Details Remodeling & Home Services

We are now remodeling a condo, and we started with the upstairs bathroom. Since I’m not good with any type of plumbing or concrete work, I came upon Details through another Unilocal search. Turns out Kent is kinda out of the handyman business and does full on remodels now. I was very pleased!
He arrived on time for our estimate and was very straightforward and professional about what he could do for us. We agreed on a start date, and spent a few e-​mails adjusting the work contract until we had a firm agreement. He can do whatever you need done, and if there are items you want to do to save money, he’s fine with that as well.
He and his crew had the bathroom demo and drawn out in a day, and already had completed the plumbing changes and drywall repairs. He called and walked me through some of the previously unseen issues to see how I wanted to proceed. They then moved on to making a concrete shower pan, installing new tile throughout the shower and floor. We purchased our own bathroom vanity and put it together and he installed it.
Within no time at all, we have a new, spectacular master bathroom. Throughout the whole process, he kept the area clean and more importantly, kept me updated on how everything was working out. If he came across anything that needed clearance, he called me first instead of just going ahead and doing it.
Nothing but positive things to say. Highly recommended.

I called Kent to do a job for me. Left him a voicemail and he never got back to me. After calling him a third time, he finally answered and asked him if he can do some jobs around the house. Before understanding what work needed to be done, he said he only did kitchen and bathrooms and once I told him where I lived he said that my location is outside of his work area and that he couldn’t help me! Lol I’m in Phoenix so not like I’m really far away…

Kent has been helping me with several properties for several years now… whenever I contact him, he returns my calls or email in a prompt fashion. He is professional, speedy, and very detail oriented (as his business name suggests). I have had him do drywall repair, fit custom doors, and other small projects. I would highly recommend Kent… he’s awesome!

Kent did a 2 bathroom remodel and door molding fix up at my place. The craftsmanship was excellent. He was responsive in my phone calls for pricing, questions, and payment options. His work is excellent and his crew was on time and cleaned their work up daily. I would highly recommend Kent and his staff to anyone!

Found Kent on Unilocal like many others. We were not disappointed. He works fast and clean. We initially hired him to switch out a vanity top in the bathroom, we were so pleased we asked him to do the other bathroom as well. Price is fair to say the least, and Kent is good people as well, which always helps. We won’t hesitate to call him again in the future. it’s nice to have someone we can trust to get things done, when we need them.

In summary, KENT ROCKS! We have come to Kent for multiple projects in four different residences over the past three years. He has consistently exceeded our expectations. We have also referred Ken to at least a dozen of our friends – who have each reported back to us experiences that went well beyond their expectations.
What we specifically appreciate about Kent:
1) He is responsive – returning our e-​mails and phone calls in a timely manner.
2) He is a good listener – making a concerted effort to listen to what we aim to do, and why we want to do it… but (and this is important) being sure to interject, when appropriate, with his experienced and professional opinion. On a number of occasions, what we had first asked of Ken turned out not to be the best way to address the situation at hand. Kent opened our minds to a more efficient and/​or a less expensive approach, or even a different solution entirely that we would have never considered.
3) His estimates are spot-​on. We have never been surprised. Kent presents us with and explains options for labor and materials so that we can make an informed selection of the level of each that best fits our budget for the project. We really appreciate the fact that he has been willing to provide estimates and assist us with both very small, hourly projects, as well as large, long-​term projects.
4) He and any contractors he brings into our residences have been on-​time, courteous, conscientious, and CLEAN! Even during a very significant dusty, dirty kitchen demolition, Kent and his team took great care to clean-​up as best as possible at the end of each day, and to seal-​off the work area with plastic so that dust and debris wouldn’t migrate into other parts of the home.
5) We trust him. There have been plenty of times when Kent has guided us to a less expensive approach to completing a task. We can also trust that when he says that we need to consider a more complicated or more expensive approach, that it is truly in our best interest to take his advice. We trust Kent’s work to the point that we are comfortable arranging for him to work in our own home, and in our tenants’ homes, while we are traveling out-​of-​town – knowing that we will return home to find the work done properly, on-​time, and within budget… and that we will have interacted with our tenants with the highest degree of courtesy and conscientiousness.

I just finished my third home improvement project with Kent, Details Remodeling. Each time I work with Kent the end result is ¹⁰⁄₁₀ quality. He is careful about my home while working, and cleans up behind himself 100%. He’s straight up about his availability, and if you have to wait a couple weeks he’s worth it.
I’ve used Kent for demolition, drywall, electrical, minor plumbing, built-​in shelving, and to tile my entire main floor. He has the right equipment, uses his time (and mine) well. I appreciate his use of email and texting for communications and photos of my ideas; it’s convenient for me to respond around my work time and not have to schedule a time to be at the home for easy stuff like that.
I’ll continue to use Details Remodeling for work in my home and have already recommended him to my friends!

