History
Established in 2008.
After years of tailoring and alterations either for someone else or from home with great encouragement from friends, I finally decided to open my own shop, and I have been enjoying the complements from my customers ever since
Meet the Business Owner
Parvin P.
Business Owner
I’ve always enjoyed sewing from early on, when the time came to choose a profession for myself to take care of my family the decision came easily and naturally.
It's been years, but Parvin ruined my dress, and then charged me double for having to work on it twice, even though the second time was her own mistake, AND she still didn't do it correctly! First attempt: all she had to do was shorten the long transparent edge of the dress, but she did it so sloppily that I swear she must've let an 8-year-old family member do it. I could've done better myself, and I'm no tailor.
Also, she was supposed to take in the sides of the upper body, but there is a seam that runs horizontal just under the breast, and so she needed to take in both the upper and lower part, but for some reason she only took in the top part -- which caused the lower part to protrude. I asked her to fix that too, but she said she couldn't because that's just how you alter it. I said no, no, no...obviously, you take it both parts together, but she insisted she did it correctly. I said obviously not because this lower part poofs out now. She said to just keep my arms down during photos!!! WHAT?! And so, even though I started this process over a month before the wedding, there was no time for a 3rd alteration, and so I had to try to keep my arms down for photos. However, that's nearly impossible when you have photos of wiping away happy tears, dancing, and holding your spouse for a kiss, etc. I have many photos where that incorrect alteration sticks out so noticeably.
And again, she charged me DOUBLE for the second time, even though it was her fault! I was so upset about this whole experience with Parvin that I couldn't even post about it for years. And even now, I'm still extremely angry when I think about it.
