Specializing in obedience training of the family dog and also stock dog training on cattle. I also raise and train registered McNabs puppies and dogs. Have been raising McNabs since 1973. I also specialize in catching and gathering hard to handle livestock as well as livestock transportation locally.

History

Established in 1985.

I have been training all breeds of dogs for the public for basic obedience as well as training working stock dogs for over 30 years. I also have raised registered McNabs since 1973. I sell between 30 – 40 puppies a year as well as older trained McNabs working livestock.

I have been a rancher and cowboy my whole life working on ranches all over the western U.S. With my McNab dogs I have acquired a reputation of catching unmanageable livestock. My wife and I own and operate a modest herd of Angus cattle in the San Miguel CA. area.

Born 4÷24÷48, I was raised on a Hereford ranch in Washington state. During my adolescent years I began training dogs and horses at age 12. I completed high school and graduated in 1966. I completed two years of college, and also obtained my Real Estate License in 1968. I continued training horses and dogs for the neighboring ranches.1964−1970 Trained horses/​dogs and assisted in ranch duties on my father’s ranch.

1970 – 1975 Purchased a ranch in Butte Falls, Oregon. I ran 125 cows on private and forest service and BLM ground. I continued to train horses/​dogs throughout the Medford area and Jackson county.

1975 – 1980 Leased my ranch and went to work for Jerry Maltby on the 4000 acre «Broken Box Ranch», Alturas CA. running 550 commercial cows and 125 registered cows. Still training dogs and horses.

1976 I graduated Curtis Breeding School as an Artificial Insemination Technician, and certified to palpate cattle for pregnancy.
