RUN while you still have a roof over your head I’ve been trying to get ahold of somebody in the office for every since they took over this place the most money hungry company I’ve ever seen and the lowest ethics ever I’ve made payment arrangements with them 2 months later they said that there was a bounced check so they took that off the table and took me to court I gave him $ 600 to call the Constable off so I won’t get evicted and they won’t even call me back I’m guessing they’re going to take my 600 and still have the Constable come and put me on the street I don’t know because they won’t call me back come on guys sounds like a class action lawsuit to me we should come together and fight for our rights as Americans give me a call my numbers 602 578 3959 name is David

I dont know how many reviews were here before. I got a call from HL… looks like they are being bought by a new ownership…
they asked me for all the things that went wrong while I used HL (I recently canceled their contract), although I mentioned that all of it was up on their precious «portal» that they hardly respond to, so now they were making me do MORE work again. Since they said they wanted to make good on it, I looked back at my PDF version of the portal I downloaded before I got closed out, and noted it… it turns out it was all about trying to buy me out to remove my post from Unilocal. They offered me $ 300 to remove this post. SO… are we loosing posts now? what does that say to HL integrity. and maybe Unilocal?
This group is bad news, no matter what they are called (as they might change the name).

Stay away at all costs. If you are looking for a company to manage your property, that is easy to get a hold of, that explains what they do and how they do it in a timely manner, then this is NOT the company for you. If you are looking for a company to tell you what you want to hear, have repairs made by their in house maintenance people the refuse to give you a break down of parts/​labor/​travel charges, and generally be very difficult to get a hold of, then they ARE the company you are looking for. If you want to spend your money with a company that has no regard for their clients, call HomeLovers If you actually want a company to manage your property, be straight forward with all their charges and answer the phone when you call (or return your call) then look elsewhere! If negative stars were an option, they’d be rocking the negative reviews. Do your homework, there are many other companies in Arizona that will take good care of you and your property.

This is the most horrible management company I have ever lived in my toilet was broken when I moved in it took them 6months to repair my toilet because they claim that if its over 100.00 they have to get the owners approval, they said my toilet cost 900.00 mind you my rent was 850.00 and i paid a 1200.00 deposit to move in I always paid my rent on time they would send people to my house to look at the toilet and that’s it!!! Then I had them come out to fix my air because it wasn’t working properly they charged me 100.00 for coming to the house and then they tried to charge me 150.00 for a sink clog it got to the point they I would go back and forth with them about there outrageous fees that I broke my lease and left and I only had months left Renters BeWare don’t rent from them they are horriable

