I haven’t worn my Burberry watch in months because I just couldn’t bring myself to pay the $ 60 that the places in the mall were telling me that a new battery would cost. Thank goodness I waited… I looked on Unilocal and this place came highly recommended. They fixed it in 5 minutes… for $ 5! I was ecstatic.
The shop is a little hard to spot on Walnut, but it’s definitely worth seeking out. I’ll be taking all of my watches there from now on.

I stumbled upon this watch repair shop to replace watch band. Friendly and helpful staff. You wouldn’t notice this place from the outside. They should add a better sign.

This sentence was repeated often and with great humor to men and women alike during my brief but entertaining visit to Barton & Chase.
Before swinging by, I gave a quick call just to make sure the place was open, would replace watch batteries, and could do one-​stop service. When all requirements were met («happily» was the exact response) I headed on over.
You would never even know what type of business this is from the street. Stepping in was like walking back in time a little bit. The owner told me they have been in the same space for 35 years and by the looks of all the boxes and old school filing cabinets, that much was evident.
No watch was too tricky for this craftsman; I got the feeling he likes a challenge anyway. All four watches were quickly replaced with new batteries at the extremely reasonable price of $ 20. And they take credit cards. Never thought I’d have a go-​to watch repair place but now I do.

So I departed into the wild wild west of jeweler’s row, hoping that I would stumble into a decent shop who wouldn’t rip me off to replace my measly watch battery.
Lucky for me I stumbled upon Barton & Chase. They are a wholesale provider for various parts & gadgets for watches & clocks but they also offer repair service.
At $ 5 flat for the battery replacement. It was fast, reliable and cheap with friendly knowledgeable service.
