I was in so much pain from moving and Nikki gave me a massage and told me I needed to see a chiropractor… well needless to say I have not needed to because was totally pain free after my massage! Thank you Nikki, best massage ever!

Karen at Lux was the best! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her today. I typically don’t enjoy having my hair «done», but I did today. I’ve had my hair foiled everywhere and she did exactly what I was looking for. Most times colorist have damaged my hair and over processed– Karen did just the opposite! After my hair was complete she even made extra time for my kiddos! I can’t say enough– thanks Karen!

She’s amazing at what she does and I will never go to anyone else!

Had a fantastic experience at Luxe in Pearland with Iris! New to town, having moved from Montrose, and was missing my salon in town but hated driving in (I know, not that far, but with a little one at home, every minute away is precious)! Found Luxe on Unilocal,pretty close to our house and with good reviews– they were right! They were able to fit me in that day, and Iris was absolutely amazing. I came with photos of what I had in mine, and she totally listened and honored that while also offering gentle suggestions on slight tweaks that would work best with my hair and maintenance requirements. She was also incredibly nice and went out of her way to pamper me– extra conditioning treatment, glass of champagne, the works! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Pearland area– it exceeded my expectations and matched my experiences at much more «posh», expensive salons in the loop. I’ll definitely be back!

Kari does my hair and she is AMAZING! I followed her here from another salon. I’d honestly follow her anywhere. She’s that good. My hair is thin and if you have thinner hair she’s perfect for you! Yes it’s pricy, but you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a cheap cut go to great clips.

I love my hair! Iris is amazing she knows how to work with curly, wavy, straight crazy hair like mine! It looks good straightened and left to curl naturally with product.

Such an unpleasant experience at Luxe yesterday. I took my son for a haircut with Carrie. Haircuts are listed as $ 15 for kids, when I went to pay the receptionist asked Carrie how much to charge me and she literally made up the price on the spot (as in taking a moment to think it over with a finger in her chin) and finally came up with $ 25. I asked why and was told his was an «extreme haircut.» His cut was short on the sides and back while a little longer on top, the very opposite of an extreme. Then she explained that its because he went from «long to short, so it’s a lot of work.» This was the second time she cut his hair, the last time was a month ago and the length was the same (again typical boy cut) so I don’t know if price is measured by centimeters or what. Since she hiked the price since last month it would be nice to mention it ahead of time. I paid $ 29 with tip but definitely won’t go back there again because I prefer honest businesses. If you do go I suggest Alison, she is nice and charges the advertised price.
For the salon itself, the décor is cute, people are fine, but it’s definitely not a high end spot. The girls loudly bitch about and make fun of the manager. They are especially scandalized about having to sweep the white floors, mimicking what the manager sounds like when the floors are dirty. I mean fine, make fun of the boss, but I don’t want to hear it while you’re jacking up my price. Learn to be discrete people.

I’ve lived in west Pearland for 10 yrs and have tried nearly every salon! Luxe surpasses every one in many ways. Firstly, the management (Yvette) and staff are like a family of friendly, caring, competent and talented gals who make you feel at home. I show up with no makeup and flip flops and come out feeling like a million dollar movie star (still in flip flops!) lol!
I had acne for years and was left with scars and discoloration. Yvette’s deep facials have really improved my skin’s texture and color. Anh did a fab job on my ruined hair from a prima donna at his west side salon… Also since I turned 50 my fine hair has really thinned. I have a triple crown in back and it’s a challenge; Anh has made it disappear!
I love love love Luxe! It’s my luxury.

I really liked my experience at Luxe but I don’t like how they handle their pricing.
In my experience, if you’re getting a full color and highlights, you’re not charged on top of that for a haircut. I know, I know, I shouldn’t assume but I’ve honestly never been charged this way and I’ve been «blonde» for over 10 years…
Imagine my surprise at checkout when they rang me up for the color, highlights, and $ 55 more for the haircut! Wow! What to do? I paid of course and tipped on the charged amount. Anh even said this was a special price. I know I’m new around here but geez!
Maybe it’s because she takes so long? My girl in Conroe had me in and out in two hours. This visit was THREE. Pick up the pace and let’s lower those prices.
So, buyer beware. Get the FULL quote before you get started.

Very very pretty salon! They seem to have it all here, yet I have only gotten my hair done by Sharon, who is fab! Very reasonably priced with great service!

I’ve been here three times since we moved last year and have loved my haircut every time. Prices are affordable, easy to schedule an appointment and pleasant environment. Sharon was great! I’ll be coming back again soon.