It started with giving a down payment for a home and then 2 weeks before moving from Michigan to Arizona they call and tell me they gave it to someone else. They were able to find me another home in the area but weren’t sure if it would be ready for move in. I told them it would be fine if they had to do some repairs while we were moving in and they agreed. We received the keys and drove to the new home. It wasn’t too dirty but there were many issues that needed to be addressed. The house was repainted which was nice. They replaced some blinds and a new garbage disposal that they didn’t install until many calls and messages were sent. The outlet in the living room never had a cover on it and when walk through pictures were sent it was never addressed by Homelovers. Also, one of the spare bedrooms didn’t have a cover for the light on the ceiling. It was no where to be found. Then one day the fridge stopped working. We put all the food in coolers because we thought Homelovers would have someone to our house quickly. Boy we were wrong! My husband had to put multiple maintenance requests in and called to follow up because it took them forever to respond. The a repair man came probably over 2 weeks later. He «fixed» the problem and a month later guess what happened. They took there sweet time getting someone out to the house again. So another 2 weeks without a fridge. They «fixed» it and guess what happened again about a month later. This time the repair man said they have to take the fridge to their warehouse to fix it. We asked if they could provide a spare since he said it could take a month. Of course they couldn’t provide a spare so we went and bought our own fridge. We received the fridge back with no further issues. The garbage disposal was clogged and not running with stagnant water sitting in the sink for about 2 weeks they came and installed the new disposal that was sitting in our closet when we moved in. We have had multiple issue with the disposal since and Homelovers in each occasion were not at all speedy. The only thing they were quick to answer was when I asked to renew the lease. We liked the house and didn’t want to move. They were so quick to respond and get the new lease to us I was amazed. If only they could move that quickly when the 500 dollars of food was spoiling. When we originally got the home we were told all landscape was maintained by homeowners and we didn’t have to worry about it. Well that was a complete lie and we were served many times by the hoa regarding landscaping problems. Also, Homelovers called and asked us to plant a tree for the homeowner and they would reimburse us. Ummm… I am not going to plant a tree that’s why I rent so I don’t have to worry about such things! We contacted them regarding the pool heater not working and they told us it was summer and it wouldn’t turn on because the water was already warm. Really?! We explained that the heater had not been working previous to the summer and we wanted to have it repaired so we could use it next winter. They said someone would come and look at it and the warranty would be contacted. Never seen anyone or have yet to be contacted. We decided to move to the east side of phoenix so we found a house and they called Homelovers to confirm rent and history. The same day someone from Homelovers emailed me asking if we were moving! I let them know we would give them the allotted notice time and we weren’t sure. The next week we received a letter stating the lease would not be renewed. Kinda strange that they wanted to get the heads up on us… We will be moving out shortly and I am very nervous. The house is in perfect condition except for the pool heater which is not my concern because I have already asked for maintenance. I have read many comments regarding how ridiculous the move out process is and how they nickel and dime your deposit. If we do not receive our full deposit we will have to take action. Also, I went on our account to copy the maintenance requests and conversations we have had with Homelovers and conveniently all the requests are gone and all the correspondence about the fridge are deleted. Seems pretty fishy to me! I almost forgot about Homelovers moving and not giving us a forwarding address!!! I kept looking at my bank account and noticing the rent hadn’t been taken out. I always make sure it gets deposited on time and I was getting worried. I called and they told me that my check hadn’t gotten to the new office yet. New office?! They told me they had moved and my check had gone to their previous office. They said they got the mail from the other office and my check wasn’t there. I asked why they didn’t contact me about changing addresses because this is the first I’ve heard of it and why they didn’t contact me when my check was lost. She had no answer. After getting off the phone two comments were made online regarding there new address. Just ridiculous!!!

We have lived in our current house for almost 3 years as good tenants. Always pay rent on time, take care of the house, etc. And ever since home lovers took over it has been nothing but frustration and the run around. Our pool has been broken for 8 months that they refuse to fix. All they say is «we ordered a part» but it has been 8 months and don’t return our calls or emails. Our kitchen sink got clogged and they wouldn’t return our maintenance request for 2 weeks so we went 2 weeks without being able to run the water or do dishes. When they finally sent someone out, they charged US for the repairs. Our bathroom sinks and toilets started flooding and took a couple days for someone to come out and only because we were able to get a hold of the actual home owner.
Home lovers refuses to answer calls, emails, and gives you the run around whenever they do. We got fed up and put our 30 days in on January 10^th to be out by the 11^th of February and now they are refusing to prorate February and saying we must pay the full rent for both January and February even though NO WHERE in our lease does it say we are responsible for that.
This is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with a lot. Stay away from them!!!

They write good reviews on themselves because their tenants and home owners won’t, that’s why they don’t show here, go to yellow pages Valesha wrote a wonderful review on Velesha and how helpful she was with him and his wife, sounds like a joke right? I wish… see for yourselves

