured people make mistakes and it wouldn’t be fair for me to write a negative review on someone’s business based on ONE mistake…
So I went back there yesterday to give them another chance this time with my suit and pants. Told them the suit really needs to be pressed and was told to pick items up the next day. Stopped by today to pick up and the suit was NOT EVEN TOUCHED! The same wrinkles at the same exact spots with the shoulders all effed up! Told the girl this is the second time they’re doing this and that I need my suit for a wedding! She apologized and offered to give me store credit! Store credit wouldn’t do me any good this time around since I’ll never be going back.
Do what people pay you to do; Being lazy, taking shortcuts and returning items almost untouched is not how you do this business.
This is the longest review I’ve ever written but I had to since I didn’t want others to go through what I did.
