free juice and fruit in the jury room. helpful, attractive employees.

I was called for federal jury duty, and couldn’t find much info about what the courthouse was like, so I thought I’d post a review.
The prospective jurors’ waiting room is just a large open space with rows of chairs, much like the waiting room at the DMV or other government buildings, but a lot bigger. It’s on the corner of the building, so there are lots of windows, but it’s still sort of dreary. The courthouse employees were all very friendly and pleasant though, which helped.
I don’t know if there’s wifi, but I didn’t see anyone with a laptop. Many people brought their own books and magazines. A smaller room off to the side had TVs to watch, and a few games, puzzles, and magazines, but not many. You’re allowed to use your phone.
They had free juice, coffee/​tea, and muffins in the morning, and gave everyone a voucher for a free drink from the snack bar down the hall. They allowed us over two hours for lunch, and the weather was nice, so I walked over to Reading Terminal Market and got some food.
The bathrooms, unfortunately, were all pretty scummy.