I’ve been living in my house since the beginning of January. Since the beginning its been a nightmare. It started the next day after we got the keys when the owner showed up and wasn’t even aware that the house has been rented out, and no cleaning had been done and no repairs had been made. We were notified that they needed to come and do the repairs and that it would require two days of work, we scheduled the repairs for the following week. The first day of repairs they left me a voicemail said they were 5 minutes away (I didn’t answer because I did not recognize the number) I immediately got up unlocked the door and waited, nobody ever showed. I called about an hour later and asked the receptionist where the guy was, they said they were going to try and get ahold of them and call me back they then said they couldn’t get ahold of him and to wait, I waited all day at home and they never showed. I was extremely irritated because I had cancelled my doctor’s appointment to make sure I was home. The next day I received an email saying that I was charged for not being home, the guy had claimed to have shown up and said I was not there and turned his phone off for the rest of the day which was why they couldn’t get a hold of him. I called and argued with them stating that I was home I was waiting and even repeatedly calling, they said that they have pictures of his clock and our vehicles outside, if our vehicles were outside we are obviously home so why would we not answer the door. So they were then supposed to come the following day, they called that morning and rescheduled. Finally when the repairs were done they had had done little things to fix and then they had painters come when the painters came they weren’t even given enough money for all the paint they needed to do the necessary work, areas like our closet still have obvious patchwork that has yet to be painted, I even heard their boss say that was all they were getting and to make it work. I asked them if they would send a cleaning crew or landscapers because the carpets were stained the grout was stained the yard has grass and weeds everywhere and they said there was nothing they could do and that it wasn’t in their contract, why should I pay a cleaning deposit if I’m not even moving into a clean house. Also at the time of moving I was 8 months pregnant so I was not in shape be on my hands and knees scrubbing. We had signed an 18 month lease because we didn’t want to move around the holidays again and that’s my biggest regret right now, I would do almost anything for our lease to be over. I assumed even with bad reviews really what do you use a leasing agency for aside from just to pay rent, boy was I wrong. It seems every month they find something to charge us for, simple things like them sending an email they charge you $ 25 for I had asked them to see proof of what they’re charging us for claiming HOA violations and their response was well the picture is black but the statement says that we were in violation. One time our sink was leaking pretty bad underneath in the cabinet so I called them and let them know, they said a repair man would call us the next day to schedule, it took them a month to get back to me and «fix» our sink, they replaced the faucet and said thats all that needed to be done and within a month it was flooding our entire kitchen and then the garbage disposal stopped working which made the dishwasher stop working and so I had called them again, they sent somebody out again and they said that we needed to replace the faucet again so that’s obviously not the issue and then because of all the water damage the boards underneath the sink are now rotted and caving in so they said they need to be replaced, which I believe is their responsibility because they did not come out in the right time to fix it to the point where for weeks I was doing dishes in my bathtub, and we kept a bucket under our sink but was not enough because water was coming out all over. The repairman said the wood would be replaced the next week and to no surprisethey never rescheduled and then I was sent an email saying that they had closed the service order I brushed it off I don’t even care to deal with them anymore, especially since the sink is leaking again. I received an email first thing this morning at 0815 stating that we were charged $ 80 for repairs and maintenance I’ve been calling since 0815 and it is now 5 I cannot get ahold of anybody nobody will return my calls.

