Amazing service by Ron. I pulled my SUV up with a reading that all my tires were low. It’s been below 0* for a few days, but better safe than sorry! The waiting room has a TV and toys to keep your little ones busy, and complimentary coffee drinks from a fancy machine for the grown ups… hot chocolate for the little ones too! I was in and out in under 15 minutes with a simple tire inspection and psi top off. Thanks for taking care of me on a cold day!!!

Their prices are higher than the competition, though they will match if asked, but what annoys me about these guys is the lack of honesty and failure to do things right the first time. My wife took her car there to get two new tires. They were replacing the front tires, so they were to be rotated to the back. The manual states to cross rotate the rears to the front on a Front Wheel Drive car, and that’s what we asked them to do. Because I know these places are incompetent and lie, I actually painted dots on the two left tires so I knew which was which. Of course, the untrained moron didn’t do as he was told, and didn’t do what ANY tire professional, with a modicum of experience and knowledge would’ve done. But what annoys me the most is he lied about it, and, when sent back a second time, LIED AGAIN! There is just no excuse for it. Additionally, don’t bother requesting an estimate on their site. They don’t bother responding.

Always amazing service, always professional. I have taken my cars to them for years, for brakes and tires. I’m especially grateful when I have emergency repairs, they take a look and fix the issue without an appointment if they can. Great management and a pleasure to get service from them.

When I moved to the area I started with oil changes for my old car there and never looked back! Last week my brakes went on 114 and, I had the car towed there. When they had a chance to look at it, the repairs would have been very expensive. THEY told me I should not invest the money in this old car — it was not worth it. They could have just made the repairs, charged me a lot and seen the car in a few weeks. I LOVE honest car shops… and, yes, I am buying a new car.

These guys took care of me when I was in a jam, and without an appointment, twice.
The first time I needed a new tire after blowing out a sidewall, courtesy of an early-​Spring pothole (all too common in New England). The second time was a partial flat due to a nail.
This Team is friendly and courteous. At least once, too, I’ve seen them listen and respond patiently and professionally to an accusatory customer who later turned out to be at fault himself.
I’ve found this outfit to be a class act and I hope that you do too.

I purchased a deal for Direct Tire from Living Social ($ 150 for $ 300 toward new tires). I redeemed my coupon at the Peabody location.
All of the employees were extremely friendly, knowable and professional. They honored my Living Social deal immediately and had me up and running with new tires (and an oil change) in under 3 hours.
The store itself has free Wifi and a comfortable waiting area.
The only reason I am not giving this location a perfect rating is because when I came in for my first scheduled appointment, the tires ordered were not the correct ones. I would have assumed that a tire reseller would know exactly what make of a 15 inch tire a MINI Cooper requires but one little mistake in the grand scheme of things is nothing :)

Absolutely amazing! I bought a new car and realized my old winter tires wouldn’t fit the new one. They stayed open late to put the new ones on because a winter storm was coming the next day. It’s so rare to see customer service and accommodation like this these days. Thank you Barry and Mike!

I’m kind of surprised at the number of negative reviews here. I began going to Direct Tire a few years (and cars) ago, after my husband had a nightmare experience with Town Fair Tire. Every time I go, they are friendly, welcoming, professional, and fair. I picked up a nail in my tire this past weekend and even though my husband could’ve patched it up, I opted to do it the right way. I called Direct Tire and they were able to fix it for me for just $ 25, had it completed within an hour, didn’t scoff when I couldn’t get there until 5:45-ish (15 minutes before they closed) and they took the time to reinstall the repaired tire for me. I’ll continue to give them my business.

I stopped by here yesterday with a slow leak in my tire due to a screw that was imbedded in my tire.
I had driven to a wedding in Peabody on the tire and found this place on my way to the reception. There were two men staffing the front desk and it was near closing time but they were happy to help me.
They quickly fixed my tire, told me there was no charge, and told me to have a great time at the wedding reception.
This has restored my faith in the kindness of people. Great guys! Great service!

I had an issue with my tire on my Viper. I brought the car here because they were referred. They took care if the car and were very careful. Awesome service. Will bring my others cars here.

My husband and I have been bringing our cars to Direct Tire in Peabody for a few years now and will be life long customers. Each and every time we speak to Bob, Peter or Ron on the phone or in person we are blown away by how much they show they care about having our business. They continue to astonish us with their honesty, true concern for our welfare, and respect. There have been a couple times we’ve heard a sound and brought it in for them to check it out. TWICE they could have made something up and charged us for something stupid and we would have been none the wiser. And TWICE they told us what it COULD be, but that it wasn’t 100% reproducing as that problem, they’d rather not charge us to fix it unless they’re sure. THAT is the sign of a very rare and very good auto shop, when the customer is asking them, «is this sound bad? is something wrong?» and they don’t take advantage. They always level with us too in if the fix is something the car really needs or if its something that will be completely safe to drive on and is just up to us if we don’t want to hear that clicking anymore. I trust these guys so much and after a slew of bad interactions with seemingly dishonest auto repair shops, I can easily say I’d recommend all my friends and family to these guys. They ARE the BEST. Thank you!

I had my car looked at so I would get a better idea as to what specific problem I had. They diagnosed it perfectly, and quickly. I’ve been coming here for a while, and even though the prices may be a bit higher than other places, the saying «you get what you pay for» goes a long way here as you’ll get top quality and service.

I went for a routine oil change and was advised that I needed mechanical work done. I was advised by the mechanic to make an appointment as soon as possible. Instead of making an appointment, I decided to bring my vehicle to two different mechanics to get their opinion. Both mechanics told me that my car was in great condition – no work needed. I am appalled that mechanics at Direct Tire would lie just to make a buck. I understand they are working on commission; however, every customer deserves to be told the truth about their vehicle. I’ll never return! I now understand how they can offer free wi-​fi, free coffee and free rental cars since they recommend unnecessary repairs.

Friendly service and prices are so much more reasonable than the dealership. Plus, the underwrite on WBUR (the Boston NPR station) and I like to reward them for that.

Made an appointment for a frontend alighnment, Showed up that day. They took the car right in, Did the alignment. Got me right out
They didn’t try to sell me anything extra. Now that’s good service.
