TSC Mechanical Air Conditioning & Heating can service any HVAC request including air conditioning repairs of duct systems, air filtration systems, and more. We also install high efficiency air conditioner units, split system air conditioners, and programmable thermostats for all of your air conditioning replacement needs. When you have an AC repair request at any time of the day or night, we will be there promptly with our 24 hours a day, 7 days a week emergency service.

Established in 1997.

TSC Mechanical is a small owner operated business. We specialize in AC unit replacement in the residential market, but also service all brands, and offer maintenance agreements. The owner has been in the air conditioning and heating business in the Midwest and Southwest for 41 years. The other 2 partners in the business are Son and Son-in-Law. They have been working in the trade for a combined total of 25 years. TSC Mechanical gets most of its revenue from referrals. In 2013, 95% of total revenues came from referrals, and in 2014, 97% came from referrals. We are very proud of this statistic and believe that the loyalty of our customers, shows how we operate our business, on integrity and fair pricing. We do what we say we will do, show up on time and perform quality work.

I’ve been in and around the cooling and heating business for 41 years. I started my career in Facilities as a Building HVAC Technician and Manager for Companies such as Montgomery Ward, Panasonic and Motorola. In 1985 I started my own AC and heating business in the midwest. Ive been contracting in Phoenix as TSC Mechanical for 8 years.

I have an associates degree in HVAC, and a BS in management. Our company is licensed, bonded and insured, we are Nate Certified, Better Business Bureau certified, and rebate eligible contractor for SRP and APS.

I taught HVAC at Triton College in River Grove Illinois in 1991 – 1992.

I’m not questioning the competency of TSC Mechanical but I do have issues with the professionalism and legitimacy of the recent service work performed. We recently had a smart thermostat installed. When our HVAC unit failed to turn on the heat the first time we used it, I thought perhaps the heat issue was related to the thermostat and I called TSC Mechanical. (For the record, when TSC Mechanical installed the thermostat they showed up as promised and the bill was actually just under what I was initially quoted)
On the heat related service call, Don from TSC informed me the heat pump had been neglected for some time and was in need of cleaning/service. The heat issue he diagnosed as a TRX valve and estimated it would cost about $ 900 to replace. I informed him that the unit was covered under home warranty and specifically asked him not to perform any expensive repairs. Don explained that the units were likely at the end of their life and recommended they be cleaned/serviced which I agreed to.
When presented the bill, I saw I was being charged $ 130 for a capacitor. I reminded Don that I didn’t want repairs done (just serviced) as the unit was under warranty. Don said the capacitor was reading zero so he had replaced it. OK, maybe I didn’t tell him soon enough or was clear enough? Adding to the list of gripes, I noticed after he had left that my garden hose he used was left strung out and still turned on. My ladder (which was used without asking) was still staged at the attic access panel as well and the panel was left off. (BTW, on the first visit he accessed the attic and I noted scuff marks on the access panel afterward.)
When another company later performed the warranty work to the heat pump to replace the valve, I told the technician that TSC Mechanical had told me it was $ 900 to replace the valve. The technician said the part was relatively inexpensive, though labor intensive, but he didn’t recommend calling that company back. Enough said — I won’t.

I wish I could give TSC 10 stars. They are the most reliable A/C company I know. I’ve been doing business with Don and his family for 5 years. He works valley wide, his crew is very professional. Today I called him thinking my overflow for my A/c was leaking and he was able to diagnose it and tell me it was not the A/C it was the water heater. He was able to fix it on the spot and cost much less than I had expected. Do yourself a favor, call these guys when you need help with you a/c!