I have not one good thing to say about home lovers. Let me start off by quoting their website it says «WE HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE». Haha I laughed when I saw that! So where do I begin, we moved to AZ in January and we came across the current house we are living in now. Home Lovers was the management company we got approved so on and so forth. I went to pick up my keys on a friday and I walked into the office and not one person greeted me or said hello I had to get the lady at the desks attention to help me. All the people I dealt with from then on also were not very inviting and not friendly they were all very arrogent. I did the walk through on the house and filled out my inspection list, there was not a whole lot wrong with the house just a few minor things it was just really dirty in which I had to deep clean. It looked like the house had been siting vacant for years! We had a number of issues with them the first one the upstairs bathroom did not have a drain stopper so we put a service request in for the stopper and the slidding door that was missing the screen. They never did respond to our request so we called like a week later and they proceeded to say to my wife when we asked about the stopper, «cant you just go get a stopper and put it in yourself». I was a little turned off by it because my 6 year old boy could not take his bath, so I just sucked it up and went out and got one and put it in.
The property was advertised as having three community pools in which we did not receive a key for. We kept trying to call and all they would tell us is they couldnt get a hold of the landlord. So I got frustrated with it and finally called one last time and told the lady I was speaking to that I bet if you called the landlord and told him his property was on fire he would answer. We hung up and not even 5 minutes later they called us back (surprise) and told us that the landlord said we could get a key, they told us we had to pay 25 dollars for the key and I had to drive 25 minutes to pick it up. I wasnt too happy about it but I did it anyways just not to have to deal with them.
A couple months later our AC stopped working in the middle of summer we noticed as we got home from work and Homelovers was closed already so we called their emergency line and told them what was going on. The guy my wife was speaking with was very rude and asked why we didnt call earlier and report it… Hello genius she just told we got home from work. Surprisingly somone was out the next day!
Then this is the issue we are dealing with currently. We put a service request in because i noticed our garbage disposal was leaking a little because it was starting to rust through. They called us back about a month later about the sink and had a guy coming out a couple days later, the morning the guy was suppose to fix the sink he called and told me they had to cancel because they no longer worked for homelovers I told him I dont blame you. Home lovers never called back to rescheduled or never attempted to get somone else to fix it. So we called and asked what was going on and set up another appt for a day I was off it was a morning appt and I waited around all day and no one showed or called. I called that same wednesday and the lady I spoke with tried to play dumb and acted like they never had a service request. So we set up another appt for a saturday in the morning and yet again no one shows or calls. So I call this past Monday and ask what happened why somone didnt show up again, and yet again the same lady plays stupid and says I dont know what happened and keeps apologizing blah blah blah. i am very angry at this point I share some choice words with her and she tells me she will have to call back so she can get somone to come out. Its now Wed and still no call back and the sink keeps leaking worse and worse. I have had it, dealing with this incompitent company. All that we are trying to do is get our stupid sink fixed so it dosnt flood the kitchen! I have called and left messages for the manager and nothing no respone! They keep playing stupid and are a bunch of liars, they are rude and have awful customer service. They are not looking out for the best interest of their customers and more importantly the owners of the homes, only for their wallets. Its funny have been reading very similar reviews by other people. I also like how the owner of home loversris commenting on peoples negative reviews trying to defend his company, you have no foot to stand on you got removed from the BBB and have a F rating what does that tell you. I dont know how this company is still in business somthing needs to be done about them! I hope you have made it to the end sorry for the novel but people must know to stay away from this company they are nothing but bad news! I wish they had a negative star button you could push.

My biggest regret in dealing with Homelovers was not doing my homework first. Had I simply checked them out with the BBB I would have noticed the lack of accreditation and «F» rating. They present well. Dave will give the personal touch of visiting you at your home and will sit across the table and say all the right things. However, once the rubber meets the road don’t expect any customer service. We went over a month without a response from Homelovers in our owner’s portal. Once the tenant, also dissatisfied with their service, moved out we were charged for re-​keying only to have our new property manager receive a single key and one garage door opener for the entire property. No mailbox key, no second garage door opener, and our new property manager received a reply of «that’s all you get» when they inquired about these items. I don’t even want to think about the nightmare we have in front of us in trying to recoup tenant damages. Bottom line: they did not communicate with us, nor did they protect our investment. The only responsive individual was the handy man. Anyone considering Homelovers please do your homework. Do not buy into the weak (eerily suspicious) customer reviews. Check out the BBB and you’ll have all you need.

It looks like Homelovers doesn’t seem to care about Unilocal reviews based on the other reviews here, but…
I normally don’t post on these sites, but my experience with Homelovers has been so awful that I just can’t allow others to go through what I have. As a homeowner, the experience has not only been horrible for the renters (charged fees not explained during lease signing, no response to emergency situations, scheduling issues, etc.), but my experience has been terrible as well. It has been so bad that I have had to manage outside contractors to handle repairs because they don’t seem to care to respond in a timely manner. Even worse is I live out of state, so it has taken up a lot of my time.
The experience has been so bad that we are selling the house when the lease is up for the renters.

