Austex Sprinklers

I had a pool of water in my yard near my sprinkler backflow preventer valve. My sprinkler was put in years ago and I also wanted a «master valve» cutoff installed to prevent water possibly leaking from any of my 9 zoned substations. I called Austex Sprinklers to come have a look. Alex came out and found a small leak in my sprinkler system. He also noticed a small leak in my home’s main water line that was leaking directly under my leaking sprinkler pipe. I called a plumber to repair the main line. While we waited Alex and his partner dug out and exposed the leak in the main line. The plumber repaired the leak and we left the pipes exposed. It’s a good thing the lines weren’t covered up. The next day I noticed that the yard line that the plumber had repaired was still leaking. The plumber’s company sent out another repair person who fixed the leak. I waited a few days and after I saw that both leaks were stopped I «bedded» the pipes in sand and leveled the soil. That was about a month ago. I noticed that my sprinkler zone 9 wasn’t working and called Austex Sprinkler. They sent Alex out in a couple of days and he «laid hands» on the system and got it working properly. I still don’t know what was wrong with zone 9 but after he left it was working.
I won’t mention the name of the plumbing company because I was very disappointed in them. They sent out a plumber with a broken thumb. It was a couple of days later that he repaired our home’s line. It was cold and he sat in his truck for a couple hours waiting for the «pipe glue» to cure. He didn’t ask if there were any other things he could do «plumbing wise» at our home. And, after all the waiting, the pipe still leaked the next day and had to be repaired by another plumber from that company.
I am very impressed with Austex as they performed almost all of the digging for the plumber. They also sent Alex out to fix my zone 9 in a timely manner. They have done such a great job and had such excellent follow up that I am calling them tomorrow to repair another sprinkler system that I own on the East side of Austin.

The guys from Austex Sprinklers are the best! We had issues with our system recently, and it didn’t take long to set up an appointment with them. Logan arrived at our home, quickly diagnosed the problem, and gave me an estimate of cost. Within the hour, it was done! Great service, great price!

Alex replaced my old sprinkler system. Although there was one issue with his install, he came back the very next day and fixed it. I highly recommend.

We had hired three different companies to complete some fairly significant sprinkler repair work. Ultimately, we hired Austex. Logan did both the estimate and the work for us and was fantastic. First, he gave us a fair price estimate to include adding some lines and changing out both regular sprinklers and drips. Second, Logan was careful in his digging and in his placement of sprinkler heads. The owner of the company — Phil was equally fantastic. When the final bid was sent, it seemed to have been vague, but when I contacted Phil, he immediately adjusted it at my request to be very inclusive of all items Logan and I had verbally discussed. Finally, our sprinkler system works, our yard has excellent coverage with upgraded sprinklers and our water bill has been reduced. I would recommend this company without hesitation. Bridget L.

Austex did a general check of the sprinkler system today and they were great! They cleared out many heads and replaced a few faulty ones. Technician was very nice and professional. I highly recommend their service.

I contacted Austex based on their Unilocal reviews and I was not disappointed. My technician Alex was pleasant and helpful in explaining the areas that needed fixing.
The charge was $ 245 for standard inspection, 1 valve replaced, 2 flushed nozzles and spray pattern adjustment. Not inexpensive for the time spent, IMO, but I will use them again in the future.

I have to give Austex 1 star for a few reasons. First, their person who came out to gave me a quote was not very knowledgeable. I asked a question about underground drip line as opposed to above ground sprinklers. She said that she didn’t recommend it because of some problems they’ve hard from other clients. I asked what kinds of problems and she didn’t know. She said she had heard of problems with that kind of system even though her quote to me was to include underground drip lines as part of the install.
I was also promised a quote within 48 hours that never came. Please don’t waste my time spending 20 – 30 minutes giving me the sales pitch only to never send me a quote. What’s worse is when I called to Austex to give them the opportunity to fix their customer service issues they failed again. The sales person didn’t have a supervisor but the business manager promised to give my contact information to the owner to have them call me with a day or two. This of course never happened.
Austex lost the opportunity for my business because their sales staff wasn’t knowledgeable, never sent me a quote and their management does not prioritize customer service. I cannot reccommend Austex.

Had great service on a damaged irrigation system. Lots of leaks were fixed, and system adjusted. Extremely fair price, and Logan provided great service!
Will call them again for future work.
Only nit was that they are extremely busy, so there is a wait for an appointment date.

