POG Moving & Helpers

These guys are very hard-​working and reasonable! We had Lee, joey, and another guy who’s name I don’t remember. He was a funny guy who entertained the whole afternoon.
POG is professional and helped us move from Chandler to Ahwatukee. They wrapped up our stuff and protected it with blankets to ensure there would be no damage.
Movers get a bad rap but book with these guys confidently. I changed my date several times and they were totally cool about it.

So Good. So Fast. So careful. Arrived when they said. Hot day– but they still worked hard.

We used POG for 3 moves from ²⁄₁₅ (Surprise AZ to storage), ⁵⁄₁₅ (San Rafael CA to Scottsdale AZ) and ⁶⁄₁₅ (storage to Scottsdale AZ) as we each sold a house and then bought one in Scottsdale. All 3 moves went very well!
Tim at POG solved 2 logistics problems for us. In Surprise we had ordered the wrong size storage and he got it resolved within an hour so that the move could proceed as planned.
In CA the driver flew in to find a snafu with the UHaul truck. Tim got it resolved and although it meant the driver arrived late, they still completed the load within a couple hours and arrived in Scottsdale at the scheduled time.
I’ve now completely unpacked from all moves and found no damage to any of our belongings or to any of our homes.
The teams were very cheerful, friendly and hardworking. Tim was a lifesaver with the logistics! I highly recommend!

If POG Movers and Helpers didn’t get a «contract» with me it’s because no paperwork was ever brought for me to sign. However, I do have a photograph of the payment code used by POG to deceitfully gain payment when they hadn’t completed their job. It is included with the rest of my photographs. Looks as though Carolyn A and I experienced this company’s lack of service around the same time. Please see my review and Tim’s responses. Carolyn A– Tim stated that he does not use the term «malicious» loosely… I beg to differ. He also managed to gouge my wall! Though his movers «fixed» it. I also was given the new guy. Tim’s responses show his lack of maturity and professionalism that you would expect from a business owner. You will see in my replies to Tim I stated I am posting a review on BBB as his website advertises BBB accredited which is NOT the case per the BBB website. His response to my review on BBB was «Good luck in life I could give a flying rip about the BBB.» Funny, shortly after that response I received an email from the dispute representative at BBB asking to provide proof of doing business with POG as they are disputing having interactions with me. Good luck with the repairs Carolyn.

I decided to use POG based off all the 5 star reviews I read. My experience was just the opposite. I made an appointment for an 8 am move, by 900 there were no movers so I called Tim, the manager who told me that he would call back in 10 minutes and find out where his crew was. No call so I called him back, he said he made an error in switching my appointment tI’m with the second client but that he was sending an Extra guy to help the other job get done faster. He told me they would be over in an hour at most, which would be 1015. the movers showed up at 1140. The truck they brought was very small and out of 3 movers only 1, named Jason hustled and did most all the heavy lifting alone. They didn’t have power tools to take apart my bed or table so they spent a while doing it with just a screw driver. At the end of them packing they had Jason tell me that the remaining 8 boxes I had would not fit in the truck and they’d have to come back after asking me to transport one of my tvs in my car. I decided not to have them come back for the last 8 boxes due to not wanting to pay for an extra hour of horrible and slow service. When it was time to drive to the new place they asked if one of their crew members could ride with me, again due to a small truck. Same slowness when we got to my new place. Jason hustled and did work by stacking multiple boxes on top and moving quickly with a dolly. Meanwhile one of the other men is smoking near the truck that contains my furniture and taking 1 or 2 small things off the truck! I was furious and knew that this would take longer than the 3 hours I budgeted for so I started helping move my own stuff that I paid movers to move! Lee and the smoker attempted to get my couch through the entry way and managed to gouge my wall and leave black scuffs on the wall. I then called time to tell him of his crews speed, lack of timeliness, size of truck and gouge on the wall. He told me that the truck 99% of the time is able to fit 2 bedroom apartments with no problem (I had a 1 bedroom) and this was not the case. When I told him I was specific in my emails of how many boxes and large items he said «unfortunately since we can’t see these items that’s a risk you take» his response for the movers showing at 1140 was «sometimes jobs take longer and it pushes the start of the next job out» fine, I understand that HOWEVER had Tim not made the mistake of switching my appointment with the second appointment of the day I would have been the 1^st job and would not have dealt with lag time! He stated that his compensation for his error was throwing it a 3^rd mover for free. I have an issue with 3 guys who are unable to get a 1 bed, 1 bath apt moved in 3 hours. Tim then tried to say that the drive from old place to new was far… nope, 13 miles and if it were «far» he should have indicated that when I gave him address specifics upon booking my appointment. His response for the dry wall was «well my guy can take a picture drywall is a $ 5 patch job» GREAT! then your crew can go spend $ 5 and find it since I did not put the hole there. Lee did do a nice job of being apologetic about the hole, he Googled an Ace Hardware and came back with caulk and apologized some more. Though the movers, with the exception of Jason were slow they were friendly. Tim however was very unapologetic. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Next step is rating them on the BBB.

We had a great experience with the movers from POG. They were incredibly hard working, courteous, professional and quick! I would highly recommend them.

Tim and his crew were awesome. Got the entire job done in three hours. He even brought an extra guy. Hopefully I won’t need to be moving again for a long time but I will definately recommend them to my friends.

These people were lifesavers – my siblings and I were faced with a last minute move of my mother to storage and realized quickly that we couldn’t do it ourselves. I called on a Sunday afternoon with little hope that we could find someone without waiting and having to re-​lease the U-​haul truck we had. NOT SO, POG arrived in less than an hour after calling them and did everything we needed and took wonderful care of the furniture, some of it antiques in not so good shape. The workers were courteous and quick about their business too. When it comes time to move her stuff out of storage, there is only one place I’ll call – POG!!!

We moved my mom from Phoenix to San Diego in late February … and they did a great job packing up her belongings. They were on time — and great to work with. They did far more, in fact, than the contract called for. The day after packing, the guys returned to haul away furniture, etc. that we didn’t plan to take — and we learned that most of it would go to veterans groups. I definitely recommend them.

We used POG Moving & Helpers in our recent move from one home to another in the Phoenix area. We were very pleased with their service. Sent a confirmation email with a follow-​up a few days before the move. Everything was on time and very professional. Tim and his crew were outstanding.

Not only did my crew show up early, they called to make sure I didn’t need anything prior to their arrival. When they showed up they shook hands, looked us in eye and went to work! I was SO impressed at the attitude, super hard work and care these young men gave to my belongings. We truly enjoyed working with this team and I would hire them again in a second. The manager that I arranged everything with, Tim, just as amazing as his crew. He followed up, emailed, called and after my job was over, checked in again to make sure all was well.
This is an A++ experience– I wish I could give them 100 stars!