Not okay. I called and left a message when they were closed to book an appointment. No one called me back the next day. So I called them back again when they were open to book it and asked how much it would be. They couldn’t tell me because they said the stylist wasn’t in and said they would call me back the next day letting me know. I went ahead and booked anyway. No one called me the next day to let me know how much it was. So I called them having to reschedule the appointment anyway. They said the stylist wasn’t in and would have to call me back the next day to let me know when she could reschedule it to. No one called. Again. So I called the next day-​the day of my supposed appointment-​to cancel. I refuse to go to a place with that horrible of customer service before I even walk in the door! A salon that really wanted new customers would try harder, in my opinion.

She’s patient and she wants the job to be done right. And she proved that point when she cut my hair today.
I’ve lost hope in getting my hair «professionally» cut/​trimmed/​layered when the last 3 – 4 times were all disasters. She has given me back that confidence in letting someone cut off my hair that I’ve patiently grown out for years.
She didn’t rush, she asked me questions after some fine tuning and made sure I double checked that what she did was what I wanted. She kept in mind what my idea and vision was even with my poor instructions. :P
Her prices are reasonable and affordable, (especially for someone like me with really long thick hair) most places charge extra for longer hair. She doesn’t. :)

Our family was transferred to Houston from Austin recently and I needed to find a new salon. I did some searching and read reviews and decided to try this salon out. I also decided to take my girls since I had not gotten their back to school cuts yet. I made all three of us appointments on a Saturday. My oldest and myself had appointments with Anh and I cannot recall who my youngest had an appointment with, but I want to say hers was the first station on the right as you walk in.
So, I get my hair first. I have thin and naturally curly hair and this Houston humidity is killing me, but on the odd chance the weather cooperates, I want a haircut which looks good straight also. Anh did a great job on my new do.
My oldest, who is 12 had been growing her hair out all summer and I wanted a haircut for her that would look good, but also not involve a lot of work to get that way as she is at the age where she is just starting to do it all herself. We all finally decided on a great cut for her thick hair, her hair looked fantastic. Another plus for Anh.
My youngest, who is only 8 has thin, long, straight hair with bangs. I told the stylist, I just wanted to trim a few inches off and clean up the bangs. Hers was the easiest of the three. It also looked nice, but there was also not much to do on her hair.
When it came time to check out, I was completely shocked when they told me the bill was $ 135. I asked why it was so much as I had read the prices before even making the appointments. According to their pricelist, a children’s (aged 12 and under) is only $ 15 and then a girls haircut with blowdry is $ 25. My hair was the only one correct at $ 55. So, I reminded the receptionist my daughters are only 12 and 8 and then she had to consult with the stylist, which she only consulted Anh, not the one who cut my youngest. Anh did lower my 12 year olds down to $ 30, but said the complexity of the cut reflected the cost. I was okay with this. When I asked about the charges for my 8 year old (remember her stylist was not consulted), she said the extra charge was for blow-​drying. OUCH! $ 10 difference for blowdrying her already straight, thin hair which would of dried in a few minutes on its own?!? Ludicrous!
Now, remember, I told them we were new to the area when I made the appointment and it was mentioned to the stylist and the receptionist upon check in. There was a cilpboard on the counter for new clients to fill out, but not once was I asked to complete anything, nor was I asked about scheduling my next appointment. I guess this means they do not want my future business. I suppose I’m okay with this because I felt like they swindled a newcomer, especially for my kids haircuts, but I would have gone back for my own personal services and progressively added my daughters as they got older.
Too bad for them, but I don’t think I will even be going back.

I am new to the area and decided to try out this salon. I booked a facial and shellac manicure. The manicure was not quite what I was expecting, I was thinking I’d get a regular manicure and then shellac polish, but it was really just a shellac polishing. I was glad I had pre-​done my nails before hand (filed, shaped, trimmed cuticles).
The facial was wonderful though. Probably one of the best facials I have ever had, they didn’t try to tell me I was using the wrong products and didn’t try to make me feel bad about my problem areas. I know some places do that because they think it helps increase their business, but it does not work on me. If I leave somewhere feeling bad about myself I’m not going back. Yvette did a good job of telling me what she was doing and explaining and giving me options. My skin looks good and I will definitely be back in the future.
Overall: Great place for facials, and looks like a great hair salon, I’ll keep going to my regular nail salon.

I waited 40 minutes to get my eyebrow threaded and there was ONE person ahead of me, and when it was my turn a lady with an appointment went ahead of me. I understand how appointments work but the receptionist could of told me that there were two other people with appointments that will go before me. While I was waiting there was a guy waiting for 10 minutes for his appointment because the receptionist «didn’t see him» she was siting right in front of him!!! Anyways the only reason I went there was for Saba but she’s no longer there.

