The young midwestern guy who has come to our house twice to fix our dryer is just terrific. They offer everything you could hope for in home repair. They show up when they say they will, call in advance to warn if requested, fix the problem without trying to upsell anything. (For example the guy recommended a $ 30 part to repair our dishwasher rather than a replacement explaining that our older model was one of the «last good ones» before the motors got smaller and slower!) They handle it in a time-​efficient manner, and leave the place neat when done. The prices are very reasonable and fair, to boot. Cannot recommend this local business enough. Support them and keep your old appliances going instead of running to Sears!

Timely, honest, and easy to work work with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I had another appliance service come out and fix my dryer. In 30 minutes. He was amazed that the Spencer Service technician couldn’t fix it because it’s a very typical problem with older dryers.

Just called to ask a question about my oven. He was honest and let me know that he does not service my brand because the parts take a long time to order. I appreciated his honesty and not wasting my time. I will call back if I have another appliance that has issues.

My washer wasn’t spinning. EZ appliance repair replaced two control boards (motor board and machine board). The problem seemed to go away for a few months or so, but came back. I called them back and they said it was the same problem… I called Spencer service for a second opinion and they came out the same day.
Turns out it was just a broken wire. The technician, who is also named greg, said this is a common problem, frigidaire was tightening zip ties too tight, and the wire would break inside of the plastic covering.
I spent over $ 400 replacing computer chips, when it was only a $ 100 repair, with no parts needed, and no wait time on ordered parts.
Spencer service is now my go to company!!!

Very disappointed. I like local business because they are more accessible and reliable. Called for appointment was given 4 hour window. Called to confirm within the window and was told still on schedule. 40min past the window called back to check on status, was told he should have been there. Well I guess not. Instead the office calls me back, the service tech calls me and said the one prior to my appointment took longer and how he had a problem with the case and he is only 1hour late — so I should make myself available right? Well, all it takes is a simple call to either your office or me and it would be fine. I had used them before and would give them the business. But I guess my business is not important enough for them to give a simple courtesy call.

If I could give no stars I would.
On their intial visit, the guy was late. I don’t mean a few minutes late; he was late almost 2 hours. I never received a courtesy call or notice of any sort when this happened, and in fact I called the company itself when it hit half an hour past his 4-​hour window to visit my house. They told me he was accidentally overbooked that day but he would be coming «soon». Little did I know that «soon» meant at least another hour later. Regardless, the guy came, seemed to know his stuff, and was friendly and assuring so I let it go– stuff happens, right? He said they would call as soon as they found a replacement part.
Fast forward well over a month later (that’s correct; the first visit was at the end of September, and the call came from them the week of Thanksgiving) and they finally said someone would come and fix things. I was really looking forward to a working stove again. Guess who didn’t show up within the 4-​hour window? Guess who didn’t show up in the hour after? I called their company and got only the answering machine, and this was well within their company hours. I was beyond upset because 1) I’d waited this long, patiently; 2) I’d wasted more than 6 hours of this day simply sitting at home waiting when I had errands to do; 3) I again never got any kind of courtesy call regarding the expected visit.
I am not kidding, this is the worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. And I’ve been at some horrible Denny’s before.

Great service from Greg. My washing machine was suffering from a case of broken drain pump, and Dr. Greg had that thing replaced in less than 30 minutes. Very professional. I’d call them again in a heartbeat.

Our refrigerator stopped working and Michelle sent Greg within few hours. Greg diagnosed the problem and stated he needed to order the part as it wasn’t in stock. He realized how disappointed I was abs went and picked it up and came back. I had a working refrigerator within few hours.
Customer service and cost was fantastic! Greg was awesome!

We have been using them off and on for about 15 years. Mostly washing machine repair. They know their stuff and they are honest and reasonable. They can get busy and the 4 hour time frame in which they show up can be a bummer but they are worth the wait.

