I moved to Pasadena in 2010 after buying Tip Top from a family member and I instantly fell in love with the town and the people. Is there anyone who doesn’t? I feel it is a great honour and responsibility being entrusted with Tip Top dry cleaners in Pasadena, which has been family owned since 1947. I have an acute eye for detail and an appreciation for the little things that might typically go unnoticed. Pasadena is filled with these beautiful little things that please us OCD types. Coming from Seattle, a birthplace of the environmental movement, I’ve made it a priority to ensure Tip Top has a small environmental footprint. Also, feel free to ask me for advice on classic dressing, the latest fashion trends, what’s happening in Pasadena, and golf — expect a quick chat about your tee-​offs if you bring in your golf gear!

I was skeptical of eco cleaning for my absolutely disgustingly filthy sweaters, but they are like new again! Very fast turnaround time and they text you when your items are ready for pick-​up. Easy parking, same lot as Pavilions.

With just one day before my trip, I found a maxi dress that I just HAD to bring with me but was a bit too long. Thus ensued my quest to find affordable same day alterations. After calling seven different places in the Pasadena area, I finally decided to go to Tip Top Cleaners. They were able to alter my dress in about an hour. The total came out to $ 20. I have to admit it’s still more expensive than I would have liked since I usually hem my own pants and dresses so I know it’s not that much work. But given my time crunch, I reluctantly accepted that I would have to pay a premium for the same day service. That said, there was another place that would have charged double for the same work. This place is also close to my home, so I didn’t have to waste more time driving somewhere else to save some money.

Nice people. Good service. Too expensive. Even though they’re right by my office (same block and on the same side of the street), after a couple of years of flinching every time I got my bill, looked on Unilocal for another cleaner. Now I go to Green Street Cleaners and I still get nice people and good service, plus a fair price!

I planned poorly and needed the sleeves on a suit jacket hemmed up on short notice. I came in Tuesday morning and it was done by late Wednesday morning. Turn around was quick, staff was very friendly, price was reasonable. I am a happy customer.

First off the lady at this location can’t work the computer. Couldn’t set my phone up to receive a text when my shirt was to be ready. She said they would call me. Then after almost a week she finally calls me. Man at this location told me my shirt was faded before I brought it in when in fact it wasn’t.
Bottom line got my shirt faded for an overpriced service that was subpar.

We took my wife’s dress that she was altering in preparation for our vow renewals ceremony and I took some pants to be hemmed. The work was great, but even better was «Annie» who is the sweetest woman, very helpful and made us feel great about the entire process. Definitely a place where you can take your clothes with piece of mind.

I am new to the area and found this establishment on Unilocal.I love how TipTop will either text you or email you to inform you that your clothes are ready. I am not someone who likes to hold onto pieces of paper and I like their paperless system. The lady who assisted me was very nice and helpful as well. The establishment is very clean and organized instead of other dry cleaners where clothes are scattered everywhere. I will be coming back with my regular dry cleaning.

I needed THREE dresses altered in two days– nothing too crazy… one hemmed, one needed the straps shortened and one i needed bra cups sewn in and steamed. They were all done with time to spare! If you need a last minute alteration and want to talk with some very nice ladies, go here! I will be back!

I always get my dry cleaning done here. It’s close to where I live and they do a really good job. I’ve never had any problems and I like them more, and think their prices are better, than another dry cleaner in the area. I very much appreciate the Unilocal check-​in discount as well. I usually bring dresses in and the price varies from $ 10-​$ 12.

Is it too much to ask for you to put the seamstress’s hours on the website? Good lord, I went to 3 different places where the seamstress had «just left». Huge inconvenience and waste of my time.

Best service around!
I forgot to pick up my dry cleaning over the weekend for a trip out of town early Monday. I messaged the owner on Unilocal with my situation. They were closed, but she was kind enough to open the doors the next morning so that I could pick my clothes! I’m so grateful for her generosity.
On top of that, they do a careful job with the cleaning and offer same day service, all at a competitive rate. I highly recommend Tip Top Cleaners!

Great cleanliness and respect for the shop, hardly anybody has the shop as well keep as them. Both ladies in the shop are really willing to help. Their are very very friendly in nature. They have tremendous passion for what they do and are very good at what they do. I went in to interview them for a class project I’m working on related to tailoring in which I had to observe and interview them. They were totally with it and willing to help. I wear dress shirts, jeans and other good types of clothing on a daily basis so I will be going to them from now on and will send my classmates, instructors, and faculty when someones needs something done!!!

After 11 years of marriage, I finally decided to have my wedding dress cleaned and boxed. I wore it for the big day in 2003 and then for a Las Vegas themed gala event with my husband last April. It was definitely dirty and I was nervous to have it cleaned because of all the detail on it. The bottom of it was really stained and it had a stain on the very front satin part. It is a strapless dress and the top of it was pretty dirty too, especially in the inside area.
I researched several locations and came in and spoke with Seda at Tip Top. She made me feel very comfortable. I came back today to take pictures with my newly-​cleaned dress. I cannot believe how beautiful it looks. It appears brand new. They did a fabulous job on it and were very careful not to damage it. Both Seda and Anoosh helped me photograph it and now they are going to box it. I would recommend Tip Top to anyone for this service. They are great for everything else too.

Great job! My wedding was 18 months ago and I finally got around to cleaning my dress. My dress was heavily beaded, super delicate and somehow got weird stains from storing it my closet. My dress was completely cleaned, no stains and small tears at the bottom of my dress were repaired. The service is a tad costly but if you are going to spend a lot on a dress, you should take care of it afterwards. It is on par with other wedding dress cleaners. My dress and veil were stored with special tissue paper in a giant box and sealed shut. Should I get curious down the road, the inner box has a view window. Super happy with the service! Park behind the Lake St side in a Vons parking lot and there is a back door from there.

Great Cleaners!
After reading all the poor reviews about the cleaners in San Marino I decided to drive a bit further and try Tip Top, and it was worth it! They do alterations as well as cleaning here so that’s legit. If you are walking in from the sidewalk on Lake Street and you go in that entrance you will be in the alterations area so you need to walk on to the back for the cleaning area. The lady and man who helped me were awesome! They were very nice and honored the coupons I printed out from their website since I was a first time customer. That saved me a good amount of money!
I had 7 items, dresses, coats, shirts and a collared shirt that my grandpa had stained with olive oil. All this was around $ 50 to clean with the discount and they did a great job! My clothes smell fresh and look great, and my gpa’s shirt has no trace of the olive oil stain. The clothes were done in two days too! Very nice place, although parking can be kind of crazy but I’d recommend Tip Top =)