Austex Sprinklers is a great company to work on any sprinkler problem. I generally try and fix things myself but I was not going to dig up my front yard and try and fix a soaker hose issue. Logan was great — he had it all figured out with in minutes and fixed with no issues and he even gave me some tips on watering the grass and using some features on my system. Totally worth it to have these guys fix your issues and it comes with a warranty!

I arranged with these guys to help me check out issues with a valve and some heads with my sprinker system. Their rep arrived promptly at our meeting time and immediately began diagnosing the issues causing me problems. Very quickly he had made all the necessary replacements and adjustments and less than an hour after his arrival I had a perfectly performing system again.
The job included inspecting the system, replacing a valve, capping one of the heads, and adjusting some spray nozzles for proper coverage. The work took a less than an hour as I said and the cost for that time to me was worth every penny.
I was very impressed with both the caring manner with which they approached the job and the complete professionalism which was exhibited in accomplishing it. Overall, I am an extremely satisfied customer and will use them again if I ever have any other problems.

Austex Sprinklers and Logan need to be your go to company for any and all sprinkler issues. Logan came all the way out to Buda after fighting I-​35 Austin traffic; found a dead zone (that I had no clue was even there) and fixed several broken sprinkler heads. He made sure the job was done well and done right! Logan even took the time to walk me through my system and set all the times and zones to work properly.

I had a lot of scheduling problems with Austex but otherwise the technician I worked with was good. When I initially called, the first appt they had was 3 weeks out. I had several valves in my yard that were completely buried, one of which was broke so no water to that zone. Logan found and repaired the broken valve in less than 30 minutes. He also tested each zone and found a broken sprinkler head that I was not aware of. He replaced the broken head but when I got home later that day, I realized actually the nipple was broke too so I had to dig it back up myself and fix it because the soonest Logan could return was again 3 weeks away.
Before Logan left, I did make a follow up appointment to find another buried valve and install a new sprinkler head. Again the soonest he had available was 3 weeks out. When I called to confirm the followup appointment 2 weeks later, the office had no record of it. I reschedule again for 1.5 weeks and they called to cancel that the day of. I rescheduled again but there was a miscommunication about the time… Long story short lot of scheduling issues. Seems like whoever does scheduling doesn’t carve out enough time for each appt, travel, & paperwork so they often run behind.

I’ve been meaning to write and express our satisfaction with Logan at Austex Sprinklers. We chose Austex because of their great Unilocal reviews and Logan came out to check out why our water bill was skyrocketing since we started using the sprinkler system. He is a very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman and within minutes from arriving had found several leaks and repaired them in a prompt manner in addition to giving the whole system an overall checkup. I’d highly recommend Austex Sprinkers and Logan for all your sprinkler system needs.

The number of 5-​star reviews here is what got my attention and I wasn’t disappointed! We had a dead zone problem due to a number of broken line problems, so the job was not going to be an easy one. Usually I handle my own repairs around the house, but with a broken line under the porch and a convoluted knot of connections near the valve, the re-​routing of the line and putting everything back together was too much for me. Logan came out the first time, diagnosed the problem and was honest enough to say he could not finish the job that day, but would come out as soon as could due to his tight schedule. His return was late (4:00) on a Saturday on a 100 degree day… he fixed everything expertly, even though I had to hold a flashlight for him to wrap things up in the dark. That was a 13 hour day for him on his supposed day off… talk about customer service!
The overall service experience was awesome, even if it did take a few weeks to get it all done… my only suggestion to the company is to hire more excellent techs like Logan to handle the service demands in a more timely way, especially during the summer crunch. Thank you so much!

Austex Sprinklers installed our irrigation system a year ago, and we needed some routine maintenance and revised spray patterns for our yard. Logan was very prompt, arrived on time, quickly understood what we needed, inspected the entire system, identified and fixed some minor issues (including a drip hose break he discovered) and swapped out a couple of sprinkler heads to improve spray pattern coverage. Logan was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
Alex, who designed the system originally, also came out to inspect the gutters, and those were promptly repaired by his crew the next day. We called him out because a tree had fallen on our house, hitting the gutters directly, and they withstood it. All his crew needed to do was replace some of the wire mesh screens that had been bent and knocked out of their proper position by the falling tree.
Highly recommend this company.

