History
Established in 2005.
Three Monkeys café opened its doors August 25, 2005. Started by Gavin Wolfe, Ed McDonald & Mike McDonald. These 3 Northeast Philly residents revitalized the former Torresdale Antiques building across from the Torresdale Train Station into the one of a kind Three Monkeys café. Three Monkeys offers a unique atmosphere with 3 distinct dining experiences. The pub is Olde City style with a turn of the century restored bar from the old Felix’s Tap Room in Kennsington. The back part of the pub area has an artistic feel with some Salvidor Dali classics along with other mind teasing artwork. The Risdon Ferry dining room has the elegant Victorian feel of a bygone era. Three Monkeys is also one of the only restaurants in the Northeast to offer el fresco dining. The outside Monkey Court is inspired by Key West’s famous relaxed outdoor ambiance. Monkey Court is also home to the only outdoor tropical Tree Bar. open year round… Eat, Drink & Be Monkey
