History

Established in 2013.

Debi Sacca, owner of Calling Card Confections, starting cooking at the sides of her mother and grandmothers as soon as she could reach a stove (sometimes she had to use a step stool). Debi developed a passion for fresh foods and homegrown produce at an early age. As a teenager, she developed a love and passion for baking, earning her the nickname «LittleDebbieCrocker.» She loves sharing this passion with others and looks for any opportunity to pass her love of cooking on to future generations.

Calling Card Confections is the culmination and adaptation of a dream Debi has to bring high quality, gourmet cookies and pastries to her community. Batches are intentionally kept small to preserve quality and integrity of the products, and lots of love is poured into each cookie, cake, cupcake, and brownie. Calling Card Confections is designed as a mobile business to allow the flexibility to meet the people in varying communities in and around the City of Philadelphia. Have a Sweet Day!

Hi there!

I have loved being in a kitchen since I was a small child and it has been a dream of mine to someday be able to bake and cook for a living. I have had some type of business plan for a restaurant– bakery since I was 16. After working in restaurants through high school and college, I took a detour into the corporate realm. In 2008, I had the opportunity to go back to culinary school, so I jumped in with both feet and launched a culinary career. In 2013, I decided it was time to meld my business/​corporate experience and my culinary knowledge and launch my own business. Calling Card Confections was born in August 2013. I have had some successes, learned some valuable lessons, and continue to move forward. With the help of my fantastic family, awesome friends, and über supportive boyfriend, I will continue to learn and grow my business as it is my dream and my passion.