Just had a great first experience at Luxe. Was a little nervous when I called, because the receptionist seemed to have trouble hearing me, but I got an appointment easily. When I got there they were very nice.
Anh was amazing, she listened really well and was super clear about her idea. I have extremely curly thick hair, but she handled it no problem and did an awesome cut and style that’s easy to live with. She even told me the best ways to do it myself at home.
Overall service was great, price was fair and the place was clean and comfortable. The only thing was it’s kind of dark and the music was a little strange. I’ll definitely be back.

I will admit that I am a pretty picky woman when it comes to salons. I am quite the perfectionist and a bit of a snob. I was thrilled, after moving out of the inner city into Pearland, to find a hip salon like Luxe. The salon itself is absolutely adorable. The women at the front were so nice and helpful that I ended up getting brow threading, and mani and pedi even though I just went into to get a brochure.
I sat down first with the threader, she explained to me everything she was doing and talked to me about her facials. I am not a fan of facials but I was willing to give it a try pending the results of my first visit. I was only sitting in the chair for a few moments before I was offered some water but I was a little confused when a woman walked past me, wearing a robe clearly getting her hair dyed, and said «we will be right with you.» I thought, how strange that a customer would tell me that they would be right with me. The threading was lighting fast and pretty good. I have been lucky in that I have never had a botched threading job (knock on wood).
After the threading I went and sat down with who I took to be the makeup artist. I say this because she had been doing a woman’s makeup when I walked in… I picked out a very pale and neutral OPI color, seemingly much to the dismay of the manicurist but this didn’t bother me a bit, they are my nails! I sat down with her and started making small talk, she was very sweet and personable. As she started painting my nails she even complimented me on how pretty and healthy my natural nails were and began to like my nail color choice. I really did like her.
Now here is where they start to lose me… The threading lady came up to the other manicurist doing my mother’s nails and asked if she could borrow her straightener. I know, not a huge deal, but when I asked if the manicurist also did hair, my manicurist said, «well she really does hair and just helps me out with nails sometimes.» I then noticed that the «customer» getting her hair colored was actually at this point sitting in a chair and doing her own hair. Turns out she was NOT a customer… I believe she was an owner if I remember correctly. I then asked my manicurist if she did makeup and she replied, «no that was just a friend of mine.» This certainly was not something I was used to. The salon seemed like more of a girls «primping party» than a professional salon. I was however, willing to overlook this since everyone was so nice and the salon was so cute and hip.
This is where they lost me COMPLETELY!!! Like I said, I picked out a very pale neutral OPI color for my hands and feet. My mother picked out a white Shellac for her nails. Her manicure was pretty bad. The shellac was thick and bubbly, It really was the worst shellac job I had ever experienced. I tried to advocate the salon by telling my mom that she wasn’t the normal manicurist and that next time she will just have to ask for my girl. When I got out into the light I noticed some definite imperfections with my manicure but I shrugged it off knowing that I am a bit pickier than the average woman. It was pale color, I could deal with it.
About 4 days later, I decided to take the polish off at home, as it was starting to grow out. As soon as I took the polish off, horror insued. My nails were stained the most shocking hue of yellow I have EVER seen. My toes and nails look terrifying! I saw her use base coat and like I said the color was so pale that I have no idea how this could have happened. They are so yellow in fact that I went one day without repainting them and 4 people came up to me to tell me that I may have a LIVER DISORDER!!! I even went to get checked out by my doctor thinking that it couldn’t possibly be staining from this mani pedi. Turns out my nails really are just stained by their products.
It has been a month now since that mani/​pedi. I have tried numerous whitening «tricks» to no avail. My nails at this point are ruined until they grow out and I am pretty sick about it. I do realize that the manicurist is not completely to blame but there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with their products!!! I will never go back there again!
All in all, my bad review is for both the unprofessionalism in the salon and the inferior products that have ruined my nails until they grow out. Alas, the salon is new, and clearly not ept to the stiff competition a few miles away (in the city). They have potential to be a success if they boost their professionalism and maybe revamp their products. I wish them well… but first impressions are everything in that business. They certainly lost a client.
PS. My mother’s shellac manicure started chipping the very next day :/…Definitely a sign of inferior products.

So excited to have found Saba (formerly of Aisha’s) while waiting in line at Starbucks! Café Au FATE! I really have enjoyed visiting Luxe Salon, totally a pampered, posh feeling while getting services. The friendly vibe of the team at Luxe really is a wonderful and refreshing change from some other «upscale» salons.
Make sure to book your appt with Saba as she is becoming popular in her new home! With holiday season around the corner, i’m sure this salon is going to become even more in demand.
update: i have since had an amazing glycolic facial with Saba and am very pleased. she explained with great detail every step she made. did not feel rushed… Saba is very genuine in her concern and care for your beauty needs. love love love!