A quick update (albeit late)…Our move out inspection was absurd and quite the rip off. A couple months prior to our move out, we requested maintenance for several items in the house. They finally came out a few weeks before our move. One of the issues was an old closet door (the older style that you pull the knob and the door accordions/​folds in half and opens). The guy explained to us that he would need to replace the track because the track was just too old and malfunctioning and he would have to make a special trip to get the part. He asked us if we’d be okay with it waiting for move out to save the owner some money, instead of making an additional trip out so close to our move out date. We agreed and decided to spare the owner and ourselves the hassle. Post move out, low and behold, we were charged for that item upon move out inspection even though it had nothing to do with neglect or misuse. Unreal! We were also charged for «taking a ceiling fan light fixture» that NEVER EXISTED. I emailed the company with a date stamped pre-​move in picture of the fan without the light fixture in addition to the maintenance/​closet door issue, much to no avail. I never heard back from them.
The move-​in wasn’t a very smooth process either and I should have paid attention to the red flags.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go with another company. You won’t regret it.

Worst management company I have ever done business with. I have a rental property in Tempe, that is vacant, and jasen has done nothing to get it rented. He doesn’t return phone calls, and on 2 separate occasions she stated he was «unavailable all week». I paid them to get the house rent ready, and they never did. They sent me a video of my property and stated that it would rent better if I upgraded my plumbing and electrical in the garage, and remodeled my master bathroom to make it bigger. Maybe if the house wasn’t vacant for a few months I could afford some of those nonsense upgrades. I ended up having my own cleaning/​paint/​and yard guy come out to finish the job Homelovers failed to do, but it was difficult because I couldn’t get a hold of anyone to give my handyman access to my house (as I live in San Diego). Spare yourself some time and money and find ANYONE else

I recently moved in to a home, rented out my homelovers. Worst experience ever!
When I first contacted them, and viewed the property, the tenant was still living there. When we walked in, and opened the bedroom door, the tenant was sleeping! She was very upset. I can understand a miscommunication and didn’t think much of it.
They were helpful at first. Called me, and returned my calls. Once they got my security deposit, however, was a different story. At that time, they sucked at returning calls. I agree with HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The home was NOT move in ready! The walls were chipped, not painted, and even still had nails in the walls from the previous tenant! Horrible! The rest of the house was clean. The tenants moved out, literally just a couple days prior, so they obviously just came in and cleaned as fast as possible. The microwave was broken, a burner on the stove doesn’t work, and the fire detectors were ON THE FLOOR without even batteries. Real safe! In addition, there were no keys. They gave me the house key, and that was it. No pool key, no mail box key. I called and they told me to call the HOA. I had to run back and forth to the post office, and I still don’t have a pool key! Then I called Jen again, asking her where to send the checklist (as I had a laundry list of items needing repaired). She NEVER returned my call. Speaking of laundry, there was NO washer and dryer as my contract stated there was! Luckily I had my own, but stil.
Literally ONE WEEK after I moved in, I received a call from a realtor stating that her client was the new owner of this home. WHAT?! I had no idea that this home was in the process of being sold. So in the time that I was signing my lease, this home was in the process of being sold. I never heard back about the checklist, by the way. I’ve had a horrible and stressful experience with the new landlord, who will not make any improvements/​fixes to the home, and even asked me to move out exactly one month after I moved in. The reason? Because he did not purchase this home as a rental property. He wants to live there. I am seriously contemplating just moving at this point.
All and all this was THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD renting a home. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

I have had 3 experiences with them and none of them were positive! My first issue is that they do NOT return calls. It is rare to get someone ever on the phone and then they will not return your calls. I had a property I was interested in viewing and they did not call me for 2 weeks.
My second issue is by the time they finally called me back, they informed me the property has been rented awhile, they have just failed to update there listings.
Lastly, the third and biggest issue was after I FINALLY got them on the phone and set an appointment to view a home. They call me 30 minutes before the showing to confirm. I missed the call because I was working. I called them back to confirm the showing (about 10 – 15 minutes prior to our appointment) and they inform me that in the few minutes it took to call me back, they have rented the property. I understand this happens, but my frustration comes from the fact that I TRIED to put an application in prior to seeing the property. We knew we liked the area and the house from the pictures so I was willing to put money down sight unseen. They informed me that it wasn’t a first come first serve basis so not to worry about this. Then they rented it out from under me.
We are excellent renters with several years renting history with letters of recommendation from previous landlords. We have a flawless payment history with good credit and no evictions, short sales, or foreclosures. Apparently these are not the type of renters that HomeLovers is interested in. I would not recommended them. If they are this horrible before they even get your lease signed, I cannot imagine what happens once you are locked in.

