History

Established in 1968.

Business was established in 1968, as a franchise for the original Spring Crest Drapery. which is drapery with a stainless steel pleater that was inserted in the top of the drapery to form a perfect pleat. Those who still have this style love it. It’s a beautiful look, but the hardware became hard to get, and an easier application with a similar look, called ripplefold, has pretty much taken its place. Ripplefold also has a more user friendly hardware. The franchise is no longer in existence, but some of the dealers kept the basic name, as it was often recognized in the drapery field. I purchased this business about 20 years ago, and have been very happy, helping clients turn their houses into beautiful homes.

As a young married woman, I continually found myself designing things for my own home, and loving to observe custom drapery styles. I was constantly wanting to update my own home (even though at that young age, I couldn’t afford to do everything I wanted to). So I went to work for a large corporation, became a district manager, and worked 60+ hours a week, with extreme stress. I worked for that company for 14 years. After leaving, and after some real soul searching and investigating, I purchased this company, and have loved every minute of it. Absolutely no regrets!
