Fix Your Run is a very specialized fitness business that helps runners become faster and more bulletproof, that is, less prone to injury. Most clients work with us because they’re either frustrated that they keep getting hurt or can’t seem to get any faster no matter how hard they try. Still others want to do things right when they start out as a beginner and we save them from a lot of aggravation by providing our coaching services.
History
Established in 2011.
As a competitive runner himself, John Goldthorp, certified personal trainer and running coach, realized most runners will encounter injury at some point in their journey. While most running coaches can develop a good training plan, John has successfully integrated traditional run coaching with strength and movement training. His interest lies in reducing injury risk while optimizing performance, which is often a tricky balance. He founded Fix Your Run to meet the needs of any runner who wishes to break out of injury cycles, avoid making training mistakes, and take their run to the next level.

John has been coaching since 2001 and attempts to leave no stone unturned when working with his clients by looking for their unique gaps in performance, movement, and mental approach. Always viewing things holistically, he believes in quality before quantity, precision before progression, and has found those who strive to master the basics and move with grace generally win. In addition to his B.S. in Kinesiology from Penn State, he’s a certified ACE Personal Trainer, a Functional Movement Screen Expert, Road Runner Club of America and Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified.