I have worked with Kent for the past three years. He first did a number of things for our rental house. Great job, reasonably priced, and on time. He is licensed and bonded, and highly experienced. After that he remodeled one of our bathrooms, replaced all door moldings and baseboards, refinished a textured wall, and oversaw the new tile work. He was fast, on time, and very neat throughout the whole job. Finally, he did a punch list of repairs related to an inspection for the sale of our house. One day in and out and the job was done. Now we have moved and he will soon do a bedroom and bathroom remodel for us. Wouldn’t be using him this much if we weren’t totally satisfied with him. Highest recommendation overall. Give Kent a call. You will be glad you did. Oh! One more thing. He has a great design sense… which has been very helpful to us on our projects.

Kent helped us out with a remodel project that included new flooring throughout and complete bathroom renovations and took about a month to complete.
Kent was referred to us by friend who had experience. He was extremely professional in every aspect from the time of estimate to completion of the job. He was very clear in cost and estimation. He was on time, courteous and very neat. His staff was excellent and meticulous. He was kind in referring us to other contractors for work outside his scope who proved to be excellent as well.
I find it interesting that the only negative reviews are from folks who never even worked with him. We tend to know what we want, but are willing to leave the technical decisions to the experts. I found him to be knowledgable and detailed, giving sound experienced advice and will continue to utilize him for future projects.

Kent has been doing various home repairs for our family for about 10 years. Sure, he can fix a sink or hang a ceiling fan, but he has done so much more for us!
We had a leak in our attic cause the ceiling to collapse in our daughters bedroom. For less than half the money of what the «suggested contractor» wanted, Kent replaced the ceiling and two damaged walls plus painted the room. A perfect job at a great price.
We call Kent about twice a year with a long list of things that need fixing. He can handle just about any job no matter how big.
That reminds me, I gotta call him about a couple things!

We had a not very complicated job to be done, which consisted basically in filling in a sunken tub and install a jetted tub, along with 12″ x 24″ travertine tiles.
Kent gave me the estimate based on a few pics and all the measurements and we agreed on the time to start about (1 month before the service started, as I had to wait for the tub to arrive).
In the meantime Ken came to check on the price for doing something completely different, but we ended up going with the initial idea.
The job started and finished on schedule and both my wife and I were really pleased with the result.
His price was also about 20% cheaper than the what contractors had estimated me, so I was really pleased with that.

I needed someone who could do a variety of tasks at my house to get it ready for sale. I’ve had good luck with people/​services I’ve found through Unilocal and Kent was no different.
He came to my house at least 3 times. He installed closet doors, fixed drywall, tiled a vanity, hung mirrors & more. He showed up on time, got things done quickly, was reasonably priced, couldn’t ask for more than that. Great to find someone who’s licensed and can get multiple things done fast.

If you want to get work from someone, your first priority should be to make sure they listen to you. This guy was talking over every conversation I would start. I have a whole house to remodel and wanted to start with a small project to see his work. I could not even explain my concerns because he had to interject to tell me that I did not know what I was talking about.
Then he is too lazy to come out and give a free estimate. He suggested I take pictures and tell him what I want and send it via email!
Really, I love technology but that just sounds like he is either lazy or he will drive price up once he see’s job in person.

One Word «AMAZING» kent is professional and on time. I will definitely be contacting him to do further work on my home. It is hard to find a reliable Handyman but Kent got the job done.

To begin with, Kent is great about staying in touch via text, and arrived on time.
Kent came out and looked at my «punch list» and one by one, every item was checked off. I was impressed, as he knew exactly what he was doing on a variety of different projects. He wasted no time, was quiet, picked up and kept every space tidy as he went along.
This man goes directly into speed dial! My husband is going to love that after years in the valley, we’ve finally found someone we can count on and trust.
Call him, you won’t be sorry.

I own several rental properties in the Valley and have used Details Remodeling for several small repairs. My tenants said he showed up on time, took great care in keeping the area clean while he worked and was very professional.
All together, Kent did drywall repair, small plumbing projects, small electrical repairs, one roof repair and installed some shelving in a closet. All the work was perfect.
So then I tried Details Remodeling for a bathroom remodel. Kent took care of the entire project. Ripped out the old bathroom, put in new, tile, baseboards, new vanity, toilet, sink, re-​routed the plumbing, moved the bathroom door over 12 inches… He did it all and it turned out amazing.
I was tired of handyman services that when the guys show up you’re like… I totally get why you’re a handyman, cuz you couldn’t possible get a job doing anything else. Not the case with Kent and his company. He delivers what he promises, comes in at what he said it would cost and he’s great to work with.