I wish i could rate this company lower. The level of incompetence is astounding I just moved out and have been waiting 20 days for my security deposit to find out they sent it to the rental address that I vacated. Really? I called and provided them with a forwarding address and in addition they have my cellphone number. But were they proactive and call me if they didn’t have my address? NO! But that is typical of what I experienced in the two years that I rented from them.
Issues with the maintenance of the house were never promptly addressed and in the two years i lived there I called them to address a leak under the sink 4 times. It was still leaking when I moved out
They double bill the owner and the tenant for repairs so if you’re a homeowner looking for a management company stay away from this company.
Renters should stay away as well as the fees are unfair and they don’t clean the rental units even though they charge a non-​refundable cleaning deposit.

Well, live and learn… After one year we are terminating our contract with them and managing our own property from 1000 miles away. After reading other reviews, yup the company rips off tenants and owners and charges for work not done. I’ve had to apologize to our tenant for Home lovers actions. Please don’t rent from them or let them manage your property.

DO NOT USE! They are absolutely horrible. So I viewed a house on a Saturday really liking it. I told the relator and she said she needed a $ 600 deposit to hold it and she needed it by the end of the weekend. So Sunday, the next day I had to meet her on my lunch break to give her the certified check. She also informed me that my roommate and I had to fill out the application that tells us if our credit is good enough, by the end of that day. I felt very rushed but I just figured they were expediting the process of our move in which I didn’t mind. The relator informed me that I will be dealing with someone at the office from here on out but to call her if anything were to arise. Two days later I hear from someone at the office assisting me with sending in additional information (proof of income, driver’s license, etc.) I asked when could we expect to move in (since it was the end of the month and I would be moving out of my current place). She wasn’t sure and told me she would call me back. She was thinking they may get a crew in there the upcoming Monday (labor day) but if not probably Tuesday. Since I was at work I requested to be emailed. I was neither called or emailed and had to call back the next day Wednesday. I left her a voicemail requesting to be called back. On Friday I called her and the relator, both to no avail. I called again on Saturday leaving a voicemail on the main line and another on the realators. Still nothing. My roommate and I really wanted/​needed to move into this place as I was crashing on a friend’s couch until the apartment was prepared. I figured by Tuesday (Monday was labor day) I’d hear from some one apologizing profusely for all the missed calls and the uncertainty they left me. Nothing. I called furious around 10am to both the office and the relator. NOTHING! My roommate had to drive 50 mins. to their distant office in Glendale just to talk to someone. Essentially he talked to another office girl who basically told him she’d forward the message when the right office girl came back from lunch. That was about 11am. I did not receive a call from someone until around 3pm. This is the next week Tuesday now. She said they’re looking at a Friday move in. Great, another week on my friends couch. Come Thursday I receive a call from the same office girl stating that she wanted to give me a «heads up» on the fact that she can’t confirm that the apartment has been cleaned because she can’t get a hold of the cleaning crew. At that point I had enough and requested to speak with a manager. I was put on hold for at least 20mins before I could talk to Jasen (spelled with an e). Jasen was not helpful at all. He even at one point of the conversation said, «This is over 2 missed calls?» in a tone that minimalized the situation. He was making up excuses for the poor service stating that they are busy at the end of the month. The excuses didn’t make sense as to why they couldn’t give me a call back stating, «It’s not ready but it will be ready around this time.» I tracked down the owners name and she was having the same issues with them; them not returning calls, being left in the dark on issues, etc. In addition to that I reviewed all the horror stories here on Unilocal and seen that the Better Business Bureau rates them F. I quoted all these things when Jasen called me this morning (Friday, the supposed move in date) to confirm he was not returning my $ 600 deposit and basically told me that all that didn’t matter and that I was not getting my money back. I will not be taking legal action against this company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