After calling an independent service provider to examine our system and tell me why there were dead spots on the lawn, I found out that our entire system was improperly installed and lacked a back flow prevention valve (required by Texas, not just Austin, law). That led to a series of calls to irrigation companies for estimates, all of which made my heart stop just a little bit. We ended up with Alex’s company based on the in-​person demonstration of the materials to be used, as well as an informative discussion of irrigation principles without being accompanied by the hard sell tactics common to service providers. I felt like the flexible-​pipe materials used by Austex would better fit Texas clay soils, and the medium-​level upgrade with improved sprinkler heads seemed to be the right call for our lawn.
Installation was scheduled for only a few weeks after bid approval, and the installers showed up on time and with appropriate manpower and equipment. They worked all day (7 am to 7 pm) but by the time they were finished we had a new system in place that was miles beyond the old one. The sprinkler heads are better located, there are more of them, and they are more efficient than the old ones. Drip irrigation was installed in the flower bed and street-​side strip of grass (required by the city), and appears to be working well. We have a new controller that is much more sophisticated than the old, and much more flexible.
Alex came by the house a week after installation to go over operation of the system in detail, and to confirm that it was working properly. He adjusted a head that wasn’t quite right, and had the install crew come back out to re-​route a feeder line that was in view. It would have been fine with me to leave as is, but Alex wanted it to look «like his own house» and I admit that after the crew re-​buried the line in the new spot it looks better.
Sprinkler systems are definitely on the «nice to have» and not the «must have» agenda items for homeowners, and are likely in this drought-​intensifying age to become less common. For us, we feel we made the right choice with Austex, and I am sure you’ll feel the same if you have them install your system.

After Google came through and laid their new Fiber internet, we were left with a dead zone. I suspected that it might have to do with the fact that they parked their machinery directly adjacent to the sprinkler head.
Since Google then agreed to pay for the damage, I consulted Unilocal for a reputable sprinkler company. To be honest, I didn’t even consider any others. Nearly 100 reviews with an average of 4.8 was good enough for me.
The scheduling process was very simple.
We had the pleasure of dealing with Logan. He came out in the pouring rain to diagnose the issues. He setup his equipment and dug trenches to try and locate the issue. Along the way, he kept me apprised on his work and the costs associated. By the end of the second hour, he was unable to zero-​in on the problem. By this time, the rain (and mud) had worsened and he requested that we reschedule.
Logan came back this morning and quickly went to work. He was going to be 15 minutes early so he called to check if this was okay (nice touch). About 30 minutes in, he had identified the problem. It was raining again today, but not as bad. He showed me the crushed pipe, directly where I had seen the machinery parked. We agreed on the price and he went to work. It took about 30 minutes to repair.
All in all, the problem is fixed and area was left how he found it. Logan was very polite and conscientious throughout the two appointments. He is a very capable technician and is willing to spend extra time to get the job done properly.
I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the entire transaction. I would highly recommend Logan and the folks at Austex Sprinklers.

Something is going on at Austex Sprinklers, and in a good way.
Terrific customer service, something all too rare it seems these days. From the initial contact all the way through the service, Austex hit the mark consistently.
Alex was friendly and efficient in his work. I showed him my problem (water supply line leak) and he patiently explained everything that was going on, and commended me for realizing that this was a complex problem that regular homeowners can often make worse by trying to repair themselves.
He worked quickly and effectively, and within an hour had not only repaired the leak, but done an inspection of the entire system and pronounced it healthy.
I’m so happy when I get great service, especially for work I can’t/shouldn’t do myself. Austex Sprinklers ranks up there with the best customer service I’ve had for folks coming to fix stuff at the house. I’m a customer for life now.

So I called to places around 8am of which Alex was one that answered the phone. I told him my problem I had a pipe crack while my husband was working on the yard with the Tillar. I told him had to shut down the main valve for the house then he told me I didn’t have to do that I could just shut down the valve for the sprinklers so I could turn the water back on to my home. I was at work and said I was not home and asked where I lived since it was so close to him business he said he would go over and shut it off for me. Mind you this was before we agreed on service etc. THAT IS FIRST CLASS SERVICE RIGHT THERE, ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET! All these Unilocalers got it right, and I am so glad so far so good.
So he calls me back tells me he shut out my valve, and said now I would be ok until he could come back and service which wouldn’t be till monday. I advised my concern due to my fruit trees etc if that was the soonest he could be out and he offered same day. I was like heck yeah, this man is wowing me with his awesome service. I asked for a worst and best case senario pricing, but told me he would know for sure until after he troubleshoots which is understandable.
BTW This is great service reminds me of california, hungry business onwer knowing he wants to earn your business, having a sense of urgency is hard to find here in Texas. I hate the other places or texas typocal service of when I called they feel bothered by my call rather than happy it was potential business knocking on the door. Just the attidute I get at times ugh! I know you need me and I get to you when I have time for you! This is not the service from Alex you get the luxury celeberity treatment and that is AWSOME!