Man, these guys are awesome. I called them on Monday with a fridge problem. The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and we had a very nice exchange in setting up the appointment. Technician Guy (his name is Guy and he was awesome) came out Weds (they offered to come out on Tuesday) only a few minutes after he was scheduled to arrive and assessed everything. Explained the situation in detail and gave me the best case to worst case scenario. He left to order the parts we needed. They called me the NEXT DAY to say the parts arrived and that they could come back out on Friday. Guy showed up at 9:56 am (appointment «window» was 10 – 2 pm). Brought parts that he thought «might» be the problem just in case he needed them. Ended up that he didn’t need everything and we came in at around half of the worst case scenario. Even gave me a little tutorial on changing the filter and the controls. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Spencer Service again.

I love Spencer Service! Guy Knows everything possible about appliances! He is Quick and honest! Ive been using Spencer’s for 10 years and never had any complaints! So thankful for them. Very fair prices as well!!!

The agitator dogs on my 17-​year-​old Whirlpool went out. Spencer’s came out right on time and replaced them in 10 minutes. Whew! Now I don’t have to spend $ 800 + on a new washing machine.
We have used Spencer Service several times over the years. They have always been top notch.
Also, I adore the receptionist who was nothing but helpful when I placed my call.

Dishwasher quit working. Looked like switch. These guys came right on time, diagnosed the problem (two relays), replaced the bad parts, left me the old ones. Has worked fine since.
$ 70 for service call and $ 50 for two small parts (seems a bit pricey) but very happy with the result.

I called Spencer after a poor job buy ARC/​USA (see review)…Fixed the real problem… mouse ate through the hose… fast, reliable, reasonable… recommended.

It has been countless times that I have benefited from Unilocal reviews that I decided to create an account and write reviews to testify outstanding experiences I had with businesses.
My first review goes to Spencer Service. I just want to commend Spencer Service’s staff for being on top of their game and for being so helpful, honest and knowledgeable. It’s such a breath of fresh air when talking to someone who knows what they’re doing. I was already losing hope to find someone to repair my foreign brand refrigerator. I have called about roughly 10 appliance repair contractors and had been turned down on all occasions because they don’t repair the brand I have. The lady I spoke to was the only person who spent 1 sec to tell me a number of who does. Life Saver! I called the number, scheduled the service and had my refrigerator fixed the same day.

This company feels like the best kept secret in the San Gabriel valley! Have had them do small repair on fridge and bought and installed wall oven. MUCH less than other places we checked out AND great service!

I DID NOT USE THIS COMPANY, ONLY CALLED THEM. I DID NOT LIKE THE PERSON ON THE PHONE. so their actual service may be good according to the reviews. DON’T let this stop you. call them to see what they can do.
My mother called me and asked me to find her someone to replace the washer at her house because it was rocking around and making a lot of rumbling noise.
Seeing that there were three 5 star reviews on Unilocal I gave them a call. I was greeted by a woman on the other end of the phone who asked me «Where’s the house», «what brand», «how old is it» and «what’s the problem»
She then tells me that she can have someone there between 8:00am-12:00pm. I asked if there were any other time available or weekends, she said no and that they only have someone in that area tomorrow between the hours of 8:00am-12:00pm.
Now I understand the weekend thing, but you can’t send someone to the place after 12:00pm. You can’t even suggest sometime in the afternoon next week? I would’ve kept asking for any other possible times next week or the week after next since it’s not like leaking or anything. but the way this woman was talking sounded like she was busy filing her nails (she just wasn’t really motivated for new business)
My mother only works from 9am-​12pm daily so it’s not like she can’t be home most of the day waiting for repair people, but we’ve been used to the picking 8am-​12pm or 1pm-​5pm.
Someone needs to teach this lady to give options and not just give potential customers away by going the «take it or leave it» route

My gas dryer wasn’t heating up, but one call to Spencer Service and a friendly young man came out the same day and fixed my dryer for a reasonable price. He was in and out within 30 minutes. Now i have fluffy, warm towels to use instead of hard, sandpaper-​like towels because i had to hang dry them. I should have called sooner.
Spencer Service is the best.

Been using Spencer Service for several years. Best service in town. Last month my range broke, one call to Spencer and the next morning the service tech came to my house with the part in hand! 30 minutes later problem fixed. This is the same story when my gas dryer broke.
I have used other appliance services and each time the rep came and had to return with a part.
