I had a palm tree growing in a planter against the fence separating my backyard from my next door neighbor. I got about 7 bids, at least 2 informed me they wouldn’t even do it, and most of the others seemed unsure about doing, said they couldn’t grind out the stump, or gave other excuses. Doug came by, said it wouldn’t be a problem, and also gave the lowest bid. The day he came to do the work, they got the tree down, then when they started grinding the stump, the grinder hit something and the teeth broke. Because of this, they needed to come back. Once they got the grinder repaired, they came back to complete the work. Once they started grinding, it again hit something and broke the teeth again. At that point it was discovered the tree had grown over a piece of metal, most likely an old post from a chain link fence. At that point I figured they were going to tell me there was nothing more they could do. Instead, they removed what they could of the metal, and said they’d be back once the grinder was repaired. This evening they returned to finish the job, including straightening up the fence where the tree had caused it to lean. I added an additional amount on to the original bid for the extra trouble as well as their going out of their way to ensure the job was completed. Will definitely use them again in the future for my tree trimming needs. I definitely recommend them for your tree removal needs.
