The price was fair, and they came when they said they would, and they came back as promised to finish what could not be done that day. Did good job removing one tree, but they shaped up and trimmed my orange too, and I think they cut too much. Now it has very little fruit. Hopeful this will resolve itself next season. Sad panda. They are the experts, if cutting off too much was going to shock my tree I wish they would have at least warned me.

Once again, mislead by Unilocal reviewers, I selected Hayward after receiving three bids. Hayward was the middle bid for removal of three trees.
They were just OK. They did what they quoted and they did it fast. They broke a couple of pavers and their clean up was sub par.

We used a coupon from Clipper for $ 20 and paid a reasonable amount for the work done. In a half hour the guys cut down a 30′ tree, grinded the stump and blew every leaf in the backyard.
It looks better than if I had raked all day! The head guy said the right tools is why they can move so fast. I would use this company again. I liked they could work around my schedule :)

I have been using this company to trim and fertilize my trees… I have great trust in their knowledge and expertise… only complaint is crew boss who is impertinent… his crew does a great job so overlooked…

My experience with Hayward was excellent in every aspect. I submitted an online request for an estimate. Philip showed up on time, gave me an estimate and emailed me a written quote. Monday afternoon I received a call to schedule my tree removal. Wednesday at 8 a.m. — on time — 3 men came and removed my tree, cleaned up behind themselves and you would never know that a very tall and full palo verde tree had been in that small corner of my back yard. They were friendly and great at their job. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Person that showed up for the quote was very knowledgeable and took his time with me to answer any questions. I had conflicting reports from other companies that do this and the rep answered all my questions and also provided me links in the bid to what questions I was asking. Other companies were trying to up sell me on a lot of extra $$ treatments. When I asked him about certain conditions he explained in detail. Overall I had some large Queen Palms, Mexican Palms, and ficus trees in serious need of trimming. Crew that showed up was very professional and did an outstanding job. I’ve hired many different companies in the past for similar work and they either do not do nearly enough or over do it and butcher everything by cutting back way too much. While I didn’t want to have to do in 3 months again they knew the exact right balance. They were not the most expensive nor the cheapest, but it was worth every dollar as this company was outstanding and the best you can ask. The cleanup after was perfect. I will not use another company again. If this is the consistent service (which appears to be from ratings) then I’m a dedicated life long customer without question. Top Notch! Customer service left a bit to be desired, but they did what they said they’d do and did a great job. They removed a big tree that cracked in a storm, and the stump too. They didn’t even mess up the surrounding plants when grinding the stump! The cleaned up and literally only left footprints.
Not the cheapest, but definitely worth every penny.

This is the second year I have had Hayward do the trees in the front and back yard. They do a wonderful job with the trimming and thinning but also clean up after themselves. I also had my six Texas ash fertilized and boy does that help the trees.

A storm blew my 7 year-​old mesquite tree down. I called Hayward Tree Service to remove it. They showed up with the right equipment and an experienced crew. The whole job was done in about 30 minutes for the price quoted.
Not much more I can say (or ask for).

Great price. Easy to work with. They were able to remove a tree that was growing against a house. I didn’t have to be there. The tree was removed, stump ground, and everything was nicely cleaned up. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They trimmed our ficus trees for a lot of $$ and left BOTH our landscape lighting and our neighbors lighting a mess. My neighbor was upset and called herself to complain. They explained that they only had x amount of time to trim the trees and weren’t able to correct the lighting. Do they really need to get into that? WHat about just and apology? Both our neighbor and i were upset. they eventually did come back and fix the lighting but still not pleased. My husband is not happy with the trimming and would look elsewhere to have it done again. I would not recommend them.

I have a lot of trees on my property and have used several so called landscapers. Most of them just cut branches without any training or knowledge of what they are doing, and I have lost several trees due to these hackers.
Phil gave me a reasonable estimate and wrote a detailed work order for his crew.
No mistakes, no problems, and a very happy customer!

Hayward came out yesterday to trim a few palms as well as a sumac that was close to the house and pretty overgrown. Palms look good as expected; the sumac is what really made a difference — They trimmed the greenery up to about roof height, and trimmed away from the roof and my neighbors fence. It is insane how much brighter it looks in that corner of the yard, and you can actually see that side of the house — makes it all look that much better. They cleaned up and hauled away all debris and also cleaned up around trees. Will be using them again as needed.

I called and described my situation (I have two large Eucalyptus trees in dire need of trimming and oleanders), they said they would have the schedulers call to set up an appointment for sometime on Monday. I Never received the 2^nd call to set up the appointment. They just showed up… I thought ok, maybe some miscommunication.
They looked over the tree and my wife (i was not home due to miscommunication) asked they call me since I had more in depth knowledge about what is needed. They never called. After several days I called them.
Their response «Oh we decided not to give you a quote… sorry». Maybe once they arrive they do a great job but honestly it took a lot of time and effort to get that response.

After speaking with Sebastian about my customer services issues, he offered me a discounted service to have his men come out. We set up an appointment about two weeks ago and today 6 guys showed up within their quoted time frame and took care of business!
We had 6 trees in need of some serious trimming. The Hayward crew took care of everything within 4 hours and took lunch in between since there was a lot of work to be done.
I was at work but my husband specifically called the day off so he could be home for this job. He said the guys were professional and friendly and overall did a great job.

This was the 2^nd time I have used Hayward Tree Service to remove 2 extremely large trees in our yard. 45 year old trees. Both times we were extremely satisfied with the work they preformed. I can’t vouch for being on time the 1^st time around because the work was done while I was at work but the 2^nd time the crew showed up on time, they respected my property and the best part they all spoke English so there wasn’t any miscommunication. They cleaned everything up if it wouldn’t have been for the small pile of sawdust where the stump used to be you never even would have known a tree had ever been there.
I highly recommend Hayward. It’s a great local business with reasonable prices and great quality work, and they are insured so I could have a piece of mind.
