Donnie’s Market

I’d like to give Donnie’s a little extra shout out…
As a convenience store, it ain’t much to look at. But their four-​star-​earning secret is this: home-​made Indian food. Hot samosas (or frozen, for later enjoyment), rasmalai, and all sorts of ‘specials of the day’ like coconut chicken curry… it kinda reminds me of all those little cab-​stand delis in downtown NYC that serve some of the best damn Indian or Pakistani food you’re likely to get for less than 5 bucks.
I haven’t had the chance to sample a broad range of the menu, but what I’ve had I liked and the owners are super friendly and quick to make good suggestions, so I’m definitely motivated to keep samplin’… especially in a city with relatively limited options for decent South Asian yummies.
