Our name is the Closeout Exchange. We specialize in Buying and Selling Diamonds, Jewelry, Precious Metals, Gemstones and Watches. We have been a fixture on Jewelers Row in Philadelphia since 1989 and have been in the same location since 1994. We are open Monday thru Friday 10 am to 6 pm all year round.

History

Established in 1989.

Its 1989 and along with my father Bernie the Closeout Exchange was started. From the time I was a teenager I accompanied my father on his travels. He taught me everything he knew about the jewelry industry.

I was young but I learned so much and applied his teachings when I got older. In the mid 80’s after I graduated from college I opened a jewelry store in New Hope, PA and then was a traveling salesman for a company in New York. Both of these experiences validated my interest in the industry. I started to attend estate sales, auctions, trade shows etc… Buying and Selling was in my blood and I knew this is what I wanted to do. At this point I needed a location and the only logical choice was Jewelers Row in Philadelphia. There we met Sam Kalter and Elliot Rubin and joined forces in 1994. Over twenty years later and many satisfied customers the rest is history.