My first one-​star review… seriously. They suck!
We have been stellar renters for 3 years, and horrible experience dealing with them.
Bottom line they nickel and dime both renters and homeowners, and have horrible «customer service».
We provided them with a laundry list of all the broken items, etc in the house upon move in. Then annually, they would have a «maintenance» person come over to check out the house. And every year we would list the same problems, etc — — NO ONE ever did crap about it.
The major ones (like when the AC went out) — — we got in touch with the homeowner — since HomeLovers was crap.
Moving in — — the house was not move-​in ready. There were electrical problems, alarm problems, broken windows… (again, somehow we were put in touch with the homeowners and they had it fixed — i think because they didn’t want to be charged the exorbitant amount that HL was going to charge them.)
We had two small dogs that never did any damage, yet there was a non-​refundable pet deposit. (Which i think is a joke!)
Then 3 yrs later when moving out — they tell us they’re gonna charge the following:
$ 95 re-​key fee
minimum of $ 250 carpet clean fee, if we don’t provide receipt of carpet cleaning
keep the pet deposit
So all in all, from our $ 1695 deposit — — we may be looking at getting $ 1000 back.
We had professional house & carpet cleaners… Provided them with all our receipts, and guess what they did? They gave our ENTIRE deposit to the homeowner! (Not us!)
We had to collect form the home owner, who THEN tried to deduct their own fees which were NOT on the contract we signed. My husband just called the homeowners, and explained everything to them — and it looks like we’ll get most of it back. But clearly they’re just trying to get back some fees that they got screwed over with too .
Moral of the review — — Don’t do it!
As either a renter or property mgmt company, they will screw you over!

This has to be the worst company ever. Tennants please read all of the reviews and don’t do it. I agree with everyone of them that review them poorly. I can’t believe how unprofessional and inept this company is. If you are already a tennat keep everything, record everything, save all of your receipts, take pictures. Do what you have to because you WILL end up having to defend yourself. and fyi they have «14 days from the day you ask for your deposit back» to give it to you. So email them the day you turn in your keys and ask for it, otherwise you’ll have a 3 to 4 week wait on your hands. Also, besure you download everything you can from your personal page before you move out because they shut down your access immediately and you won’t have any records of anything.
Go look at the other review sites, go to the BBB and look them up there. This is the most worthless management company I’ve ever seen. I even have an email from their property manager that says «we’ll let you move out early if you won’t tell anyone the condition the property is in…» ??? beware beware beware!!!

We hired HomeLovers to manager our Phoenix area rental approximately two years ago. Noël Pulanco worked with us in the beginning. I will say he was very pleasant and helpful at first. However after we signed with him, he was nothing but rude and uncooperative. If you search his name on the internet, you’ll read a common thread of his behavior — I’m not saying anything that hasn’t been stated about him before.
HomeLovers has a nice online system for renters and owners; but I will say they are very expensive and don’t offer good customer service to support their high fees. BEWARE IF YOU CANCEL MID YEAR, they will charge you property management fees for the remainder of the year, regardless of the situation. Other fees such a mandatory walk through each year to access the property, a yearly property mgmt. fee (outside of your monthly fees), etc. are ridiculous. Also, I would suggest not using them do any home repairs on your behalf. We did for painting of the inside of the house and it was a terrible job.
At final walk through of the property, HomeLovers never noted a shower head missing from the master bath (there was just a pipe sticking out of the shower wall), or missing blinds or burners from the stove. And of course we had to pay a fee for this final walk through — only to find out later they missed these items and were later at our expense.
Finally, there is a reason that they are no longer members of the BBB. Their membership was revoked on 1-​13-​2011, and they are rated an F with the BBB.
